Subliminal Aftermath

If you don't like it, try again in four years. That's the beauty of democracy. Instead of complaining and being all doom and gloom, thank God that we can change or challenge our leaders at every level without being taken away by death squads. I know people from countries where that isn't true.

Government mandated insurance and if you don't comply with it you get fines $2600 I am already in the hole as is I cant afford this to be taken out of my check and i cant afford that fine.
There is gloom and I don't see how this can be a good thing.
He also cut the defense budget, aren't you in the air force?
That effects you as it does me, my dad builds your air crafts. Cut the defense budget in half like Obama did people get laid off and you get screwed over.
Wait Obama already proved that those in the military gets screwed over with the whole Libya fiasco.

I am in the Air Force, and that has made me realize that there is quite a lot of fat attached to the defense budget. Like many, many contractors . In my totally, 100% non official opinion, what the vast majority of them do could be replaced by good Airmen and Sergeants who are a lot cheaper.
Sure, I'll have to work harder as an almost sergeant (next year, fingers crossed), but I'll live.
Bottom line is that organizations like the Air Force don't need bloated budgets. We don't need end of the year "save the budget" scrambles.
Government forced healthcare isn't necessarily a bad thing. Government employees, like Airmen, get the entirety of our health care from a socialist system that is mandated to me by my leadership and by my government, and I did not make more than 20 grand last year. Its copays and deductibles and spouse fees are all based on a sliding scale. It's awesome. I highly recommend it to anyone, and I even have a second person (my wife) who I have to pay for. Obamacare needs to be tweaked, sure, and you can't force people who don't have the money to pay for it, but there is a workable solution there somewhere. You just need politicians to stop campaigning and look for it. After all, their healthcare system (and pensions) are suspiciously socialist in nature.
And as to Libya - Ambassadors and their staff are part of the State Department, not the Department of Defense.
Whether or not he had my vote it irrelevant. First, as a member of the armed services, I refuse to speak ill of my president, whether I disapprove or not. If he orders me to war, to war I go. If he cuts my budget and orders me to fly a 50 year old fleet (I'm not a pilot, but hey) then fly we do. I do think it is a wonderful thing that in four years you and I will have another chance to completely challenge the current establishment (or keep it) without being dragged into the streets and killed.
Second, as a Christian, I don't care who is president. What matters to me is who sits on God's throne. God sets up kings and president as he chooses. I don't pretend to understand why he does what he does. What I do know is that he is in control. No power of man will ever pluck me from his hand, for he is my shelter in every trying time. There does not exist any man in power who has that power outside the will of God. Scriptures tell us to submit to those whom God has placed in authority over us. If President Obama is over me, and he is, I will submit as much as I am able.
