Irrisé Grâce

User Image

Operated and founded by Sabine Du Croix, Irrisé Grâce is among the most prestigious fashion companies world wide. Located in Central Park West, the company is housed in an antique brownstone. The first floor is the welcome area, with a parlor, small coffee shop, and open area for discussion. The second consists of archives, wardrobe, and the staff lounge. Third floor carries the design area, staff offices, and a balcony for staff use. Fourth is closed off to the public. Sabine Du Croix's office lies on that floor with its own design studio, balcony, and parlor.

Outside fall weather fever had taken over New York City. People meandered about, seeking out the last days of warmth before winter struck. As always Irrisé Grâce found itself hosting debutants, would be stars, and the occasional actor waiting for their turn to be seen by the owner of the company and have their fashion dreams come true. Alas, they would have to wait another day.

Upstairs Sabine Du Croix was facing a dilemma. The mannequin before her was bound in silk and lace, a mixture that did not seem to be working for her. Not today. Or perhaps it was the color? The texture seemed alright...

Sighing, Sabine ran a hand through her hair, the golden curtain falling to rest on her shoulders. Today was the first in awhile where she seemed unable to focus on work. For whatever reason design was not clicking, and that in and of itself annoyed her. "Perhaps less blue..." she muttered, glowering at the stacks of fabric beside her. This was turning into a long day.

You wait for a silence,
I wait for a word
Lie next to your frame, girl unobserved
You change your position and you are changing me
Casting these shadows where they shouldn't be

Why don't you be the artist
And make me out of clay
Why don't you be the writer
And decide the words I say
'Cause I'd rather pretend I'll still be there at the end
Only it's too hard to ask
Won't you try to help me

Outside the doors to the Irrisé Grâce studio, the wheels of a very sleek and well-kept limousine came to a halt; the temperate autumn winds danced along the sidewalks before the single figure who let himself from the vehicle. Long hair of silver flowed behind his pale skinned head in a similar manner to the way his black, onyx-lined coat did behind the whole of his muscular and toned physique. His piercing yellow eyes kept bright as he looked to the building before him, and a contented smile drew across his pale lips as the he opened the door.

The silver longsword at his hip bounced slightly as he entered the studio, and only kept at it as he ascended the steps for the owner's office. The owner, as it were, just so happened to be none other than his paramour: Sabine Du Croix. Setting a hand on the nob to her office, Miro Seldivek, the current owner of the Center for Paranormal Research and Development, as well as the commander-in-chief of the Revenant, entered the office; just in time to hear Sabine speaking her dilemma.

"Perhaps more white..." Miro mused, stepping into the room with nearly silent steps. "But, unfortunately, design was never something I've studied too intensely during my time on this Earth..." He smiled a small, honest smile as he approached the woman and her mannequin, placing a hand inquisitively on his chiseled chin in thought. "Whatever you decide will be more than beautiful, dear," Miro offered a hand to assist Sabine from her seat. "In a similar manner to how your own beauty could never be diminished..."

Sabine actually sensed Miro before he spoke. He had a distinct scent of roses and parchment, alongside a very sure way of walking. She turned and cocked a brow at him. White, of course, would throw off the balance of the dress.

Still, she couldn't keep a smile from her face as he offered her his hand. Rising gracefully, she took it and smiled up at the vampyre gentleman who had stolen her heart. "As always dear, your words charm me into submission. Though I refuse to put more white on the gown" Sabine quipped, pressing a kiss to Miro's cheek. "What brings you here today? Aside from my own undiminished beauty?" Already the tension was easing slightly. Perhaps Sabine really had just needed a break.

Finally, Miro's smile widened at the contact of his flame's warm lips to his cheek. He took hold of her other hand, taking a step back into the room further, and breaking into an impromptu and decidedly music-less dance. It was a slow, romantic pace, and it was easy enough for the steps to fall in one after the other. After a few moments of a calm, contented silence, and the continuation of his smile, Miro gave Sabine a dip, only to pull her back up with even more grace than before.

"I'm simply... getting a feeling. A foreboding, would be the more appropriate word..." He seemed to trail off, twirling her around, only to marvel at the brilliance of her own glorious silver locks. "I can't help the inclination," Miro continued, his smile fading just slightly. "That right now we're standing on the precipice of a great change. It's not fear... not yet. But, I merely want to be ready for it. Part of that--" Suddenly he had his arms wrapped around Sabine's body; her back touching his chest, and her head resting slightly atop her shoulder. "--Is enjoying whatever time I can with the most breathtaking woman on this, or any other, plane."

Below his romancing speech, Miro was truly concerned. Tensions, though behind the scenes, so to speak, were rising, and no matter what he did, or directed others to do, nothing seemed to be stopping it. As Kimberly had said to him a few days prior:
"One way or another, the deification's hitting the oscillation."

Smiling softly, Sabine allowed herself to be guided about by Miro. She did so love these moments where time seemed to slip away into another age. From the dip she came up, eyes twinkling. Elegantly turning into his twirl, she listened to his words.

A pause came, the quiet calm of the dance coming to an end. Ah, so that was it. Change was indeed on the horizon. They had spoken of it before. Both Miro and Sabine acknowledged the course on which they now stood.

Sighing, Sabine rested her head against his shoulder. Her eyes had faded into a reminiscent silvery-gray. For a moment her smile returned. As always, Miro was a charmer even in spite of some great doom and gloom 'precipice.' "Miro dear," she turned in his arms, lightly resting a hand against his cheek, eyes meeting his. It seemed for a moment she was going to say something of importance. Perhaps she was, but at the last second she chose to divert to a less pessimistic view. After all, she looked at the world half empty far too often. "you really are marvelous." She shook her head, a slightly tired edge to her smile. He could make something as drastic as what could be the end of the world end with a compliment.

As if to prove the point that time was fleeting, Sabine's cell phone sounded with a Mozart concerto filling the office. The Alpha sighed and slid the device from her pocket. Glancing at the LED screen, the sudden need to be out of the office became present. "I think we should return to the CPRD."

Malia would need attended to, poor Jax was likely exhausted. But Sabine could not take the child to her work, far too many questions would be asked. And her accompanying Miro had been out of the question. Therefore, Jax had been called. But there was no need to make her long day into an even longer night.
