Perhaps this is pointless, considering this place is clearly deceased but in the hopes that someone is still haunting the place I thought I'd make a thread as I've recently had GS in my mind because of a thread in Gaming Discussion.

Anywho, on to the point; someone in said thread said that he had gotten to the end in two days but despite having done everything in the game, was forced to grind for and entire month in order to beat the Fusion Dragon in GS, and as a result the game is broken and he refused to play the others because of this.

I, naturally, pointed out that he probably shouldn't not have rushed through it in two days, to which he got rather annoyed and accused me of assuming things.

So:

Is Golden Sun broken?

Did you have to grind to beat it?

When the frak is GS4 coming out?

Am I talking to myself?

Discuss!

I hope that 13 days of silence isn't too late! I've been off gaia for over a year and I was hoping that this guild was still active :/

As for my own personal experiences, I usually put off the side quests until right before endgame. I come to find out that I am usually either on par or slightly under the end bosses' level. I like to take my time and go through each playthrough slowly. I think that the world of Weyard is far too immense to rush through in two days.
(I do deny that right to Dark Dawn. It ended too quickly, in my opinion)

So yeah, GS4...

I usually just play all the missions chronologically. I end up being on level 33 by the end of the first one. On the second one I usually level grind in the Sea of Time Isle before facing the Star Magician. In the third one I just go along at my own pace because it wasn't hard at all. :/

GS4 should come out soon though. Hopefully not as dumbed down and with less dialogue.

Fusion Dragon isn't hard o.o I didn't even have to grind when I got to the end of the game. Sure, it was a bit of a pain, but not as hard as that one boss that's supposedly the hardest in the game...I forget it's name. For GS4, think about it...it took Camelot oh how many years....5, 6 years to finally release a sequel to GS2. If they don't make a sequel then they just left GS3 on a major cliffhanger.......hopefully in GS4, we'll see Jenna, Felix, Sheba, Ivan, Mia and Piers. The first game, I beat it at like...45 I believe. The second game, I had no choice but to grind for Star Magician and the other hidden, harder bosses so I beat that game at like 60. The third...wasn't any challenge. I beat the game at 50 but felt the need to complete everything so I did a new game, got ever Djinn and summon and got everyone to max level by grinding those soldiers in the final area

Dead Beard?

I don't remember having to grind to beat any of the bosses. Obviously if you're way to low a level you get stuffed no matter what but I think is GS its more about what tactics you use, in the boss fights at least.

I didn't have to go through too much trouble to beat any of the GS games, especially for the bosses. I just kept my healers alive and beat 'em back. With GS4, I doubt it'll come out. DD didn't sell very well, as far as I know. Even with the petition and all its signatures, nothing may come out of it. If they DO decide to make GS4, they'd better get it right with the storyline. It wasn't bad, and I enjoyed the gameplay, but it could have been better.

Anyway, it's been a long time since I've visited the Gaia Online GS community. I'm currently over at Golden Sun Adept's Refuge, a little bit of ToK, and whatnot. Sorry if it feels like I'm barging in. sweatdrop I felt like checking in on things like my old Neopets and this Gaia Online account.

I may look into that. biggrin What do you talk about there. I'd have thought we'd pretty much exhausted everything and anything there is to discuss about Golden Sun.

Well, most of it isn't really GS discussion. It's community. There's roleplays and whatnot (like the huge one being formed at GSAR, although it's much more than that), but the people know each other well enough to keep the place going for years.
