Ever wonder about your shadow? Why there is always that dark reflection of yourself that appears at times? What if your shadow had a life of its own, a whole other appearance besides your own? Forget all the questions, because you'll have your answer. A random day like any other, on your walk home, or to wherever, your shadow is your companion. But something is off, your shadow ripples, warping into what seemed a black pool of nothingness. This shadowy pool moves around you, sucking you in in your panic. How strange right? Stranger thing is, you think you're dreaming, by now as you're waking up, you don't even remember the incident with your shadow. Now what is going through your head is 'Where am I...why is it so dark...where is this place?' As you look around your strange surroundings, rubbing your aching head, as if you'd been hit, things are foggy in your memory. But you certainly know you're not home, not in a place you should be. The city is dark, there are people walking around doing other activities, the other thing that seems strange...no sun light, and no shadows coming off the people around even when they walk under the path of the few lights that littered the streets from lamposts. Pushing yourself to your feet you start to wander about, searching for something...help maybe.

The Shadows:

Your shadow has its own life here, own appearance, different from your own, different name even. But they feel a strange attraction to their counterparts, the normals who live up amongst the sunlight and everything. So somehow, somwhere, and someway your shadow will cross your path. Neither will know each other or even the fact that this is that person's shadow, they just think you're someone new in their world to interact with or...do what they may, as their personalities differ greatly from your own.

Rules

Basics: terms of service
Follow Gaia ToS and any forum rules. No godmodding, cybering, spamming, auto-hitting, the works. Keep things PG 13. That includes foul language - yes, swearing is allowed, but just keep it in moderation. Don't go overboard and drop the f-bomb every single post.

Literacy: Semi lit to Lit

At least a paragraph, I can understand writer's block or being too busy but please post and don't disappear without notice, I'd like to know if you can't post for a period of time. As far as the way the posts look, they can be elaborate or not, just have a pic at least.
