Time had stood still for Mychasi, he neither looked old, or grew. He always felt short compared to those around him, but that had yet to bother him any. He took notice, when he could, but other than that, he didn't care much. The grumpy look upon his face never changed. It seemed to be his norm. Just like when running into him. The night was young, and the sun had just gone down. Things were peaceful, and the birds had all stopped their evening songs.
He could hear an owl in the distance, which made it more real for him. Night was here at last. A sense of security and ease washed over him as he made his way around the lands. Grass swayed back and forth as he passed a tree. He liked the savanna lands quite well at night. It almost seemed more alive at night, than during the day. He watched as several mice ran between and around him as he walked. He tried not to place his foot on them as they moved. As soon as they had been there, they had gone. If he was one to smile, there would be one now. Even followed by a chuckle, but since he wasn't that type of lion, he just watched them and moved on.
He was delighted, yet it hardly shown on his face.
