So, I'm sure a lot of you have heard Psy's song "Gangnam Style" before. I was wondering does anyone else enjoy listening to K-Pop? If so, who are your favorite groups? Have you seen any of them in concert or would like to? Also, what are your favorite songs?
I was first introduced to K-Pop at the age of 12. I gave it a try because at the time, I was obsessed with BoA, the chick who sang the ending credit "Every Heart" for Inu-Yasha. I soon found out that she was also successful as a Korean singer so I listened to her songs and that lead me to my deep love for K-Pop. My favorite groups include f(x), Big Bang, shinee, Miss A, 2NE1, and Sistar.
I enjoy K-pop I remember when I first got into it when I was 16. Being black every one thought I was crazy and a loser now they are always bumping Gangam Style talking about how much they love K-pop. Its funny how things changes so fast. My favorite band right now is B.A.P, Big Bang , and 2nee1

Haha, yes the MV is quite...silly xp Even the artist himself thinks so. In his making of Gangnam Style video, he's seen filming a section, watches it with the director, and laughs his a** off at his own absurdity.

Gangnam Style's the only K-Pop thing I've listened to... I like it, but I prefer J-Pop.. :3 Japanese sounds cuter and prettier to me. 4laugh
But y'know, I dunno... I'll have to listen to more songs than just the one to actually determine what I like.. <_<

I tend to like the lyrics to J-Pop a lot better. It's so much more poetic 3nodding You could try listening to Shinee. I usually start off people new to K-Pop with them.

I prefer Gangnam Style to mainstream k-pop because the lyrics of Gangnam Style tend to be a social parody. biggrin

Ah, it's funny how people listen to that one song and then they claim themselves to be K-Pop fans. I suppose it's great that K-Pop is starting to get more attention in the US despite its attempt to debut groups like Wonder Girls and 2NE1.

Yeah 2NE1 is a pretty fun group it sucks that they do not get the attention they should get. It is funny I know alot of people think that one song makes them the worlds biggest fans of k-pop. My roommates plays it so much it drive me crazy I always tell them you know there is another version of the song or that is not how you say that word. Or my favorite thing was when she first heard it she thought it was about the animated horses in the begin of the video
I'm kinda into k-pop, but I'm a newer fan so I haven't really got around a lot of the groups. Currently I like the band G-dragon, especially their song "Heartbreaker."

They just added "Gangnam Style" to Dance Central 3 for xbox kinect. It's pretty fun! -breaks into horse dance- 4laugh

I used to listen to a lot of J-pop.
However, this particular song drives me nuts. I am so ready for it's fifteen minutes of fame to be over now.
