Most of the Island belongs to the various creatures of Ignis alone. Humans are only permitted to live/visit certain areas. (The first two in the list below.)
Ocean Settlements: Human villiages are scattered along the lower east coast of the main island.
Shrine Island: Shrine Island is the smallest of the three islands. The only humans who live on this island are the Priest and Priestess who serve the Fire Goddess and Leyla. This island is home to the sacred shrine and well. Many villagers will travel to visit this sacred spot and leave offerings and messages for the Fire Goddess and Leyla
Cloacal Lake: Main fresh water source that feeds into all of Ignis' various rivers. The lake is considered to be a "hot spot" where multiple species meet and interact. Inhabitants are drawn from all over Ignis and often seek this place out when they are looking for either a mate or a fling.
The Haven Wood: Deep inside the Haven Wood is a little cottage. Inside the cottage lives an elderly alchmist, the father of the chimera race. Because the chimeras have their origins here, they have made these woods their home.
The Venture Marshes: A dangerous place but a prime fishing land. The Marshes are home to some of the more "darker" individuals of Ignis. Many young creatures dare each other to visit here.
The Grasslands: A place of meetings. When groups need to meet with each other, this is where they come. Alliances are formed, treaties are signed, and mates are determined here. During mating season, this is where those wishing to find a mate come to make it official. Also the home of the ferrets who have not bonded to a firecat or sprite.
The Shifting Sands: The firecats and their little brothers, the flames, can trace their origins to this desert.
Sacrosanct Peaks: With their extra fluff and warmth, the Fluff Tails call this mountain range home.
The Caves: The caves are sacred and said to be the home of Leyla. Only Firecats (and their related species) are allowed to enter the caves. According to tradition, every firecat makes a trip to the sacred caves upon turning of age. What happens in the caves is unique to each firecat, though it does involve a vision quest and quite often, a visit from Leyla.
Volcano Island: Volcano Island belongs the Sprites. (and the Fire Goddess and Leyla of course.) No humans may step foot on this island, though the other species of Ignis frequently visit it. The sacred Sprite Society is located in the Volcano.
