I had asked my doctor when it was okay to start drinking normal stuff because I didn't trust my dad when he said 1 day.
rofl Turns out it's a week and a half if you have dissoluble stitches.
I was fine to eat normally again after that time. Just take small bites and drink water with your food.
If only my drugged out self had such foresight. I knocked back a mountain dew between gauze changes..... three or four hours after surgery? /facepalm
I might call up my the place I got my teeth pulled and ask when I can hit up the coffee again and when I can stop worrying about getting a dry socket. My surgery went without any eventful discoveries, so my wait could be shorter. Or it could depend on what idiot proofing the dentist did in there. Some places online say 3-4 days later.
