Walking with Aymet always made Shine feel a little more secure in the halls of Amityville. It wasn't that she necessarily feared for her own safety in the midst of the other students - it was more the fact that she kept getting horrendously lost while wandering around alone, and always seemed to end up at that awful house.
But the time she'd ended up in the awful house while in the company of someone else were, so far, zero. So far so good.
She tapped her claws on book spine after book spine as they passed a shelf in the library, stepping aside to allow two other students to get through. They were in such a hurry that they didn't even acknowledge the two of them, which seemed a little strange, considering one of them was literally a dragon. He was kind of hard to ignore.
Frowning, she craned her neck to watch them leave, catching something about "treasure" and "woods". Her claw caught a thread in one of the books, snagged it into a very obvious loop, and sent the book to the floor at her feet with a defeated plop. Oops.
"I...um...that was...well, weird..." she observed, poking at the book with her bare toe.

"Pirate treasure?" she asked, tilting her head. Shine considered this idea for a while, pairing it with her only idea of a pirate, and covered one of her eyes with an elongated palm. "Like...um...eye things?"
She didn't know why that was cooler than pumpkin seeds to Aymet, but she guessed it would make him look pretty cool. Pumpkin seeds were just normal money, but an eye thing...that would be unusual and kind of ferocious-looking, she supposed.
Catching that he was staring at the book, she bent to pick it up, holding it just below her chin so it would be easier for him to see.
When she decided he'd had enough time to look, she twisted her arm at an awkward angle to point at the picture. "Looks...hm, maybe, like, um...the weeping forest? Is...is there treasure there?"
