Jonathan Brandis was the star of movies such as Sidekicks, The Neverending Story Part 2, and Ladybugs. He also starred in a television show called Seaquest.

Boy to Man
Brandis plays as a young boy here who is in love with the girl who lives next door, but doesn't want to show his feelings afraid of offending the one he loves. The girl knows that he loves her, and yet isn't sure why he doesn't advance his feelings on her.
One morning, on the day that Jon was looking forward to handing in an assignment, failed to wake up on time. When his father went in to wake him, his dad had him rushed to hospital. The doctors told Jon that he must do something about this "build up" otherwise next time...he might not survive.
The day after the assignment was due, Jon asked his best friend, which was the girl next door to meet with him someplace private so they could talk about something personal. It was then, when they met in that private place, that Jon revealed his feelings towards her.
That night, they made love, and from then on, it was known that Jon and the girl next door was a couple for all time.
