Letting out a large sigh,Callie made her way through the cold and lonely dark forest. With no one in sight she was starting to get a little worried that she'd always been alone for days like this. She worried because during the winter was her worst time of the year, she'd freeze up and wouldn't really go much of anywhere. She would stay close to a semi warm place.Though here in these lands,Callie didn't know where the warm places were and where she could find a place to stay. Sighing a bit more as she had a feeling in her bones that snow would soon come and she would have to find a place to stay fast. Knowing no one here was probably the worst thing. No one to help her in her time of need.

Peska had wandered a bit from his family, but he wasn't to far from his den. Since he and his brother were older now they both held caves of their own. Their family traveled often, however they came back to the mountainous region when they were tired and wanted to seek out a place familiar. He was like his grandfather and father; large. However he was painted like his mother with the snout of his father and legfeathers to boot. He bore a mutation that had reigned in his family since the first generation; Monfulta.
He had gotten distracted again and his brother wasn't there to keep tabs on him. He felt the chill hit before it would begin to snow. Feeling it in his bones as well, however his fur had fluffed for the winter so he was heavily prepared for snow and the cold. It was a good past time for his grandfather with the extra tuff, and his father Mithra as well who bore a white snowy coat. When he felt the presence of another his head shot up, he had this thing where distractions just called out to him. There had not been any birds or butterflies to call to his mind as the snow had scared them away, into hibernation or like his brother's hawk, away to seek out shelter from mother nature's claws. It was odd when his bright eyes settled on a young mare decorated in feathers, some of her own and some dangling down the side of her head. He caught himself in a trance staring at her for a moment. But then he thought of snow, and its threat. It wasn't going to be a light snow, in which was the kind Peska and Gyr enjoyed prancing around like fools.. No it was going to be a blizzard, a storm even. He called out to her in an almost canine-esque throat sound. Like a 'chuff' almost.
"Are you lost?" He would say if she gave him attention. His ears would lift and his tail would tuck slightly to show he wasn't used to finding pretty mares. Aside from his mother... That is. Peska hadn't met many mares aside from his mother. So the shy quality was new to him. He considered it a weird thing for him to feel.. This shyness? He had never felt this way around new things before!

Callie was looking around with a worried look on her face, until she heard a males voice calling out.Her fluffy ears turned towards the voice as Callie's eyes looked over with them."Oh..Well I am.. Kind of lost."She giggles softly."I am more of a newbie around here."Callie looked at the stallions fluffy tail and his cuffs, then to his bright green eyes.He was natural colored but with a bit of a twist to him, like Soup's daughter Adelia.Very interesting she could say. Callie still didn't like the snow and she wanted to find somewhere to stay warm."Do...you happen to know any warm sheltered places..?"She questioned as the snow started to fall around them.Fluffing her wings as she tried to keep the snow off them, she was a bit agitated. If she had to deal with it then it was what she had to do,otherwise she would find anyway to get out of the terrible weather. Light snow was okay but the heavy thick snow was the worst.

As she steadied and began to look him over Peska went into 'distracted mode' and began staring at her wings. How Peska would love to have wings of his own. Tilting his head a bit he'd snap out of staring at her display of wings when she'd reply to him.
Blinking a little to recall what the conversation was about he chuckled at himself a little. And to co-operate with the giggling from the mare. "Anywhere warm? My family has a couple of caves not to far from here.." He'd look over his shoulder. His strength and well built body would show as his muscles flexed under his winter's coat. Then he'd look back to her. "You could come to mine, it's large enough to fit a fa..mily..." He said family very slowly, almost stuttering as he stared at her feathers in her hair. How interesting they moved when she spoke. Peska. Back on track. RIGHT. Yes.
"I'm.. Peska Scarecrow.. But you can call me Peska." He said trying to stop any awkwardness in the air. "My.. family roams around a lot and the caves are sort of a nomadic home to us.. My brother, father, mother and sometimes grandfather stay there during the storms and cold times..."

Callie fluffed her wings for the stallion, since he seemed to be so interested in them. She laughed a bit when he stumbled to remember the conversion. He was just a tiny bit cute,he was so fascinated with her wings and her feathers it was just so adorable. "If you wouldn't mind sharing it,I'd be blessed if you did."She smiled with quite a bit of happiness. Warmth, that's what she was aiming for."Is there a fire?"Asking with a soft voice as she watched the stallion keep gazing at her trinkets.
"Peska?"She giggled softly."I am Callie. It's a pleasure Peska." Her fluffy ears perked up when he started mentioning about his family, she wondered why he got a little flustered about saying family. "It must be cozy with all the fur around and family love." Callie nodded as she started moving a bit forward looking off into the distance.

"No there's no fire. But it keeps away from the heat and my father insulated it a little." He wouldn't put in the the effort to explain his distracted attitude. And the fact fire once burned him for getting to close. "There are no humans amoungst us though we are not afraid of them.." He cleared his throat. "But you are welcome to share yes.."
He hummed a little. Fur. "Well.. It is only my cave though my brother's is not to far off of mine. He helps me-ee......" His eyes watched her begin to look off into the distance and then he'd follow her eyes. Then he'd shake his head calmly "Helps me.. With my problem.." That sounded funny Peska.. "Oh dear. I mean. Helps me with my ability to be distracted. Ability.. Yes.. Well. Problem." He admitted and then cleared his throat. "Sometimes it can be very annoying. So.. Some say I gather."
Now you're rambling to the pretty Mare. Just get her warm. "Uhm. This way." He moved towards her and nosed her feathers. Just kindly, in a gentleman-like fashion. Moving towards the cave mouth that was a small dark circle in the distance.

While she was listening she was gazing at the trees and the white sky around them."Oh,that is quite alright." Wiggling her tail she noticed some snow flurrying around them."You're not?"She didn't ever remember seeing these humans, but she could've and just not remembered. If she did,Callie was probably taken really good care of."Thank you." Smiling she watched his eyes."With your problem?"She blinked a couple times and moved forwards just a little bit waiting for him to move along to their destination."I see nothing wrong with you.You are just you, there isn't anything annoying about it."Callie wiggled her tail once more."It's rather cute."Giggling softly she followed him as he nosed her feathers. Along side of him she nosed back at his neck and lightly tugged his short mane. If he was going to nose her feathers, she was going to nose him back.
