An old building in Inaba that was abandoned during troubled times and has yet to be formally reoccupied, save by those who tread a darker paths... among other things, it's considered to be haunted. Very haunted. Strange lights and noises have been heard in recent weeks, but nobody knows what's really going on inside.

Aselia Bluespirit

Aselia came to a halt outside the building that the demon had reported to her earlier. Her rate of breathing was barely increased; having grown up in a very wild area, even without her Atma she was pretty much capable of going all day if necessary. The jog from the school had barely been a light warmup, and she hadn't looked back as she'd dragged Asuka the entire way. The building itself was... well-used. Not to the level of falling apart and collapsing, but it was hardly an example of brand-new work. Kind of ironic, really, considering what Rednal did for a living... but Aselia nudged the door open and looked down a long, featureless hall, then took a few steps forward.

It was about then that the floor opened up beneath her, revealing a pit full of spiky death.

Kanade Tachibana, and Faustus Necromonium
As the ground fell out under Aselia, a pair of hands caught at her, belonging to her two followers.
"Gotcha."
Faust called, as the Silver haired girl's hands held her too, though much more silent.
Kanade had come, of course...but she still wasn't exactly pleased about it. The way the girl had been so aggressive in bringing her along.....
It still made her sore...Not to mention...

"Seems the place's more dangerous than it looks.." Faust called, glancing around. "I hope they're okay..."
of course, he was less worried about Rednal, who had innate Physical Resistance, and the ability to recover from things startlingly quick, and more about Yuno. She had no powers, far as he knew....Unless that one time...
He shook his head, before the two pulled Aselia back to safety.
"We should really be more careful.." he stated, plainly. "It wouldn't do us any good to die before finding them...Right?"
If only they had something that could scout out ahead of them...

Kanade herself reach into her pocket, palming her phone. She could always use...Them....But, she'd kept it a secret from most everyone....Save Jo(shu). She really should keep to that, until it was absolutely necessary.

"Nn?" Flap flap. Flap flap. Aselia had barely started to fall when white wings had burst out of her back, and a steady application of force was quite sufficient to allow her to hover in the air. Considering the trap had opened when she was in the middle, that meant she was actually the one holding the other two up... though figuring that being in the middle of an open pit area was probably a bad plan, the girl quickly headed to the other side and dropped Kanada and Jo(shu) to the ground before turning and waving to Asuka (who was still on the other side). "Nn!" she said cheerfully, before physically tackling Kanade and giving her a big hug. The girl stood up a moment later and smiled very widely as she faced the end of the hallway.

Vroom-vroooooom~

Still smiling, the girl held up a chainsaw that she'd pulled out of... somewhere. "Nn. <3" She was... actually really mad at Yuno, wasn't she?

Faust glanced around as the girl seemed to sprout wings, and then address him.
She...transforms? he thought quietly to himself, before the silver haired girl was tackeld.

"L...Let me go...! she snapped, pulling herself free from the girl as she pulled out...a Chainsaw?
Hmmpth.. she thought, before the thin blades seemed to emerge from her arms. She seemed to visibly shudder for a bit, before calming down, her weapons at the ready. This...didn't seem like a simple kidnapping to her....

Faust himself sighed at the absurdity of the situation, though the cross on his wrist glew. If he could help it, he wouldn't try to use his persona in front of them....But, if he had to..

It somebody had been standing on the other side of the door, their first warning would have been a loud roar. The second warning would have been the chainsaw ripping through part of the door, by the hinges, and slicing downward to disconnect the door from its support. The door was kicked into the room a moment later, with the chainsaw being held at the ready by the very, very upset intruder.

"Nn?"

The room itself was... empty. There didn't even seem to be any other doors, or anything particularly stand-out, though the paint all seemed suspiciously new for a building as old as this one. "Nn..." Where did you go from here, in a situation like this...? Monsters and demons she was happy to fight, but...

Kanade Tachibana, and Faustus Necromonium
As Rednal's girlfriend decided it would be best to barge through, with a chainsaw....Faust had to supress a quiet chuckle at the absurdity. Really? A chainsaw? He had hoped that was a joke, but....
Glancing into the room, seeing everything was..empty. In any other case, he'd imagine that this would be an easy room to pass through....if this didn't seem like a trap.
"You should back up, Miss Bluespirit." Faust called, before raising his hand. "This doesn't look like....the kind of place that would be devoid of traps."
The bow of his conjured into existence, as he fired a set of arrows at the wall. If They didn't react....

Kanade, on the other hand, had considered that the whole thing could be a set up too. While Aselia may have been willing to trigger the traps...Kanade wasn't going to. Rather, through the cover of the chainsaw Roar, she had subtly pressed a few buttons on her phone, a middle-aged looking woman approaching.
"Brigid.." she muttered quietly, before sending her forward, following the blue haired girl in, and flying by. As the entrance to the building demonstrated.....They had to be extra cautious while traversing the area. Otherwise....

Quote:
Faust: Fires Medium-strength, Non-elemental Arrows at the walls, to test them.
Kanade: [Discreetly] summon Brigid to scout ahead.

"Ahahaha... it's just as I thought." Yuno said, watching the monitors as a very familiar girl used a frikkin' chainsaw to open the door. Which was immensely silly, because the handle would have worked just fine. "Those filthy girls all followed you here to try and pull you back into their world... but don't worry, Rednal. Yuno will protect you from the monsters." she ran a hand down his cheek. He was unconscious, of course. Her drugs had seen to that, so he wouldn't be aware of anything that was going on. All of the witches who wanted his pure affections for themselves, staining him with their disgusting ways... they were freaks, all of them, monsters who didn't even deserve to lick the dirt off of Rednal's shoes. And the thing about monsters, well... humanity's own power could do quite a lot to stop them. "So just sleep easily. I'll never let them hurt you ever again..." She gently pressed her lips to his before pulling back and turning to a monitor that had a wide variety of marked buttons. "Just come on in... I'll give you my warmest welcome. heart "

Kanade Tachibana, and Faustus Necromonium
Faust's ears perked up as the arrows seemed to ping off the walls, noticing as they made....strangely different noises.
"Hmm..." Faust thought out loud, before gesturing, pulling back again, and firing more Arrows into the Room, at the same spots as before. He wasn't planning on entering the room anytime soon....Especially without any visible cue...
I'm coming to save you two. he thought to himself as he fired again, aiming to punch a hole or two into the walls.

Kanade watched as her demon seemed to fly into the room, but yet...nothing happened.
She started to step forward, before glancing to the side. No....It still couldn't be that easy...
"That's not the way we need to go." she remarked, quietly. "There's no doors....No stairs..nothing."
That isn't to say they couldn't make a path, but.....
Her eyes glanced upward, before turning again.
If only Michieru was here....he could just fly up the building with his Angel... she thought, as she glanced around the room her and Faust were in. Surely, there was another path....

Quote:
Faust: Firing Arrows still, attempting to bust through the walls, simply.
Kanade: Looking for other places to move upward.

Eventually, Faust's barrage of arrows revealed several areas where stuff had been punctured through; it seemed that the doors of the room had simply been blocked up and painted over to match the rest of the chamber, but some good old-fashioned destruction was proving quite sufficient in clearing the paths. Which... was probably a problem, actually. Paths. Plural. As in more than one way to go; it was completely possible that a route might have been transformed into a dead-end that would try its hardest to kill everyone inside of it. For that matter, judging by the spike-pit at the entrance, it was possible that every route they saw was wrong and would try its hardest to kill them. You just couldn't say without trying them out, and who knew what sorts of crazy things the girl had rigged up... this probably wasn't going to be fun at all.

"Nn..." Unfortunately, just blowing up the entire building wasn't really a workable plan. It had its appeal, but if you killed the hostage, then you failed in the mission. More importantly, she cared about the hostage. Immensely. How to proceed, then...

"I know what you're thinking, and as fun as that would be, I don't see that being an option here, Aselia." Asuka said, reading her companion almost perfectly.
She placed her hand on the hilt of her short-sword, scanning back over what was in front of them. "I don't have a good feeling about this..." she stated clearly, not sounding worried though, on the contrary, she sounded rather serious. One way or annother, Yuno would have a lot to answer for.
"I'll follow your lead on this one, Aselia." Asuka looked back at the other girl, giving her a firm nod.

Faust eventually inched into the room, seeing three doors now present. With a fourth in their group, he wondered how they would progress....before she vocalized her own thoughts on the matter. He then sighed, and turned.
"I'll take the door on the right." Faust stated, as he moved over to the door. "I'll raise a signal, if anyone's there... good luck."
He was mostly worried about Yuno, though this strange little building. With all of the traps, he hoped she was okay...

Kanade herself glanced about as well, noticing as The doors were revealed, and Faust picked a door. Kanade looked to Aselia, before gesturing at the left door.
"Don't follow me..." she stated, still a slightly dark aura about her. "I'll give a signal if he's this way....And I won't do anything reckless... You two should take the middle path."
Though she tried to remain stoic on the matter, it was pretty easy to see through it. She needed to be alone.... Plus, with Brigid behind her, she didn't have to worry as much about traps...Being able to use her to go on ahead. Either way....
The door slammed shut behind her, as she moved on, keeping her eyes open for whatever may be lying in wait.

"Nn." Aselia told Asuka. It would probably be most convenient if Asuka waited where she was, in case there was any reason to break into one of the other hallways and perform a rescue or something. With that, the girl fluttered into the middle hallway... and heavy doors slammed shut behind the intruders, trapping each of them in the path they'd chosen.

Left Path

The building itself wasn't all that huge, and the hallway was actually quite short. Through the next door was what looked to be some sort of warehouse area, with a bunch of old storage shelves filling the room. Many still had boxes on them, big boxes, marked with a wide variety of numbers. A faint clattering could be heard from the far side of the room, but otherwise it was extremely quiet. Until the first pair of glowing red eyes appeared, anyways, and an Obariyon stepped into the light. They were small demons, without all that much in the way of magical power, but they were unusually strong for their size, too. A normal human wouldn't be able to stop them... and if Kanade was more than a match for one of them, well, that was probably why another forty-nine of the little monsters stepped forward to surround Kanade and Brigid.

"All right, boys, the lady said we could have as much fun as we wanted. CHAAAAAAAAARGE!"

Right Path

There wasn't even a hallway on this one. Buildings actually tended to be conservative, despite what video games suggested with their dynamic loading zones that took the form of pointlessly long hallways. This wasn't some masterwork maze, it was an old (but large) building. A television monitor flickered on in the corner. "Fausty, Fausty, Fausty... so you've betrayed me too, huh? But I won't let you help those filthy witches drag Rednal back into danger any longer. Don't worry, though... you'll die happy." The screen flickered off and metal shutters slammed down all over the room, blocking off every exit except for the ventilation, where a faint hissing sound could be heard. Ugh. Gas. And it probably wasn't going to take very long to fill up the room...

Kanade glanced about as the door shut on her own, before a pair of eyes seemed to glower at her. Had it been preceded by any other scene, she might have panicked, or even had the slightest worry.
Instead, she merely closed her eyes, a rare scowl appearing on her face as she bit her lip.
So many.... she felt, the Demon's energy provoking her in a more..Vicious way. Though she had suppressed it for a while, with this many near her....and with all of her anxiety..
No...I must resist.. she thought, before bringing her arms up defensively, a pair of blades coming out of them quickly...followed by the same visible shudder as before.
Got to...
A Surge of Ice then erupted from her blades, similiar to a Hailstorm of Energy burst out to some of the surrounding Obaryion. She didn't think she could hit all of them...and she didn't have a movepool to support sending out a wave of attacks to counter this many people, but....
That didn't mean she was going to just lie down and die. No....far from it.
The question was...How long could she endure, before.....
Brigid, on the other hand, seemed to generate a burst of Fire at one, glancing around.
Quite the troublesome lot... she thought, hoping her master could withstand the assault...And sensing something a little...off about her. Though she had been quiet often, (which was normal), she seemed merely meek before. This time though...it felt like....

Faust's ears seemed to perk up as a voice called out, a television on the other hand flickering a bit. Hearing her voice...And what she was saying made him flinch.
"Yuno! I came to save You..and Rednal!" he snapped back after her first sentence, over the last part. The shutters closing as the Tv flickered off got him to jump, and as a faint hissing sound could be heard, he instinctually covered his mouth.
Guess I gotta.. he thought, before energy gathered to his form, before glowing a faint green, hearing the voice in his head.
I am thou. Thou art I. We are as one..
The air around him seemed to shimmer a moment, before erupting into his Persona-Fusion form, being more resilient, even before his own healing factor. At this, he raised a hand, and dashed forward, then slamming his Fist into the shutters blocking the nearest path to move on, with his strongest physical assault. Though he wasn't doing so out of panic. No....
He was just in a rush about getting to wherever Yuno and Rednal were being held! And seeing if there was a path.

Left Path

With so many enemies swarming at once, any single-target spell wasn't really worth much. Sure, it was powerful enough to blast back one of the little demons... but it was like stepping on one ant while the rest of the horde was busy swarming you. The ice spell did a little more, but the demons were in separate groups to defy such tracking... and only several of them were struck. The remaining forty-four demons promptly dog-piled Kanade, grabbing all over her body as they sought to bring her down by any means necessary. It was kind of like being mobbed by a pack of killer chihuahuas, except they had hands and did more tearing and punching than biting. Brigid, meanwhile, was almost totally ignored... the monsters seemed to have grasped the idea of concentration of fire and were determined to beat their main target before mopping up any leftovers.

Right Path

The door, naturally enough, exploded. It was a human-made material, and not the kind of magical metal used by organizations like the Yatagarasu to interact with (and defeat) demons. It was a sturdy door, and no normal human was going to be able to break it down so easily... but yeah, application of Persona powers? The door was well and truly screwed. That door did lead to a hallway, though, and an enormous object dropped down from the ceiling in a classic "rolling ball trap" situation. Except it wasn't actually a ball. Technically, it was a cylinder. Balls had the unfortunate weakness of not covering corners, which meant sufficiently small people could lie down along the edges and let it bypass them. Cylinders, rolling along, were quite capable of filling more-or-less the entire hall, and this thing was one solid mass of weight. The door had been broken, but this path-blocking monstrosity wouldn't be destroyed so easily, and there wasn't really any room to maneuver. In the meantime, the gas kept filling the room. Immune to ailments or not, there was only so much you could do when the oxygen was being replaced and your ability to breathe was being stifled...
