Darkness had settled upon the land. Nights were coming earlier and the shadows were growing longer as the days passed. It was the signs of the changing years the cold winds had begun and hints of on coming snow were foretold. The Autumn was giving way to the Winter and it's bitter death. For being a beautiful time in the year it was truly a grave and dangerous time. This though was the in between stage where the nights were long and cold but snow had yet to settle upon the land.
With the changing of the seasons it was not surprising that Angeetia found herself wandering through the shadows at night. Her family had grown once more but in that growing she'd actually seen them all grow up one by one and had then seen them slip away from her. It wasn't easy to see her precious little ones leave her and drift away. They had been her sustainability to the real world without them she was going back to her old ways. She hadn't seen Terrance much as of late he was busy in the daylight hours and that just wasn't as appealing as it had once been.
Peace overcame the shadow mare as she wandered through the dark lands. The Moon was barely a sliver in the sky shining so little light it was near useless to the non-nocturnal creatures. She was right at home though. Her shadows curled off her body purring in approval glad to have the darkness at hand. Tonight was the first night in a long while she'd journeyed so far from where her family had temporarily made home.

Pnevyma Kolokytha blinked, taking in the slow but soon to be dramatic change of the seasons. Once again, that would mean the time that he would have to guard his pumpkins for the next Halloween. Just yesterday, he found two pumpkins that were missing, probably from the birds that rested in the trees above his head.
Foolish creatures. he thought. If they were so hungry, why not just ask me? Then again, he knew why.
Something was pulling him away from his patch today though, like if he was able to feel an odd presence nearby. Was it possibly the lone wolf that he saw everyday, but fled every time he called for it? There was no wolf around here near winter though, so he found that strange. On forth he went, following his senses out of the patch to wander forth into the strange lands that lay in front of him.

Angeetia's hooves fell ever silently never disturbing the land as she walked. The land at this time had a peaceful serene feel to it. She closed her eyes taking in the complete black on the night once more at peace. She was sure she'd one day wind up back with Terrance, He gave her the most joy she had ever found in their three children
Something stirred the air and her eyes shot open. She crept further into shadow sure to hide herself. Her love had given her a necklace so at night even when it was at its darkest he could find her. Her glowing tiki's eyes were no trouble this night the darkness fed her shadows and they curled perfectly over the necklace hiding it from view. She would watch and wait till she figured what had disturbed the air in the land around her.

Continuing onto the unknown path that lay in front of him, all he was able to think about was that lone wolf. So elegant, but hasn't been around recently because he thought that it was maybe pregnant or something happened to it. His muzzle was starting to grow colder than usual, yup. Maybe it was just the fact that winter was approaching. Which then brought him back to the thought of his pumpkins, revolving back to why he was straying away from home. To seek what seemed to be pulling his attention into the darkness.
Though he was used to the shadows and darkness, he still felt oddly alone here without the familiarity of the usual sights that he saw. No more blooming fruit, harvests, annoying crows. It was now just him and the starting to die off trees. Not really knowing where he was headed towards, he closed his eyes while walking, just trying to enjoy the odd stroll, while crackling the fallen leaves with the sharp edges of his hooves. Once he reached a certain spot, he stopped to look around, thankful that he had an eerie misty glow, thinking that he spotted something, but then again, the darkness loved to play tricks on the lonesome.

There was a faint green glow that came toward her location it was interesting to say the very least. It hung lower to the ground but not too low. It was too concentrated to be a low fog rolling in either. Not that the fog ever had a glow to it but it was a misty wispy look like a fog rolling in.
She shifted trying to get a better view of the odd thing when she heard a crackling of leaves. Then it seemed to look at her and she realized that it was a small stallion. Dark in color but oozing the green mist. It was like her shadows but very different because her shadows welcomed the dark where his invaded the darkness with light. It wasn't something she was fond of to say the very least but she would not begrudge the creature for the way his body was. It wasn't too bright at least.
His twisted mouth and glowing eyes took her interest though. It reminded her of the glowing jack-o-lanterns that lite up the two-legger camps this time of year. Only those were typically glowing orange. "Why do you glow in the night?" Her voice had a sing song lilt to it that made it seem comforting and friendly.

His heart stopped pounding. There was a large stranger in front of him, having a misty shadowy feeling from her. Even the glowing blue on her necklace made him have a chill run down his back. Maybe he should just return home, or...
His mind changed once he her her kind voice, it was odd, like how something that would look demented in a way would carry such beauty. In his mind, he wondered if it was possible if she was ever possessed, but he hoped not. With his eyes staring at even how she looked faded near her hooves and fetlocks, he wanted to answer to her with confidence.
"To guide the creatures to the light." he replied, referring to all the wild creatures he was able to summon to his patch, but would always flee once they found out what the light actually was. He felt like this would be a question for an answer trade off. "Why are you all alone tonight?"

The shadows danced and curled as if excited by the glowing lights. She shifted on her feet. Such an odd job for on so small. 'We likesssss himssss' A balance between light and dark, more dark than light. Of course the shadows would like them. She shook her head and sighed. Since she had become this way she had had the shadows, their thoughts one with hers. They had slipped away with her second breeding but to her dismay they were returning. Terrance had brought light to her life and she would always remember that with the necklace he had gifted her. A soft pang of longing briefly visited her before fleeing away. Thoughts of what had been reminded her of her children. Her three babies were grown and had gone off on their own. each tainted by her shadows. Her precious Gideon had an alternate side that seemed to mimic her shadows. Her Dean had a dark side inside, she had never seen it bloom but her shadows purred at the thoughts. Shirlyn seemed to b the least affected by her shadows, though she wasn't untouched.
She frowned at the turn her thoughts had taken. Thoughts of her family spliting up. Why had this occurred? Oh yes the smaller one's question. She wasn't too much bigger than the smaller one but she still felt like she was greater in size none the less. Right! His question "I merely found myself wandering. I am one with the night stalking silently till dawn arises." Her sing song voice seemed to peek up on the last sentence. A comment to distract herself. Her family was a sore spot for her.

He stood patiently, waiting for the mare to respond to him. By the way that she was silenced, he felt a bit queer staring as she was deep in thought, as if she was not even here. It looked like she was in another world. He'd even caught her frown, a frown? She did look in a miserable state after all. How long was she even here in isolation? He had known prior to today that the darkness was able to sadden some, but then some would just be in the darkness to run away from their troubles.
Maybe just like this mare. "Well, it seems to me that we both have something important to do here, huh? May you tell me more about yourself? Do you not even see the sunlight at all?"

Angeetia shifted on her feet as she glanced over the smaller stallion. Something about her, her thoughts had been lingering on her family as they often did. ”I once had a family. I had three daughters and two sons. They were all amazing but they are all gone now.” They had all left her to go about their own lives. She dared not think on the real reason she lost two of her daughters. She had blocked out that part of her life out. It was a time pain and darkness. The shadows had consumed her and things had become dark till she had tangled with Terrance. He had been her light till she had three little beacons that outshined her Terrance. She was sure she would see him again but till she came across him she would wander.
She tilted her head looking up at the sky.“The night is young should we wander while we talk?”She did much prefer the movement because it kept the shadows at bay they wouldn’t sneak into her mind as often so long as she moved about. Day light, she knew about the day light. ”I use to live day by day in the day light. My children loved to play and their father was a day dweller.”xKOVAKtheWOLFx I just noticed my Quotations were messed up... lol darn word xD

Pnevyma flicked his ears back and forth, trying to detect any emotion hidden by the mare. He had thought that she lost all of her family, by a plague, or death. Maybe that was why she was living among the shadows, growing her own shadows. His misty eyes closed for a while while taking all that was said. There was nothing more painful than losing the ones that you loved, after all. Able to hear the wolf in the distance, he knew the dangers of it possibly being a wolf skinwalker. It was best to keep his company alive without transforming to one of their kind he concluded. "Yes, we should head away from here." Not that he was was worried about the chance that she was unable to fend for herself, but that he knew some skinwalkers to be cunning. What he feared was if this 'Terrance' of hers was one of them. "My parents too.. were once day dwellers. Oh, you may lead the way." He then joked, Or possibly try to wander yourself back into the light?"Strait Jacket Girl ahh. thanks for reminding me to post!<3

The call of the wolf in the night. At one time she welcomed such company into her life. Her kitty... There was a moment in which the shadows grew about her taking her back. She grew dreadfully sad momentarily before she shook her head. the shadows thinned back out and she turned to the small stallion. She liked him, at one time she would have taken him as a pet but not anymore. She could see where a slight friendship could grow but no ownership.
She smiled softly at his joke. It was an odd feeling. For as happy as her family had made her she had rarely smiled because it was something unusual for her. Her precious Gideon liked when she smiled though so she tried to do it more often. She started with a soft hoof falls one in front of the other. "Why is it that you are a night dweller unlike that of your parents?"

Did she just smile? He could have sworn she did. It took the Usdia to notice that he was constantly just staring around the mare's neck. Why though? Maybe that would be talked about later, but still, it seemed to enchant his little spirit. Now lifting his head up once more, he did in fact catch the slightest smile on her. The best way to spread Halloween cheer was to be tricked, but to mainly be treated, and he felt like this was the moment.
Slowly following her footsteps, thankful that they were rather light instead of making much noise, the stallion took a moment to develop a response he hoped would be understood. "My parents.. they have not really appreciated my existence. For some years before, they called on the powers of the spirits to have a foal, since they have not and were at a rather due age." He rose his voice a bit, "They did not think that their snow-white beings would ever produce a creature like I am today." Breaking off into silence, he quickened his pace, reaching the front hooves of the mare he was travelling with, attempting to signal a stop.
"They do not yet know that I am still alive, living around the forest they fear, calling the pumpkin patch my home."
