She had decided.

Painite was unhappy with the course she had picked for herself. No, that she had let others pick for her. She had become enamored with this idea of the perfect life, that she could balance her work and her play, that she could have something more than what she knew. But it was stupid to dream of something so quaint and peaceful.

She didn't want a white picket fence. She didn't care about family. She was not meant for a loyal husband and a perfect life. She was, instead, a Negaverse General. She was forgetting herself, forgetting her power and just what she was capable of doing to the world around her.

If she couldn't live in peace, they certainly shouldn't be able to. Her role had always been that of the villain, she'd given it to herself when she first joined the Negaverse. Complacency had created something else, but that love of chaos and pain, misery and fear was still inside her. And she was determined to explore it once again.

She was going to be more than she ever had been. That was her destiny. Perched on a rooftop, looking out over the dark streets below, she just needed a target, a plan, and her rebirth would truly begin.

Kekipi was walking home, lost in thought and trying to figure out where exactly his life had become so complicated. He was a part of the Negaverse, a Corrupted senshi. But before that, he'd been a senshi on the other side. He didn't remember that at all, but he trusted in and believed those who had given him this information. And he appreciated that they'd chosen to save him rather than simply striking him dead.

But still, he felt lost, adrift. It was all very well to say that he had a place among this new "family". But when he was left mostly alone to muddle through things, it wasn't terribly helpful. Oh, he was sure that things would work out, but in the meantime, it did make for a sense of being uncomfortable when around those who'd liberated him from the lies of the White Moon. All he needed was a path to follow.

Well, he consoled himself silently, something would hit him eventually. He'd just have to be patient and keep his eyes open.

Painite saw a target, not realizing it was a Corrupted Senshi since they were powered down at the moment. All she saw was a civilian that she could attack and take some aggression out on. It would not be a good night for that hapless target.

But it would certainly improve her mood.

Leaping down, she landed in front of the civilian, spear in hand. No messing around here, not in the classic sense. She did grin at him, though, anticipating that he would be struggling to understand what she was doing before he could feel anything like fear or anger.

"I hope you had a nice night," she said, feeling a rush of a thrill at returning to her roots. Good old fashioned villainy, throwing cheesy one liners and savoring the feeling of having fun, doing her job, and being more than just a pawn in some bigger game. "Because it was your last."

She moved her hand to reach for his chest, her goal simply to pull his starseed and leave him on the ground for someone else, maybe her next target, to find.

Tangerine eyes widened as the strangely uniformed female suddenly landed in his path. He quickly took in the spear and the grin that meant him no good at all and wondered if this was one of those Knights he'd heard about. Except, Knight weren't supposed to offer violence to random people, were they? There was a great deal of information that he was missing.

And when her hand reached for his chest, he stumbled backwards, hands in the air to make whatever pitiful defense he could muster. He would only power up in he had absolutely no other option. If this was a knight, he couldn't afford to let her know what he was.

"Are you crazy, lady?" he yelped. "I thought your kind weren't supposed to go around scaring and threatening random passersby!"

"Isn't that cute? A little man who thinks he knows what he's dealing with. You have no idea what the Negaverse has to offer, kid, but you're about to learn."

She watched him, the idea that he might be another powered up being not occurring to her. Maybe it was the magic that protected them, distracting her and not letting the chance for her to realize something she shouldn't. Or maybe she was just too distracted to care.

All she saw was a target.

She called her weapon to her hand and watched him, grinning ear to ear. She had to admit, he had a bit of spunk, but that was just enough to amuse her and make her want to play with him.

And her version of playing wouldn't be very fun for him.

"How about I give you a head start? I'm feeling nice. If you can out run me, you can live."

Kekipi might have been a complete newbie to the whole ORder vs. Chaos war, but he knew enough to know that if he remained as Kekipi he'd have no chance against this woman. Though, he now knew she was sort of, maybe on the same side as him. Somehow, though, he had a feeling it wouldn't much matter to her.

"Doesn't anyone in the Negaverse ******** communicate with each other?" he muttered loudly enough for her to hear as he continued to back up. Hell, he might just take that head start. It might give him enough time to power up. At least as Haumea, he'd have a little more physical power at his command.

Maybe even enough to survive.

"Right, head start. See ya!" he blurted before turning to run. And as he dashed back the way he'd come, he was already calling on the power that would transform him.

"Haumea Power, Make-up!"

Painite gave chase to him, but came up short when he powered up. She looked at him in confusion for a moment, then frowned.

"Damn it, senshi!"

Because clearly this was all his fault. She had just wanted some nice time with a helpless civilian, but now she had this to deal with. Sure, she was the one that had attacked him and was still considering following through with it.

But that was not the point.

"What are you doing out here? I was looking for starseeds, and yours is no good to me!" She sighed, grumpy as all get out, but she supposed she could work with this. She had not spent much time with corrupted senshi recently, and she had never seen this guy before. She had to admit, she liked the look of him already.

Waiting for the axe (or more accurately, spear) to fall, Haumea stood warily, ready to run or attack as needed to keep his hide whole and entire. Tangerine eyes narrowed as the crazy lady spoke and with a bark of incredulous laughter, he answered right back.

"Hey, last I checked I was allowed to be out walking home. It's not my fault you decided to act crazy and scary."

For a moment, he considered using his magic on her. But given the spear she carried and her mood, he rather thought that the last thing he wanted was to lure her closer in to his person.

He was not suicidal, thanks.

"How do you know I was acting?" she asked, her expression serious, but then she smirked at him and folded her arms over her chest. She did not look too angry, but her expression was not exactly friendly either. It was critical and interested, maybe mildly amused, but in a challenging way.

She was sizing him up, definitely.

"Alright, then, let's not get your skirt in a twist. I didn't mean to attack someone on this side of the fence, obviously, but I didn't know that's what you were. So. No harm done."

She laughed and shook it off, like a near murder was as simple to push aside as a fly buzzing by her ear. She hadn't hurt him, anyway so all was fine.

"Want to join me on a hunt, then?"
PostPosted: Mon Nov 26, 2012 9:52 am

Eyes narrowed in suspicion. Join her in a hunt? Was that a euphemism for 'Let me kick your a**'?

"Define hunt," he replied slowly. "Are we talking Most Dangerous Game type hunting here or what? Because I would really prefer to not be running for my life tonight."

He could deal with talking. Talking meant he wasn't having sharp things shoved into his body. And really, now that she wasn't chasing him, he could admire (to a point) her dedication to her job.

Painite looked him up and down, grinning.

"Well, I was considering it, but if you're not willing to play we can go find a different target. I'll let you walk, if running tires you out so much." She laughed, amused by the idea of chasing down a corrupt senshi just for the hell of it. But why waste good hunting time on someone already on the Chaos side?

She would much rather hunt down a White Moon soldier, and get some real pent up aggression out, and in style.

"Hey, let's find a normal senshi, huh? or gather some bait for a trap. They hate it when we pull star seeds, and they come flocking like seagulls to bread crumbs. Get the right voice screaming for help, and I'm sure something Order-ish will come running."

Now that sounded like her idea of a good night.

Frowning slightly (and still eyeing the spear warily), Haumea seemed to consider the offer before giving his head a slight shake. Much as he wanted to please his superiors and prove that he had been worth the effort of saving, he couldn't agree to this woman's proposal. He was still far too new and full of questions. And far too full of doubt that this war was completely un-escapeable.

Taking a step back, he gave his head another shake and spoke in as respectful a voice as he could manage given the circumstances.

"Sorry, but I think I will have to pass. Not that it doesn't sounds fun," he hesitated for a breath. It really didn't sound fun at all. "but it's late and I do have plans. And people who tend to panic and start calling everyone I know if I am late."

Okay, so that was a complete lie, but it would work for now. He wanted to feel a little more settled before he went off chasing random senshi just to pull their metaphorical wings off while they were still wriggling.

Saluting the woman, he turned and ran like hell, refusing to allow himself to look back, just in case he saw her chasing after. Only when he felt like it was safe to stop did he turn and not seeing a crazy, spear-wielding lady around, power down and head directly for his home.
