What is your dream home like? Where would it be located? Post pics and type details! ^.^
My dream home would be one of those huge houses that is like I think either stone or brick.......I don't know, but they are really nice. I pass one all the time when I am taking the back roads.
It would be kind of nice to live in a gated community but I wouldn't want to be responsible for other peoples kids because communities like that are kind of tight knit in a way and it would be kind of annoying because I'm not much of a kid person right now.
As for the location I don't want to live in the city but I don't want to live in the country, just somewhere in between where like I am not far away from shopping centers, but I don't live in the middle of nowhere but also at the same time I'm not close to traffic either. I guess a regular old neighborhood would be fine like the one I live in now. Shopping center is five minutes away as is Walmart and such.
Anyways this is an example of the brick like house I would like to live in.

i want a small house, since i plan on living alone, and have each room following a different culture or something. at least one has to be Japanese, if not most/the entire house. not sure as to design, though. *shrug* but overall, minimalist/comfort. something easy to keep and maintain, y'know?

My current dream home is a Victorian-ish house I pass by when I go visit friends in Lancaster, PA. Built in 2007 and never lived in, it's 3 bedroooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 3 car garage, and - most importantly - it's on 6 acres of prime Pennsylvania farmland.
Every time I pass by it I start daydreaming about a vegetable garden, a small orchard, chickens, and either a small-breed dairy cow or a handful of sheep... *sigh* heart

♥ My if-I-ever-won-the-lottery-dream-home is this. It's beautiful, secluded and I could imagine waking up every morning and enjoying a cup of tea whilst looking at the view. But honestly, I'd be happy just to own a little three bedroom home with a few acres in or out of town with a little orchard, vegetable patch, chook yard and room for my partner's sheep and our goats.

See that? If I won the lottery, I'd go for a large Victorian house. I've been into Gothic and Victorian styles for so damn long. I'd want on of those sitting windows that is into the wall and the sill is upholstered and the sides that are at a 90 degree angle with the windows to be little bookshelves. I'd have gothic furniture and a lace canopy over my bed. Everything would be a black/red/grey theme. Maybe some royal violet thrown in. My bathroom would have a large porcelain clawfoot tub and a large armoire full of I Love... bath stuff- particularly Raspberries and Black Raspberries. I'd use a bedroom as a closet- fill it with cosplays and Gothic lolita XD Another bedroom would be the art studio :I

New dream house! It's south of where I live instead of in Pennsylvania, on 12 acres, with two horse barns and a larger house, and it's priced almost 30% LESS then the PA spread.

Dream home? Mine is rather small, large enough for me, my fiance and maybe a child or two. The public rooms would be very minimalist, with the bedroom very Gothic and ornate. Neutral colors in the public rooms, master bedroom fairly dark, with the lights being 'candles' and the master bath (if there is one) cozy. If there are children, their rooms can be decorated the way they want, within limits. And now the temporary internet that the college has finally set us up with is glitching...already.

this is an older topic, but you cares?! i like this.
honestly, i have like... three different dream houses. i think it'd be so great living in the city. yet, i think it'd be really nice to have a modern home a little more isolated. but at the same time, having so much room to roam around in the country would be epic.
oh! like ursula in kiki's delivery service.
FFFF--i don't know what i want.
as long as i have my really cool reading space and studio and and and room to run, workout and swim, and play my music and paint, i think i'll be happy, c:

Once upon a time, during my late teen years (circa 2000), I dreamed of having a traditional yet modern Japanese home like this one:

But that dream was ruined years later after watching so many Asian Horror flicks. All I could imagine was long-haired ghosts coming out of the closets and stuff. xD
Nowadays, my dream home is not a home but a roomy apartment for me, the boyfriend, and his adorable and energetic 5 year old son who stays over 3 days every week. We don't like the idea of slaving ourselves cleaning and maintaining a big house. D: And we're both minimalists and like the same color schemes so something like this would be ideal:
