Natron could at least tolerate most of the factions in Destiny City's little mess of a conflict. Those on the side of Chaos, of course, were his freinds. Senshi were evil alien invaders, but some of them were lost like Vanadis.
But Knights? Natron really, really hated Knights. One had attacked him just for doing his job, another had beaten him down his first night out, and a third had gotten into a nasty verbal argument of circling disagreements with him. So when he detected a distinctly Knight-ish energy signature on his radar, he went hunting. So what if this was someone more powerful than him? He was pretty sure he could handle it.

The night air was cool and clean and smelled of the city. Celsus loved the city at night, loved the way everything light up and there were lights everywhere and the sound of music could be heard reverberating through the streets and the clubs and everything was just alive.
At the moment he was patrolling the outskirts of a nearby park, which was mostly empty, save for a few lingering civilians. There was a couple curled together on one of the benches, heads together, merely enjoying the evening, while a couple of idiot teenagers were clustered beneath a tree, trying to figure out how to get themselves some booze.
Celsus, hidden up in the leaves of those bushes, watched with amusement as they group of teens finally decided on a (rather lame) plan and trundled off. They were followed closely by the couple, who had decided it was time to leave, and soon the park was empty, and Celsus was alone.
He didn't really mind. Stretching his legs out in front of him on the thick branch, he leaned back against the trunk of the tree and folded his hands together across his lap, humming a little. He could detect a faint energy signature from somewhere nearby, but he made no move to find it, considering he had the distinct idea it was coming to find him.
So he waited.

Natron slowed as he got closer, then stopped for a moment. Was he really doing this? Charging into a fight with someone just because he was pretty sure it was a Knight? Was he really going to start a fight with someone stronger than him?
Ye,s yes, and yes, he decided, and he kept walking through the park, on the lookout for the source of the energy signature he was following. He was glad this place was empty, it was good for avoiding getting civilians caught in a powered crossfire.
He spotted the young man under the tree and frowned. Yup, there was the source he had been looking for. The Negaverse agent stopped several yards away from him; speaking distance but not close enough for fisticuffs quite yet. He was gripping his dodgeball tightly.
"Out for a stroll?" He asked, an edge to his voice.

The branches of the tree shook as Celsus stretched and stood, perching precariously on the thick oak branch. He held onto the trunk and smiled down at the newcomer, his other hand resting on his hip, surveying him over the tops of his square glasses.
"Well, well, well," he said lightly, and the light caught the glass, reflecting on the shadowy ground below. "Look what we have here. A delightful member of the Negaverse decided to come and say hello. I must say, I am quite pleased to meet you."
With agile movements, he crouched down, wrapped his hands around the branch, and swung himself down to the ground, landing with a neat thud in the grass. Celsus straightened, then spread his arms wide, ducking into a low bow, one foot extended behind the other.
"Celsus, Squire of Chronos, at your service."

Natron frowned. What was it with Order people and being fair and reasonable some nights? He would've preferred someone confrontational, or even mocking, that would have been so much easier.
"If you're trying to lull me into a false sense of security, it won't work," he warned.
It almost surprised him when the self-introduced Squire dropped out of the tree and bowed, but, well, he figured he ought to return introductions in kind.
"Lieutenant Natron. You already know I'm from the Negaverse." He said. Then, he waited. "What, no condemnations?" He asked. He had gotten well used to being informed he was a terrible person for doing what he did, doing his job as a member of the Negaverse.

He hadn't met this one before. This Negaverse Lieutenant was wiry and lean, with a sharp, angular face and light brown hair that fell to his shoulders, radiating irritation. However, Celsus gave him a pleasant smile, and then arched a brow, tilting his head a little to the side.
"Certainly, I'll give you condemnations, if that's what you wish," he said agreeably. "But my dear Lieutenant, I don't usually start off conversations with the more negative aspects of things. It doesn't make for a particularly good sparring match - which is what I assume will occur eventually, sometime in the very near future - and anger in battles is never a good thing."
Celsus idly twisted the pendant around his neck, the smile becoming more pronounced.
"Well, then," he said. "Now that the introductions are over...shall we get on with it, then? I assume you're here to provide me with some sort of disservice, such as attacking me, which will probably result in a spectacular fight?"

There was a reason he had become thoroughly unfond of Knights, potential corruptions into the Negaverse or not. In a strange way, Celsus's politeness was becoming grating - probably because right then, Natron was pre-judged against him.
"Oh, I dunno, anger has served me pretty well in the past." That, or annoyance, or panic, or the desire to protect someone. Alright, so he fought for all kinds of reasons, and right now irritation at the Squire's smooth confidence was topping the list. "If you're up for a fight, I can certainly start one." He said.
Though he wasn't sure how spectacular it would be. After all, he was still a nerdy kid with a dodgeball, Negaverse power or not. But, well, he had a dodgeball, and he forcefully tossed it at Celsus. It was as good an opening as any.

Celsus clicked his tongue.
"Tut tut," he said, and the smile on his face widened, almost Cheshire-catlike in the waning moonlight. "Anger isn't always the best, Lieutenant. I should thing that someone of the Negaverse would learn that eventually, but apparently I am quite mistaken."
He took a step back, spread his arms again, and tilted his head, shoulders rising and falling in a shrug.
"You lot will never learn."

Natron was getting really fed up with this guy's smug attitude. Overconfident, and why? Because he happened to be a power level above the Lieutenant?
"Do you always act like a cocky a**?" He asked, recalling his weapon to his hands and giving it another forceful toss. This time he followed up by running at the Squire, fully intending to punch that smug face in given the opportunity.

Celsus quirked a brow.
"Cocky?" he said lightly, and smiled, eyes flickering towards the weapon in the Lieutenant's hands. "No, my dear sir, I am not cocky. Merely honest to a fault, though some might perceive it as something else. I suppose," he added with a small sigh. "if you're unintelligent you'd view it the wrong way."
He twisted easily where he stood, the brunt of the Negaverse's hit missing him, though it still caught a glancing blow to the side of his face. Celsus ducked down and spun out his leg in a swift roundhouse kick to knock his feet out from beneath him.
"Come now, that's no way to play nice."

"Throw aprund whatever insults you want," Natron replied, "guarantee you I've heard it before." Really, was calling him stupid going to help win this little fight? Probably not.
The roundhouse kick did indeed send him falling, but he was getting kind of good at the falling thing, so while he did go down he was able to catch himself and roll to mitigate the actual damage.
It was sad how much practice he had getting knocked on his behind.
"No, it's not, but then I wasn't trying to play nice anyway."

Celsus's expression was one of mock indignance.
"My dear man, I never insult. Speak truthfully, well, now, that's another thing entirely, now isn't it."
Looking down at the Lieutenant, Celsus smiled.
"Come now, Lieutenant, don't lollygag about."

Natron pushed himself up quickly, going from "on the ground" to "throwing a punch" way faster than would have been possible if not for his increased Negaverse strength and speed. At this point, he was pretty much done talking. He wanted to beat this Squire into the dirt and words weren't going to get him there.

The punch did not hit entirely accurately, but it still packed a wallop, grazing against Celsus' cheek and most likely leaving an enormous bruise. He stumbled back, regained his footing, and then promptly kicked said foot into Natron's knee.
"My my, can't take a joke now can we? Tsk."

Natron stumbled backwards from the hit on the knee, very nearly going down. His recovery became another strike, shifting to punch at Celsus's gut. He was enjoying this close-combat thing. He still wasn't talking, however, refusing to rise to and respond to Celsus's taunts. Talking had never done much for him, and especially in this case he was pretty sure it would get him nowhere. Sure, some Knights were worth having a chat with., Not this one.
