Luckily in my school; while small and redneck; people stopped staring and asking questions years ago! I think the worse I got was my english teacher saying I looked like an "amish girl on her first day out". That makes me rather happy... However, outside of school I get alot of stares... It doesn't bother me that much because I like the attention. sweatdrop
But I'm sure others arn't so lucky... Share experiences and we can console each other! 3nodding

Sadly this one's old high schoo doesn't allow cat ears and such in school anymore...
I'm pretty sure the ones i wore through 10th and 11th grade had something to do with it...
and through part of 9th grade me and my friends had kitty tails... that was a good one to do.
I'll cosplay and wear just about anything anywhere... in fact its odd for me to go to the other mall and not being the most different thing there... But you have have have to love it when the goth kids are staring in amazement.

I always expected weird looks...and have gotten my share of them. But more and more often people compliment me on my dresses and such... I went to an arts highschool, so there were enough strange people already there, and enough of my friends cosplayed for it to not really make that much of a difference. I usually just played dress up, and didn't really start wearing loli-chan clothing until last spring, because I had almost nothing.

I honestly don't get the chance to really dress up except for cons because I blow my money on stupid stuff like plushies and am crap at making my own clothes. I have been working on making my own dresses though. But oh my, I get stares just for my hair and what I do wear; I'm sure if I started dressing up even more, I'd get some odd questions.

Oh yes. I got in troubles often. surprised Nowadays I rarely dress in EGA style due to my parents complaints and school restrictions mainly, but this year I'll be hopefully leaving for college and there I'll be free to dress as I please. Plus it's pretty much an art school heart

I used to get so much stares back in Highschool because i was 1 of the 10 Asian people in my School. (Yes, i am from a all white people town) And now, in College... I go to a Ghetto A*s School and I get stares all the time. It's lovely in a way, but i don't know if it's a good thing. I wear my 6 in boots and my Cherry dress, and people just stare me down. I guess they figure i'm a crazy Art Major blaugh When i used to dress EGL in Japan, the stares were fun. But being stared at by People in school, i'm not too happy about. Because in japan, they are just like, "Oh man, it's one of "THEM" " you know? But over here... i don't even know what they are thinking.

The boys think "Why" and the girls...I mean seriously... I've had almost 15 girls ask me, "Where did you get those shoes?" "Where did you get that pedicoat?" "Are you supposed to be alice in wonderland?" All I can say to that is... "No, I am Malice in Wonderland." ^-^

I don't mind the compliments, or questions about where I got stuff, I'm glad to share all that, but I hate the feeling that people just don't know what to think. I'm just wearing cute clothes, for goodness sake. What saddens me is when I look through pattern catalogues, and a lot of the cute designs are only for dolls, or girls under the age of 9. People seem to want to look adult rather quickly. Some of the costume stuff is good, but it's often poorly proportioned.

I've had people ask me if I'm going to a costume party, and my dad tells me I look like the Wicked Witch of the West, because of my stiped socks. Mostly, though, I don't get many stares that I notice.
