FALL CITY

User Image

This is an neighboring city on the other side of the mountain ....it is completely surrounded on all sides by mountains, and thus is only accessible three ways. One, is by flying over the mountain, and the second is by train that cuts through the mountain, and the final is to dock by sea.

This is the only place with a port that goes to the dark areas that have been categories as restricted by all officials.

Attractions to find in Fall City:

Pokemon Center
Pokemon Stadium
Pokecircus
Pokespring
Pokedocks

It would seem to take forever as they traveled through tunnels that sometimes gave them splashes of light in the darkness. Though the trip had started off with them surrounded in light ....as the original area showed the touch of man, and the sight of things like pokemon and the walls ...soon it would only be darkness that could be seen outside of the train.

Miles and miles of darkness, until finally the screeching of the train wheels and a sudden lurch would bring their trip to an end. But, if the passages though they had reached their final destination they would find themselves wrong ...as something blocked the tunnel and forced the train to stop.

"Sorry, we have to inform you that we are having technical difficulty. Any trainers that would like to help us clear the tracks will be much appreciated."

The voice would tell them as Professor Barney whom had fallen asleep in one of the seats would start to snore with the Newspaper over his face.

He wouldn't be joining them for this one.

Raven would sigh as he stood there, briefly considering the option of setting their Professor on fire to rouse him. Then again, why would he want to do that? The man was being quiet...and in hindsight that was a rather desirable outcome.

Shaking his head briskly, the child would venture away from his companions, seeking out the nearest train employee he could locate.

Brushing aside his cloak and laying one hand to rest upon his pokeballs, Raven would look up at the person, man or woman he had no time to identify "Excuse me, I'd like to aid in the issue currently keeping this train stationary" He stated quite politely.

Stay here... adventure... stay here... adventure. Screw it. Tsuki stood, only now feeling his legs ache slightly from sitting the entire way. Not fun. Regardless, it was best that he try to help as well. In any case it was his last chance to train before Barney set them on their actual mission.

Walking out, with Infinem behind him, Tsuki would ask "I'd like to help as well. Do you know anything that might be causing the problem?" If not her, an engineer might. Better to go into a area with some prior knowledge than without. For example, when he went to Beginner's Island without being told to get an old amber. Yeah, not fun.

The man that Raven had walked up to was one of the train attendances ....as he would smile at Raven.

"Thank you for ..."

He never got a chance to finish his statement as Tsuki would come to talk to him as well, and a bigger smile would grace his face.

"Thank you as well. The problem outside seems to be about four folds ...we have a bunch of pokemon on the tracks. It is the reason for the train to stop or at least, the biggest one of the bunch, a Snorlax is the reason for the stop."

"The other pokemon around her ...are keeping us from moving the pokemon away. So if, you can help clear the way to her ....we shall get the Snorlax up and moving."

The man would tell him as it would seem that this wasn't the first time that such an incident had happen. Some pokemon managed to find their ways underground from other cavern and tunnels that connected to this area all the time as the man would wait to see if they agreed to the job at hand.

Plenty of Pokemon to see and a rare (and possibly strong) one waiting for them? It sounded like a prime opportunity to get out on stretch his legs. Besides the similarity to caves, Tsuki had already decided what to do and it certainly didn't include declining to help.

Besides, maybe doing this would smooth down all the drama going around. But he knew well enough even suggesting teamwork with Raven, like at Iron Island, would probably end with being ignored. So he wouldn't do so. "I'll do my best." he said, waiting for the man to tell them were to go. There were multiple exits so it was best not to get ahead of himself.

Raven would give a curt nod, neither looking at Tsuki, nor even acknowledging the boy's presence "Simply show me the way and I'll see what I can do" He stated politely, one hand tapping the three PokeBalls he currently residing there.

"Should moving the Snorlax become a much more literal task...I believe I've just the Pokemon for the task" He added. The boy didn't believe they intended him to roll the Snorlax off the track or anything, but he had a feeling Genn would more then meet the size requirement for such a task.

The man would smile at them both, as he would wave his hand in a motion to follow him. Two trainers, it would be enough for the moment, as he looked back into the car hoping that others would follow as the Professor continues to snore loudly.

"IF its just the two of you, you might find yourself in double or triple battles. There are quite a few pokemon out there."

The man would caution them once as he started walking towards the front of their car, and then through another car ....and another until he reached the door that would have lead them to the engine room. Here he would open the door to the side and step aside.

"If you need healing come back to me. I am not fully licenses, but, I once trained to be a pokemon nurse."

He would blush lightly at those words. They weren't exactly something that a male would normally say as he looked away nervously.

The sound of pokemon could be heard in the darkness, thanks to the fact that they were in the darkest part of the tunnel ....the only light that could be seen in this place came from the open door. And the pokemon here had enough sense to stay away from the light, as it would seem that once more, they would be fighting in a dark cavern ...nothing could be seen until they step into it and brought some sort of pokemon to shed light on the situation.

Raven merely smirked as his red eyes were met with darkness. An old foe he'd become well acquainted with thanks to a certain cavern...but this time he was prepared.

Stuffing one hand into his satchel the boy would pull out what at first appeared to be an antique lantern. Swinging the lamp once before him, the child would place thumb and forefinger on the switch, turning it once like a key. Without aid of oil or apparent electricity a flame would spring to life within, casting a low light.

The light seemed capable of burning brighter, but the child would leave it low. Fire blindness, the inability to see beyond the light, was a tricky thing in these places. By keeping it low he hoped to allow his eyes to adjust faintly to the darkness, without leaving him entirely blind before hand.

Lantern held in his left, Raven would keep his right upon his PokeBalls. Best he be prepared for whatever chose to leap out at him...

In the darkness the light would shine on them first ....a light that reflected back ...as the Steel of the steel type's body would return the light in equal power. The glowing and flashing would hide almost the sound of the pokemon that charged from the other side .....as the Phanpy tries to literally knock Raven off of his feet ...while the Aron shift closer to where the battle would be taking place.

2 vs. 2, it would seem that his first battle would be a double match.

As if light could hide sound! A preposterous claim by any method! Eyes snapping shut at the bright illumination, Raven's hand would immediately gripping his PokeBalls. Though the light was blinding, the child recognized the flash of steel as if it were second nature.

With one hand two balls would be removed from his belt, the buttons pressed by his thumb in turn before being tossed into the air. First to appear would be Fable, the Charmander's tail flame adding subtle illumination to the area; though it still amounted to a candle in this vast darkness.

Next would be Genn, the roar of the Steelix echoing loudly in the cavern as his metallic body scraped against the side of the train. Darkness as natural as air to him, the subterranean dweller's eyes would adjust swiftly to the lack of light.

Looking down he would be able to see a Phanpy charging directly at him...something which merely made the Steelix chuckle. It would seem the boy had released the Steel-Type in such a way as to act the part of a shield, or rather an impervious wall!

Raven wasted no time after that. Eyes left to no more then squint for the moment, the boy would clamber onto Genn's back, using the Steel-Type's massive body to kick off and make his way onto the train's roof. It was neither ideal nor completely safe; but still more so then the ground. The downside of possessing a lamp in this darkness was that his enemies could easily locate him. No doubt the wild Pokemon had spotted the illumination the second the train door opened.

Starter Pokemon: Charmander [M]
Name & Level: Fable, Lv 7
[Temperament] Quiet
Bio: Raven first met Fable during his time living on the streets, finding the fire-tailed reptile in one of hundreds of alleys he'd been in. Battered, beaten, and bloodied, it was clear the Charmander had seen it's fair share of battles...and lost every single one. He bit Raven only five seconds after their initial encounter. Fable had lost all trust in humanity. Raven was never fully aware of the details, but the Charmander's former trainer had been abusive. He'd placed him in battles with impossible odds, expecting him to combat and defeat opponent after opponent with little to no rest...and when he lost, it was his trainer whom would personally add to the reptiles injuries. Finally tired of wasting his time on "some worthless newt" his trainer had abandoned him in the dirtiest alleyway he could find and just left him there. The boy hadn't even given him a name...at least not one he cared to repeat.

For days after that first encounter Raven returned to the alley, usually meeting with the same result; yet still he kept coming, sometimes he even brought food. It was generally scraps most likely out of the garbage, but it was food none the less. One day the Charmander finally asked why the child kept returning...not with words of course, but with his eyes. The curiosity at the boy's actions were clear in the reptiles gaze. Raven had said he saw a fire in Fables eyes that day when they first met, the desire to become truly powerful. More time passed after that, but the only thing which mattered after that point was the outcome. Even without a Pokeball the Charmander decided to follow the boy from that day forward, even earning the name Fable in the process. Raven would speak of spending the reward money on new clothes and a bath, but what was consistently leave out was the purchase of a single Pokeball. There was no need. Even without it, Fable would follow his trainer to the depths of hell and back.

Name & Level: Genn, Lv 7
[Temperament] Hasty
Bio: Raven met with this Onix while making his way through Clockwork Cavern. An Area Guardian, his charge was evidently a Magnemite the boy had recently passed. Believing Raven a threat, the Onix attacked immediately. Raven seeing qualities he liked in the Pokemon, and after suffering some minor damage while battling against Fable, the Onix was quickly captured. An act he made no move to fight against. Quick to make his decisions, Genn rarely listens to Raven in battle, having chosen his next action before the child even has a moment to speak.

The Phanpy would be stopped by the massive bulk of the pokemon, because, otherwise, Raven might have found himself in a painful situation as the pokemon screeched to a halt. His eyes narrowed as he looked from one to the other as as he would trumpet loudly.

The human had managed to get away, but he had left his pokemon behind has the thought came to mind. If he could knock him out ...he could climb up his opponent to the child above, and once they had one under their control.

The thought of all the great food stuff inside of the train made him smile to himself as his partner would move slowly behind him.

(I got the Charmander, you take the Steelix)

He would tell his partner as the pokemon rolled his eyes.

Steel on Steel was never a fun battle. The Aron would move towards his opponent as the Phanpy would skip aside to face the fire type ...the two had forgotten quick quickly this was a team battle as they stood alone on the defensive.

Tsuki would follow suite, although he refrained from helping Raven. He didn't want help, so he wouldn't offer it. Besides, it was better to hurry with the task at hand. Returning Infinem, he'd send out Bane. The fire type set out a low flame, letting some visible light.

The fire type grumbled. Another cave? Great. That meant more insane ghosts. Like Embitter wasn't enough.

"Fable, Ember. Genn Ice Fang. Focus on the Phanpy!" Raven barked from atop the train, kneeling slight to stabilize himself. His opponents might have neglected this being two on two, but Raven wasn't about to make that mistake. For the time being the Phanpy was the weakest link, and he'd make sure the Ground-Type paid for it!

A low rumble came from Genn in response, beady eyes twinkling ">Fire and Ice....I LIKE IT!<" The Steelix bellowed, surging forward. Icy mist filled the air each time he exhaled, transforming thick squared molars into deadly icicles; frozen fangs meant to tear into his opponents flesh.

Tail thumping against the ground the Steelix would rear back...and that's when the shot was fired....literally. A ball of flame accompanied by trailing smoke sailed through the air, intent on striking the Phanpy squarely in the face before Genn descended.

Eyes glinting once more, the Steelix would hold position a moment to let the Ember strike first before he lunged downward, maw open wide as he followed with Ice Fang!

Though it would seem that Tsuki was in luck, the battle before him had distracted from him and the two pokemon would ignore him as he was allowed to move further into darkness. There would be no attacks coming his way ...as the pokemon's flames would light the darkness to show him the sides of the trains and the walls.

There was about a 12 foot space between them and the wall. Thus, he could move around the battle if he choose and move forward.
