Aedh could feel her skin twitching beneath her fur, her muscles alive with little jolts of electricity as she shifted around. There hadn't been much to use her energy on these past few days. No dangers had disturbed her, no large prey had caught her eye. Her fervor was wasted on rabbits and ghosts. It was too much for her to handle. She needed to run, to fight, to take down some extraordinary foe in a manner which would lead to her name being known all across the savannah. But the roots of stories were stories as well. There were no great foes, no harrowing evils, only the everyday squabbles of kin and kind. And even those she had none. And so instead she waited and waited, her body growing taut with each noise only to relax in disappointment when no beast showed itself. Perhaps she needed kin.
