As Dylis began to leave, Nili himself sighed. Although much too quietly to be heard by the ears of his potential hunter who was troting off towards her next meal.
He then turned his attention out towards where his herd was, forcing himself to squint in order to make out a small shadow of one of his comrads... It seemed like they were moving, that wasn't good. Nili was going to be left behind if he kept resting!
He slowly stood up, switching his attention between his herd and the jackal to ensure she didn't get herself caught in the nest somehow. Taking a few steps foward, Nili cast a final glance at the jackal searching for snakes in the grass. He didn't even know her name, which he felt inclined to ask what hers was so that he could brag to his healer buddies about this encounter with her.
Then again, she could always just be the jackal to him and his friends. Nili would always vividly remember what color she was, even if he had forgotten all about the rest of the details. He was sure he would. For that reason, he didn't speak another word to her, and simply left himself, on his way to his herd whom seemed to be getting smaller and smaller in the distance...
