Camilla wrapped her jacket closely against her body. The days were getting colder and it wasn't something that she particularly fancied. At night, she'd let herself wander out as 'Mimistrobell', but during the day, she preferred to hide from the cold. Problem was, everything at home just seemed a little boring.
"Maybe I'll just wander around as Mimi during the day..." That was until she spotted a movie rental store. There wasn't very many of those left and it amused Camilla just a bit to see one. If she wasn't going to run around as Mimi during the day, she might as well look for something else to do, right?
When she opened the door to the store, a small bell rang out above the door. Camilla smiled at the man that was sitting at the store front. Then looking in, she saw the rows and rows of DVDs; some where even VHS, which surprised her. "I wonder who can actually still play these," she commented under her breath. "Hm... Which movie would keep me busy?"
Her fingers ran over the different titles as she slowly walked by. Comedies. Romance. Action. Adventure... Horror? None of them seemed to click until Camilla noticed one that mentioned 'cars'. A lot of them. A lot of sexy foreign cars. Quickly picking it up, she scanned the synopsis on the back, trying to decide if this was worth the few dollars she had to pay to rent it.

The bell on the door rang again. In strolled a girl with grey hair tipped in red. A red fur lined jacket wrapped tightly around her upper body. Black legging beneath a short red wool skirt and black boots. She took no interest in the DVDs or VHSs on the shelves. No. She had come in here for on purpose as she strolled up to the man behind the counter. Leaning up against it with a wide grin on her face. "Did you get it? Tell me you ******** got it. I swear to god if you are jerking me around this time I will never come back here again dude. I am tired of t-" Her words were cut off instantly as the man produced a VHS box. There was no cover picture and no scrolling synopses on the back. On the front though it read in thick, black marker 'Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari'. The girl's eyes lit up then narrowed just slightly. "This is the original right? Black and white? No shitting?" The man replied with a nod and slid it across the counter to where she scooped it up, opened the box and flipped the tape around to give it a good look over. "And it's playable?" He grunted a yes, as if her disbelief and constant questions were beginning to annoy him. "Fine I'll take it OH! Another thing. You think you can find me 'Eyes Without a Face'?" Vyth hadn't even noticed there was anyone else in the store right away. Not until the man had slipped into the back room with a mumble. She turned her head slightly, only then noticing Camilla. Smiling brightly at her.

There ended up being a few more car-based movies that interested her. Of course, Camilla was looking more for the cars than the story line. When she heard the ding of the bell again, she just continued to read. That was, until the person that came in spoke.
Camilla was raised to be polite, even when it was to a complete stranger. The girl that came in seemed to swear in unnecessary places and well, disturbed Camilla's reading. "Are all those words really needed?" With a sigh, she continued reading.
When the girl asked for another movie of some sort, Camilla noticed the words on a DVD near her. Without looking back, she spoke up and pointed to the DVD. "Is this what you're looking for?"
She didn't pick out the DVD itself mostly because she had to use both hands to hold all the DVDs she was looking through. It would have irritated her immensely if she broke any of them.

Vyth's attention was no fully on the girl who had now spoken up. While the guy was in the back rummaging around, she strolled on over to take a gander at the DVD the chick had pointed at. Smiling in light amusement at all the DVDs she had in her hands. Glancing at what she had briefly. "Like cars do you?" Most movies about cars lacked substance. At least to her. So it was only safe to assume that she was looking at the cars and not the movies. Picking up the DVD, she eyeballed it. "Hey good eye. I'm surprised he's even got this thing laying around out here on the shelves. Its an old movie. So really hard to come by."

Camilla had thought that the girl would just look at the DVD that she had asked the counter about, but it was odd when the girl started speaking to her. She looked again at the DVDs she had in her hand, trying to pick out a favorite or two before responding. "Yeah... They're fun to look at since I can't actually get one myself. Not yet, anyways."
"Are you interested in any?" She asked as she held out a few of them, keeping ones she might want in her other hand. Camilla hoped that she wasn't being rude since she had seen them first, but she still felt guilty. She looked at the ones she held in her other hand by herself. "These are the ones I'm most interested in watching at the moment."
She looked at the DVD she helped the girl find and looked at it, curious. It didn't look like something she would know of, or have interested in, so Camilla just shrugged. "Can't say I know much about it. Glad to be of service to help you find it though."
Cuddling some of the DVDs she was holding, Camilla held out a hand to the girl. "I'm Camilla," she told the girl with a half smile. It was hard to forget how vulgar the girl was and Camilla hoped that the girl would not swear at her.

She grinned. "Ah well, I'm sure you'll get a car that you want soon enough. I don't have a car myself either, so usually I just hoof it or bus around the city. Not that I don't know how to drive, it's just not all that necessary to me right now. But maybe in the future."Vyth gave the few DVDs the other girl held up a quick glance then shook her head. Brushing her hair back over her shoulder. "Nah, its cool. I'm more interested in the horror genre. Thanks though."Tucking her own DVD under her arm, she took the other girl's hand and gave it a friendly shake. A wide smile on her ruby painted lips. "Vythica. It's a pleasure to meet you Camilla. Do you come in here often?"

"A car would be nice... My parents could probably get me one just for me to use, but I'd prefer it if I bought one with my own money." It was a good thing her parents were at least paying for her schooling since all the money she made now was under lock and key in her bedroom. Camilla was getting close to a basic car she wanted, but still so far. "Though they'd probably still have to pay for my insurance... As well as possibly pitch in for gas..."
"I'm so not ready for a car," she thought to herself. It was definitely a dream of hers to buy her own car, but a far off dream.
Camilla smiled at Vythica; she was glad that the girl seemed more polite despite her outburst earlier. "Well, I'm glad you're not a car person, well sort of. I'm still having a hard time deciding what to watch. I don't know if I like any horror movies though..."
"It's actually my first time here. I was just passing by as I was wondering what I'd do back in my dorm room. Passing by a DVD rental was lucky at it's most. It seems like you come here often...?"

"Buying it yourself is certainly rewarding." Nothing like working your fingers to the bone and having that accomplished feel once your goal is met. Even if it is for something material. "Ah well, I'm sure you can figure something out for insurance and gas once you've actually got the car."She had to laugh. Though lightly. "Well, you won't know until you try one? But if you're kind of squeamish or easily frightened I would probably stay away from some of them. There are those that are kind of corny, but still some people have a hard time watching even those." Vyth could never understand why some movies, that were totally not scary, still scared people. But whatever. She didn't loose sleep over it or ponder it constantly. "On and off. The guy who runs this place dabbles in hard to find movies. Though sometimes he can be a real jerk and yank you around if you aren't a bit assertive. Some sort of ego trip or whatever." She glanced towards the back room door he had gone through.

"My parents would probably help me with the insurance part... And if I have enough money for a car, I should have a job or something that makes me money," Camilla responded with a nod.
Camilla looked at what was in her hand and decided just to get one car movie. If she just paid attention to all the cars over and over again, Camilla doubted that she'd get bored of the story; she wouldn't even be paying attention to the story. Then, she thought over Vythica's idea of a horror movie.
"I'm not sure what kind of horror movie I'd like, but do you have one that might be kind of for like... A beginner? Something that you think is good for a thriller but not... Scaring to the point people won't sleep at night?" Camilla didn't want to sound like a chicken, but she felt like she'd have to discover what she liked and what she didn't.
She didn't care much abut the guy at the front though. Camilla wasn't even sure if she'd be here again, but she nodded at what Vythica said and smiled, not sure how to respond besides that.
