It's Thursday. This is when sales are happening at supermarkets, game shops, toy shops, and local stores inside the city of Downside. Meat, fruits, vegetables, books, fabric, you name it and it's there.

Lucille quietly closes the door behind her as she walked out of the house ready to stroll through the forest into the city. She wore a long orange scarf this time instead of a light blue jacket. With her, she was holding onto a light yellow messenger bag so she could put all her items into it after a long day of shopping. "Maybe I should've brought a backpack instead" she said. Looking beside her she could see pidgeys building a nest while the pidgeottos are out looking for food. A few ratatas were also found running around eating berries. She would usually ask her little sister to come along, but she was still sleeping, so today she's going out on her own.

The afternoon sun shone on her long lush hair, the rays of sunlight giving off warmth, making her happily twitch her ears. She starts to walk down the forest path into the city...

Walking down the sidewalk of Pine Street, she noticed that the crowd of shoppers had gotten bigger and shops were getting more packed with people. "Seems like everyone wants to save and go to the sales like me" she snickered. She did not mind that people are giving her funny frowns as she passes by them. Wearing only a scarf, it was not the "proper" attire to wear on a chilly Fall afternoon after all. The cold did not affect Lucille. She stopped at the intersection. The smell of different types of food flavours started to slowly creep into the air from street vendors trying to make a living. Maybe I'll buy a special chili hotdog on my way back, she thought while looking at the stand across the street. At that moment, she felt a push from behind. Turning around, she could see a very pretty girl staring right at her, scratching her firey red hair and apologizing in a slight accent. There's no point to yell "Watch it!" now with her apologizing like that. Analyzing her from head to toe, at the clothes she's wearing, and at the little smear of dirt on her face, Lucille could tell that this girl definitely was not from the city. "Mirabel? You didn't have to apologize. I got in your way by staring at that food stand over there" she explained, pointing across the street. "I'm Lucille by the way. Where are you heading to?" she asks with a smile. And the crossing signal turned green.
