Man, this was probably one of the dumbest ideas Axel had ever had. Meeting up with a chick he'd met online while playing video games? For all he knew she could of just been some dude with a feminine voice. He really didn't need a tranny surprise. Oh god don't let it be a tranny surprise. On the other hand she could of been a complete butter face that never saw the light of day.
s**t what had he gotten himself into.
Well, he'd ******** done it so he might as well go through with it. No point in backing out now and looking like a complete a**. Of course, if he didn't like her he'd probably have to make a new Live account with a new name just to shake her. He knew he was hot but stalkers no thanks. One too many psycho stalker girlfriends had totally turned him off on the idea that having a stalker was kind of hot.
Her gamer tag of r3tribution gave him slight pause. He really hoped she wasn't some psycho chick who lured guys through online games and then killed them cause she was still scorned from the one boyfriend.
Letting out a small sigh, Axel shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans as he waited outside the pizza joint he had invited her to. It was kind of busy, but it was the weekend so that was to be expected.

What was is that her mother always told her? Don't talk to strangers? Quinn didn't particularly regard anything her parents taught her anymore these days. When she risked her life on a nightly basis, somehow meeting some strange guy from a game didn't seem all that dangerous.
And if he was ugly? Well. All she had to do was excuse herself and slip through a mirror to get the hell out.
If only Axel knew that she was in fact a psycho chick who lured guys through online games mirrors and then killed drained them unconscious. It just had nothing to do with an ex-boyfriend. Most men would be better off never knowing that of her.
Leto slipped out of the cool surface of a mirror in an alleyway nearby the pizza joint they had agreed to meet at. Making sure she was alone, she quickly powered down. Smoothing out her clothes, Quinn made her way to the restaurant. She stopped a few feet away, took a deep breath, and approached the front door. She stood there for a moment, chewing her bottom lip as she glanced over the various faces of the people surrounding her. Fauxhawk, facial hair.
Finally her eyes locked with who she was pretty sure was Gr3yGh0st. Unless of course she was now really awkwardly staring intensely at some random guy that was most definitely not Axel because she had gotten stood up.

Cool grey eyes locked with those of....well of a pretty hot chick. Heeeyyyyyy sexy lady.
Were his boxers getting tighter? Gorgeous face, nice tits and sweet a**. Kind of short, but compared to Axel most people were pretty short so he really didn't mind. Plus he preferred short chicks to ones who were Amazonian tall. Made him feel more manly and less likely to be dragged away for mating purposes then killed like some male Preying Mantis. Ahhhh he hoped this was her. If not he wouldn't mind totally blowing off this meeting to hook up with this chick.
Slipping a hand out of his pocket, he gave her a two finger off the temple wave. "That you my little emasculating she-beast?" If it wasn't her he would probably end up getting smacked. But if it was, well, they had done enough s**t talking back and forth in the game. So he was pretty sure if she did it back it was totally her.

"Emasculating she-beast? I've been called worse," she said with a grin and a heavy British accent. "How unfortunate for you, being emasculated by a tiny, helpless girl like myself." She stuck her bottom lip out in an over-exaggerated pout. "I can't believe a big, handsome guy like you sucks so bad at video games."
Her head tilted to the side slightly, an eyebrow quirked. Her eyes scanned him up and down (she was almost worse about checking people out than most guys were); well ******** was he ever tall. Then again, compared to everyone Quinn has ever ******** met in Destiny City, she was short.
Closing the few feet between the two of them. "Unless you just like to talk s**t to random strangers, I'd assume you're the lucky gentleman that's on a date with me tonight?"
Quinn wasn't so good at that whole being a polite, well-spoken, girly-girl thing. "I'm Quinn," she added with a smirk.

"Ah well I figured I would be polite." He said with a grin. Ahhh that accent, even sexier in real life. And the bottom lip pout, it made you almost want to reach out and poke it. Or nibble on the lip. Either way. "Hey now, I was just going easy on you." Giving a casual shrug. "Its not every day some sexy sounding Brit girl shows up. But I'm glad to see the voice matches the body."
Once she closed the distance he could really assess just how short she was up close. Having already had checked her out, but that didn't mean he couldn't do so once more. At least with the close proximity he could appreciate it more. He had to hold back sucking in a breath.
"I'll talk s**t to random strangers all day, little darlin. And your assumption is right. On both parts." Axel honestly didn't care if she was a girly-girl and polite or not. He'd always found the more interesting ones to have a good mouth on them anyway. But he really wasn't all that particular. They could have air for brains but if they were a good lay s**t why not. He could suffer them for at least a little while. Axel hadn't found a girl worth keeping around or making any commitment to anyway. Not that he was particularly out there looking.
Commitment. That was a pricey thing to deal with. Emotionally and financially.
Turning towards the door, he opened it and held it for her to go through first. A little bell rang as the sound of business going on inside filtered out through the door way. He could at least be somewhat of a gentleman in some aspects. "Axel."

If Axel poked her lip, she'd probably have bit his finger. And if he bit it, she probably would have melt into a puddle of goo. But that was neither here nor there.
"Sure, going easy on me." She rolled her deep red eyes. "I can't count how many times I've heard that one before." She went on her tip-toes and leaned in to whisper, "It's alright, sugar, your secret's safe with me."
Quinn dropped back down onto her heels and flashed a smile at him. She desperately hoped that the smiles and the banter was enough to cover the fact that she was actually quite nervous. The last boy she had gone on a date with was Veer, and well... He just up and disappeared (after she did the same thing). And if she was being honest with herself, Axel was a ******** stud and that made her nerves even worse.
Dating was not her forte. Fighting crime? Sure. She could do that day and night with her eyes closed and hands tied behind her back. But dating? That was a whole other ball game for Quinn.
At least he's pretty to look at, she thought to herself as she slipped past him and into the restaurant.

If biting was her thing Axel would probably oblige. He wasn't into that whole sadomasochism thing but whatever floated your boat.
Her breath on his ear made the back of his head tingle slightly. He shot her a cheeky grin. "Good, I don't need that getting out. It'll ruin my image. Then I'd have to totally take on a different gamer name and start all over."
If Quinn was nervous he didn't really pick up on it. Of course, some days he had to remind himself that not everyone was as comfortable in these kind of situations as he was. Meeting people you barely even knew, all the judging and posturing. Just stay cool. Keep chill and play by the cuff.
Following close behind her, he placed a hand on the small of her back. Guiding her further inside towards a section that had booths all along the walls. The music and voices of other places was rather loud now that he thought about it once inside. But if they moved towards the corner they should have to scream to hear each other. "Lets grab a seat at that booth. Someone will come by once they see us sitting there."

The hand on the small of her back made her cheeks flush a light shade of pink. She took a deep breath, and mentally screamed at her nerves to go the ******** away. She also had to mentally remind herself that one food after the other is how you walk and not trip over your own feet, which was pretty notorious Kathryn behavior back in the day.
Quinn slipped into the booth that Axel lead her to, sitting across the tablet from him. "Is this place any good? I haven't been here before. I'm usually a stay at home and order in while I sit on my lazy butt and play WoW kinda girl. I actually really haven't been to most places in Destiny City, since I moved here. From England, that's where I'm from, of course. Hence the accent." Okay, so Quinn talked a lot. And fast.
"Have you lived in DC your whole life? Ever played WoW or are you just a shoot-em-up type?" Apparently Quinn had a thousand questions and she was going to ask them all at once.
Social etiquette? What's that?

After he slipped into the other side of the booth, Axel removed his hoodie. It was pretty warm in here and really didn't feel like roasting. Sweating during a date wasn't all that becoming. That was usually left for later, if things lead to that anyhow.
He eyeballed one of the waitresses from across the room, mostly trying to get her attention if she'd just look in their general direction. Waiting too long for them to come by and take their order really grated on his nerves. But once the questions started coming quick and fast from Quinn's mouth his attention was quickly back to her.
Leaning his arms on the table he laughed. "Slow down girly. We haven't even been here ten minutes. Unless you're just wanting to speed this date along so we end up back at one of our places or something. Then I'm cool with just getting some pizza to go. That's all you had to say." Again he chuckled, low in his throat this time, running his fingers through dark brown hair before trying to organize the answers to her questions in his mind.
"Its pretty good as far as pizza joints go. Really more of a little mom and pop place than anything main stream like Pizza Hut or Dominos. Not the exploring type hm? Well we'll have to fix that." There were a lot of places to go in Destiny City if you just took the time to do some research. It was amazing what little some people knew was actually here when they had lived here all their lives.
"Born and raised yea. I've played a bit of WoW yea, though not enough as some of my buddies would like to say I guess. I'm not all about just shoot-em-ups. I need some substance to a game. But some days you just feel like blowing off people's heads and screw story line." He quirked an eyebrow curiously. "Anything else? I think you have a few seconds for a couple more questions before they come askin' for drinks."

Her cheeks went from light pink to crimson almost immediately at the mention of going home with him. "Uh... Er... No. No, that's not what I meant. Or uh, that's not how I meant to come across. I talk fast when I'm nervous. Not that you make me nervous. I don't get nervous talking to guys that I can own in video games, that'd be ridiculous. Or... Something. I don't even know."
She stopped talking and blinked, staring at him for a moment. "Sorry," she grinned shyly.
Maybe she needed a little bit of good old fashioned exploring fun. Truthfully, she probably needed any kind of fun. When the waitress finally came along, Quinn ordered herself a coke finally shut her ******** mouth because holy s**t she talked too much.

A wide grin spread his lips, a charming flash of white teeth. Ok ok, he'd give her a break now. Obviously he was completely throwing her off. "Relaaax, darlin' before you pass out. I'm just yankin' your chain." He ordered a coke for himself as well.
It was interesting how different people acted when they were brought out from behind the microphone. For all the confident s**t talking Quinn sure seemed to stumble a bit when face to face.
Reaching over, he brushed a strand of hair off of her forehead before leaning back into the cushioned seat of the booth. "If you're not up for pizza they got some pretty spicy hot wings here too. And some pasta dishes if that doesn't interest you."
Watching her for a couple of seconds, studying her really. "So, what does Quinn do when she's not beating up on sweet innocent guys like me in video games?"

Quinn reserved all of her confidence and s**t talking for video games, and turning into a badass ******** to kill people in real life. So when she was face to face with another civilian human being? She turned into a fast-talking, blushing, idiot. At least with boys. Boys were a strange bunch that she didn't quite understand.
And then he brushed hair from her face. Which... No one had ever done before, ever. Wat.
Somehow she couldn't help but smile at him, even though she was pretty sure that he was just doing cute things like that to get in her pants.
"Are you kidding?" She laughed. "Pizza is only my favorite food in the entire world. There probably isn't a better place for you to have taken me if impressing me is your goal tonight."
She pulled her hoodie off and relaxed into the cushy seat of the booth in her ripped jeans and black tank-top, her hair falling over her shoulders. "When I'm not beating on "innocent" guys like you?" She used air-quotes for the word innocent. "Y'can't fool me, darlin'. I don't think there's anything innocent about you."
She purposefully changed the subject, to avoid telling him about her secret life. She really didn't do anything besides that these days.

Well, at least hopefully the little pep talk seemed to be helping. She'd finally relaxed enough to take her hoodie off. Which he couldn't help sneak a quick glance at her unhoodied body.
Damn. He sucked it a silent breath this time.
He rubbed at his chin with his hand. "Nah. I think I can do better than just impressing." A girl after his own heart. Axel generally lived on pizza most of the time. He had the delivery boys on speed dial. So it was win win for him.
"Oh? And just what makes you think that?" It wasn't lost on him that she'd changed the subject. Interesting but not something he lingered on.

Pizza and beer was pretty much Quinn's favorite combo in the entire world. Add video games into that equation and she'd be set for life.
"You think so?" She grinned at him, "I guess we'll see about that." She winked.
Finally, Quinn was starting to loosen up a little bit. She leaned forward in her seat and put her eblows on teh table, her chin in her hands. Her eyes narrowed to slits, peering at him. "Just a gut feeling. What with the fauxhawk and the scruff and the tall, dark and handsome gamer dude thing you got goin' on." She shrugged. "I'm rarely wrong about people." She had a broad, s**t-eating grin on her face.

"Challenge accepted then."
Tossing one arm up on the back of the booth seat he leaned back more. "Hey now....nah you're probably right." Letting his eyes slip half way open as he gave her a calm look. "So you think you've got me pretty much figured out then eh? What else does your gut tell ya?" Lets see how good she really was.
The waitress finally brought their drinks. "What kind of pizza would you like?"
