President Obama got re-elected.

Marijuana is legal in Washington and Colorado
Couple states in favor of same sex marriage
Apparently Cali finds that pornstars needing to use condoms important and placed it on the ballot and that won too
The Puerto Ricans had another plebiscite and about 60% or so people, correct me if i am wrong bout that %, voted in favor of Statehood. Ironically the pro statehood incumbent governor they had lost his seat in the election

And while everyone is griping over this crap people on the East Coast are still trying to pick their lives back up... like still now power, houses ruined, etc. I wish we'd really focus on our proerties.

I honestly think Obama and Romney sucked. Neither one of them are truly what the United States needs..

Now everyone has their panties in a wad and are trying to "become their own country."

JOSEPH, tell them Texas people to bend over and take it.

But seriously, when life gets ruff or whatever you just can't ask the government if you can become your own country.

Silly ignorant people.

I actually deactivated my Facebook because I'm friends with some of these people and I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally don't want to see people I like wanting to secede from the nation. It's just not smart. There are better things to do with those resources, allocating them to Superstorm relief like you suggested is one of them.

I actually get the people that want to buy guns because they're afraid of stricter laws coming in (not that I'd ever own a gun) but the secession talk is just ridiculous.

Obama won in my county so I'm sure the backlash is way worse elsewhere.

The beginning of November Oklahoma passed an open carry law. OHH lawd, wild west here we come. As if its not bad already, people think we still ride on horses...

I know. I can't believe New York is one of the states that's a part of it. I'm thinking.. you guys aren't stable or back on your feet. How do you think you're going to make it all your own?

Really, these people are over-reacting. No, Obama isn't that great — I'd have voted for Rocky Anderson had I not felt it would have been a wasted vote — but it's not the end of the ******** world that Obama won. "Barry" is not going to "take away your freedoms" or whatever, so calm yo tits, people. Last I checked, only 2% of the voting population of Texas signed that petition. Missouri, my state, also is petitioning. I don't think any of us need to worry, though. Methinks all these states are forgetting that it is law that the states cannot secede, even if Texas' constitution says otherwise. rofl

But fear not, sane residents of the petitioning states! Even if they were allowed to secede, it won't be immediate, and this will give y'all time to get your asses to another state. My family will probably move to Nebraska if that day comes.

Personally, I have some other opinions about it, but I'll save those.
