The night was young and Tian spent it running around. For the most part, she was just running around. There were times she sensed other Order or Chaos energies around her, but there was something bugging her... Like she just didn't want to deal with them today. Meeting other Order members were nice, but Tian was getting to the point where she just felt sad whenever she had to battle someone Chaos aligned.

Eventually, Tian just chose to sit up in a tree at some random street. She realized that it wasn't just the fighting, but more so that Tian knew she depended highly on her attack to give her some defense. More often than not, the mask chose to land on her and well... Put her in a bad position. Tian could defend herself due to her fencing abilities, but it was the attacking that was the problem. There were moments where she could see open spots like in fencing, but she couldn't just outright charge.

It felt like she waited to long. Tian felt that she was lucky to even get out of those tight positions. If she held back any longer, Tian felt like she might not be able to see the next day. "Ugh... I need to be able to charge people... To stop holding back. These people can be as and even more dangerous than myself yet I hold back..."

Tian eventually noticed another Order energy approaching where she sat in the tree. Since she knew she wasn't going to get attacked, Tian just sat there, pondering how she was going to fix her mentality of battle.

Aventine was still figuring out the whole energy signature thing, but she recognized a good one when she felt it. It was with great interest that she made her way towards the signature, half because she was bored, and half because she hated walking around by herself. It wasn't that she was the type of girl who couldn't stand to be alone, but she was the type of girl who had already been outside for three hours, been chased by a youma, and been absolutely socially starved.

If that hadn't been reason enough to seek out the signature, her curiosity justified it enough.

"Hello?" she called, making her presence known well before she first saw the senshi. Far too often were they hiding in trees; when she saw no one at ground level, that was exactly where she found herself looking.

"Oh—there you are," she said when she spotted the girl. "What do you people do up there? Is it really that fun? Can I join you up there or were you on your way down?" she asked, hand on her hip and smile on her face.

Tian had heard the footsteps, but had thought they were going to pass at first. It wasn't until Tian heard the voice did she look down. She was surprised to see a brown haired girl in pink and gold color. Her outfit was definitely cute. The feeling of the girl's energy seemed like Sutai's, but the girl didn't look like a Polaris page. "She's probably a page of somewhere else? Sutai did say there were other Princesses with pages..."

She held on tightly to the tree branch as she looked down. "Well, I can come down if you'd like. Or you can come up. I was just... Thinking about... Stuff?" Tian used one hand to wave and smile. "And I'm TianGuan by the way... Or just Tian. It's easier to remember. And kind of fits since I'm sitting in the sky now and a meaning of Tian is 'sky'." Her mind was thinking of so many things that she couldn't help but wander.

"I'm not quite sure of your name, but you're a page right?" She paused for a little bit trying to think of something to say with that. "I met another page a little while ago, and your energies feel very similar yet... Different. I guess I'm testing myself." Tian let out a half-laugh.

"Testing myself with stuff like this... I need to gain more experience with all of this stuff."

"Tian, definitely," Aventine said; TianGuan was a mouthful and when she was already trying to learn everyone name, she was willing to take as many shortcuts as possible. "You seem pretty informed about your name," she added, realizing she knew next to nothing of her own name sans Venus, hill of Rome, something about birds, a river…

Yeah, she was probably going to have to go freshen herself up and not do research while downing some fruity cocktail.

"I'm Aventine," she introduced with a broad smile. "Page of Venus, so you're pretty spot on with that. I'm still working to meet other pages—point me in the right direction, please! Every Knight I've met has been stronger than me. It's frustrating. I'm the weakest link! It'd be nice to find another newbie to partner up with so these professionals don't realize what a newbie I am, but," she shrugged. "Eh, whatcha gonna do?"

Tian laughed. "Yeah... I think I spent a few hours researching it the first time I powered up." That day, she had spent hours research her namesake as well as trying to learn more about the battle. Despite it being the Internet, there wasn't much information besides the basics on her star. It was only because of her visit did she see and understand more. As for the battle between Order and Chaos... There were lots of conspiracy theories; she doubted anyone actually a part of it would post anything for all to see.

"That's a pretty name," Tian said while looking at her smiling. "I only know of Sutai, a page of Polaris. I have her number though so I can always bug her if you want to have like... A three way patrol or something."

"Three way patrol... That sounds kind of a stupid way to put things..." She let out a small sigh as it seemed like her brain was not on properly. Instead of making Aventine climb up, Tian made her way down the tree. As a civilian, Tian probably would have never been able to go up at all, but as Tian, she was down in a few seconds.

"I know what you mean. Sutai and I took down one youma working as a team and it made me feel better. My Senshi attack helped, but when it came to physically attacking it, I wasn't too much help." Tian paused, wondering if she should tell Aventine that much in the beginning. "Fencing is one thing I like doing in my free time, and it doesn't help much when I have to spend more time dodging before looking for a good time to attack."

"Oh, fencing?" the woman prompted; she'd always figured that was just some fancy sport for rich kids, but—hey, whatever it took to float your boat. "I don't have anything so—I mean, I've got rugby, if that counts. I think it counts. I've been in a few squicky spots where it really helped me out, but I guess—some of these people pack a whallop! Do they have some…Negaverse-slash-DMC-training ground they're all hitting up in their free time? Because, one of these days I might just have to talk to someone. Not that I'm having a tough time or anything," she insisted, "But like. Rugby. I know how to run, elbow and tackle. I don't know kung-fu or whatever the hell everyone around here seems to know."

She sighed, a bit exasperated; she hadn't been in any deadly battles yet, but thankfully the only people she'd bumped into so far were no stronger than she was. Things could have gotten kinda grimy if she'd run into one of these 'dangerous' Dark Mirror Senshi or high level, mega-evil Negaverse Generals. "So—yeah, Sutai?" she prompted. "I've never met a Sutai before, but I figure I oughta soon, I guess. Not like I need any help on patrols or anything, but, you know. I don't want to get bored."

…And maybe it would be nice to have someone watching your back. She was lowest on the food chain right now, and she was arrogant and reckless, but that didn't mean she had to be stupid. She'd go out by herself whenever she damn well pleased—but she'd take a sidekick any day.

"Haha, yeah. It's something that I picked up during middle school and haven't stopped since. It's good for dodging, but... More often than not I run into people that straight out charge." Tian paused before speaking again. "Doesn't give much time to think of a strategy. It does feel like they have some sort of boot camp sometimes." She laughed.

"I can honestly say sometimes I have a hard time." Tian smiled at Aventine. "I'd love to be able to elbow and tackle. Sometimes I feel like I'm too nice. Too much thinking can be a bad thing, right?" There had been times where went to attack a person, hoping to hit some weak point and she'd be taken down easily. "I'm definitely not strong enough."

Tian lifted up her arms to show Aventine her dinky wrists, somewhat as a joke. "See... No muscles." Well, of course there was some, but those were only the ones gained by writing for endless amounts of time as well as trying to keep Cotton steady when they were out on walks sometimes.

It didn't seem like a bad idea though, having someone to watch your back. "I wouldn't mind having people with me at night. Most of the time there isn't much going on, but I hate those days where I run into people that might be doing something bad, yah know?"

Then we should stick together for a bit!" Aventine blurted, broad grin plastered on her face. "And we can watch each other's backs—you know—because even if nothing much is happening, it doesn't mean it'll always be that way! And—and maybe we can learn some things from each other, right? You," she gestures in a rather excited fashion to the senshi, "Might be able to teach me a little bit about dodging and being all quick and flashy, and in return, maybe I can teach you a thing or two about using your body as a weapon? Because—you know—girls are naturally at a disadvantage against guys, but even if you don't have any muscles, it doesn't mean you can't pack a wallop. Shoulders and elbows? No matter how little muscle you've got, you jam that in the neck? The ribs? Even the armpit—it hurts. Here, want me to show you?" she said, perhaps sounding a bit too eager to aim an attack at TianGuan.

"I'd like that a lot!" Tian smiled and went for a hug. "I feel like I meet a lot of people that are better than me and wouldn't want to work with me. Well, Sutai was nice and you're definitely nice! I have to admit, I'd feel bad if I was more of a problem than help."

Tian was still happy though. She met someone that wanted to work with her both day to day as well as training. There was probably a lot she could gain from Aventine, and hopefully she could share some of what she knew from fencing. "Ohh! We could help each other a lot, I think!"

"I can teach you to dodge and you can teach me to... Give and take hits?" Tian wasn't 100% sure how to play rugby, but just thought of it as American football. It made Tian nervous that Aventine already wanted to attack her, but if it was for the sake of learning, she'd do it.

She stood in a stance where Tian hoped she could defend herself. Her legs were apart and her arms were crossed against her chest. "I don't mind a hit, but is this okay to defend myself?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah!" Aventine rushed, rolling her shoulders back before taking on a rather casual stance. "All right, I'm gonna try and go easy on you, because I don't want to hurt you or anything. I just have too much energy," she laughed.

"The key to a good jab is that—well, it has to be good," she explained eagerly. "In rugby we don't really play to hurt each other, but there's kinda not an easy way to shove someone out of the way. Of course, if you jab too hard it's foul and. I totally don't have any experience with that. Anyway, momentum is important—like, it's your best friend. It makes or breaks you." She paused, then added "Literally."

People were breaking things out on the field all the time, so it was all about mastering your body and mastering your skills. "And even if you're a tiny thing, you can do a lot of damage. Like, right now, from…" she looked around and took a few steps back. "From this distance, in a run, if I hit you just right, I can knock you breathless and sweep you off your feet. Of course, that's kinda just my style." She smiled, and threw in a wink for good measure. "So hold your breath for a second, mmkay?"

Aventine offered no further warning; she hunched forward a bit and charged. The page was careful to keep her elbow to herself, as she really didn't want to break anything or chase off the senshi," but she wasn't exactly gentle when she slammed her shoulder into TianGuan's stomach. She didn't stop just there; with her arm in place, she heaved the senshi up and continued running for a few feet until she skidded to a stop. "—And if I wanted to be really cool, I'd throw in some wrestling moves," she said, voice only slightly strained from the additional weight.

Tian blinked and listened intensely as Aventine spoke. In all honesty, she was afraid of getting hurt, but... No pain no gain, right? The fact that she knew how to tend to wounds reassured her mind that even if she did get her, it wouldn't be permanent. Most of the worry was from the shock and having to endure until she got home.

All the information Aventine was feeding her amazed her just a little bit. Aventine seemed so nice; Tian was having a hard time seeing the page ramming into one, but the thought amused her. She knew that others probably wouldn't see that she could do something like that either which gave her the element of surprise!

"Okay," Tian responded to Aventine, just a bit shakey. She took a deep breath and then held it, waiting for Aventine's charge. When it came, the page easily hit Tian hard and well... It hurt! Aventine kept going, even picking up Tian slightly. If it wasn't for the pain she was feeling from Aventine, Tian would have been more than amazed. When Aventine stopped, Tian looked at the page with wide eyes. "That was amazing!"

"I've... Always been small so I've never even tried anything like that. But.. Now that I know it's possible, I can try it!" There was so much excitement in Tian's voice that it sounded like a little kid with a new toy. "I've always just been good at dodging because I was quick... Now... I can do more!"

"Is there like... Specific moves I should do?"

"Go wild!" Aventine encouraged, looking thrilled. "Never underestimate what you can do! I can show you a ton of methods, but I guess I don't really have any specific moves. It's just kinda things I grew into…things that felt comfortable when I was doing them. Shoulders, elbows, head. I do a mean headbutt, but I guess you have to try things out to figure out what works for you. I never really learnedh ow to fight anything professional, so I'm probably not the best person to ask, but…I mean, it can't hurt to try new things out, right? I showed you one of my favorites, do you want to try something out? As long as you don't hit me in the face, I promise I'll be a good sport about it. Who knows, maybe you're a master at headbutting!" She rolled her head back a bit, shrugged her shoulders, and then took up a defensive stance. "Oh," she suddenly blinked. "—But first, I guess I oughta make sure you're okay. I didn’t hit you too hard, did I?"

For the first time, she seemed like she might be a little worried. Gentleness wasn't always her forte, and she didn't want this to be some meeting that ended terribly. She was looking to make allies—not chase people off!

Tian was still unsure of herself and her abilities, but if Aventine could do it, so could she. She put on a brave face and nodded when Aventine asked if she wanted to try. There hadn't been many times she'd be using her whole body weight, mostly because it would lead to falling over in fencing. "I'll give it a try!"

She let Aventine ready herself. Tian took a few steps back before she paused, taking a deep breath and trying to decide what she should do. Remembering what Aventine had just done moments ago, Tian kept her elbows close to her body and ran towards Aventine. When she felt the impact with Aventine, Tian could feel that she was pushing Aventine back a little bit, but there was no way she could heave Aventine up like Aventine had done to her earlier.

There was no way her push was as strong as Aventine either.

When Tian finally stopped pushing Aventine, Tian was a bit sore already. Her muscles were not used to being used in this way. If she were to kick or just run, she probably could do it for a while since she spent most nights running and jumping through the city. Her legs were in shape, not her arms.

Tian raised her arms over her head and stretched them. "It seems like I might have done some good through that, but I think I should really start lifting weights at the gym or something," Tian told Aventine with a laugh. "How do you keep up your strength? Maybe I could come play rugby with you sometime...?"

"Not bad!" Aventine immediately complimented, brushing herself off. "And, a pretty little thing like you, lifting weights? That's something I'd like to see," she laughed. "I've never been to a gym so I don't really know what it's like. But I do some things at home—you know, workout routines?"

Thankfully, living by herself meant she could engage in as many ridiculous workout videos as she liked in her living room. She waved her hand nonchalantly, not too impressed with the idea of expanding on the subject. "Just some programs. Anyway, yeah—absolutely. You'd be more than welcome to come play rugby with me, as soon as, ah…as I find a new team. My old team kinda disbanded a few months ago, so I've been just puttering around. I met a nice girl, though—she's got this roller derby team? So I'm kinda looking into that to see what it's all about. Not so good on the skates yet, but, working on it," she promised, grin on her face.

And then she realized that she'd gotten somewhere terribly off track along the way and hastily aimed to correct, "Oh! But—yeah, if we could get enough people together, I'd love to get a good game of rugby! It's just not the same when you're watching it on the telly, you know? But—yes, absolutely. If you aren't afraid of getting a few bruises and mucking up your clothes, I would love to get you into a game!"

In response to Aventine's comments on her looks, Tian couldn't help but stick out her tongue before speaking again. "Well, I can't imagine a pretty thing like you playing rugby either," she told Aventine with a laugh. "I do have to admit, that made my arms and legs a little sore. Though my legs are used to running around the city so they're not that bad."

She stretched her arms over her head and bent over to stretch her leg muscles real quick. It gave them a temporary relief from the strain, in which Tian was grateful for. Her mind piqued at the mention of a team and games. It was something Tian was definitely up for trying, but it scared her at the same time; she was not used to getting rough.

"If you're good at rugby, I'm pretty sure you'd be wonderful at roller derby!" Tian had watched some on TV before. It was only a quick passing when she was channel surfing, but Aventine seemed like a person that would have the guts to be like those girls. "I would probably try that as well, but I'm... not a good skater."

Truth be told, Tian did not know how to skate, but that didn't seem like information that Aventine needed to know.

"Well you taught me what you know how to do! Are you ready for me?" Tian smiled. It was definitely different than what Aventine just taught her. "You can do the same thing you did before, but this time, I won't let you hit me. I'll give you a hug instead." Tian winked at Aventine.
