This is a Private RolePlay between Guinevere and Vorigern de Morte

Guinevere stared down at her round belly with disgust and pride. Disgust that it was the weakling King Arthur that had sired this child and filled with pride that his child would be his downfall. Everything worked out perfectly until some knight became suspicious and went in search for the real Gwenevere. Eve laughed out loud, but by that time, the damage had already been done; the idiot king sired an heir with the mare who wanted him and his mate dead. The beautiful mare’s smile was twisted as she gazed at the plumpness of her once flat stomach, she hated that she had to become fat to require the perfect tool of her vengeance; she shrugged and decided to take her anger out on the baby when it was born. Would the foal look more like her or its weakling of a father? She hoped it only possessed its father’s build, nothing else. For it was her child, not pathetic Arthur’s.

She knew that soon the foal would be born and she would need to begin twisting its mind; oh how malleable a youngling’s mind was, it would believe anything you told it and would not even contradict you if you knew the proper ways of persuasion, and Eve knew all the tricks there were.

The first wave of pain hit and the mare cursed Arthur, cursed her sister for taking what was hers, and last of all, cursing the child for its father’s weakness. Soon the pain became bearable and the mare savored in it, was this how if felt when she tortured her victims? Did they feel the euphoria of pain, relish in it? It was a sensation she began to enjoy when it stopped. There was her son. Quickly he was put into a basket, Eve was not sure where the creatures came from that placed her son into the protection of the wicker case, and nor did she care, for she was still enjoying the wonderful sensation of pain.

She slept and when she awoke, the basket, the result of all her labor rested on the ground near her. He would be known as Vortigern de Morte, for he would be her son of death, causing it where ever he traveled. Mother and son, the reign of terror had just begun, at the thought a wicked smile played across her countenance.

She was getting impatient, weeks had passed and yet her son remained inside his basket. Her brown eyes glared at the small pale basket which protected him from the outside world; the basket, itself resembled Eve’s coloring in almost every way except the top and the middle which matched the father. In her frustration, she kicked the basket, causing it to roll away from her and release a tiny, terrified, squeak.

“Shut up, you are my son and you will not be weak, so do not whine.” Her voice was sharpt and there was not a hint of motherly love. He was her son, but he was also her greatest weapon. “Vortigern, Vortigern, you are going to be the son who will bring along the downfall of your father and cause the world to go black. You have a destiny and you will not fail, for if you do, you will not live to see the changing tides.”

Vortigern was scared; he did not want to come out of his basket, especially after she had sent him rolling; the woman that was his mother seemed so demanding, so evil. Her words sent a shiver down his spine, he believed he felt fear in that very moment, but his young brain was not yet able to understand that it was anticipation that he felt slither down his spine. He slowly exited the basket, his brown eyes blinked at the bright blinding light and for the first time in his life he laid eyes upon his mother. She was exquisite, she was beautiful. In that moment he knew that he would do anything in his power to please this magnificent mare standing before him. She was his mother, and he would be her perfect son.

Eve stared at her son, “Good, you do not have much of your father in you. He is a weak stallion and my son will not be weak as I have before. Do you understand me? You are not a weakling like your father are you?” She waited for his answer, this was the determining moment, if all her planning would bear fruit or be for naught, it was also the moment that determined the life or death of her son, Vortigern. The mother continued to observe her son; he bore the markings of her heritage, the ones that signified that he was a prince. He had sharp kirin scales upon his back and a horn, he was truly her son. He appeared to be bigger boned, it pleased her that he had received the buffoon’s bulk; it would make him look more imposing as an adult.

Vortigern could not look away from his mother; he was like a moth to her flame. Her words were harsh, but he was convinced in her own way that she loved him, she would not have gone through all the trouble otherwise. He nodded his head, wanting to please his mother, the goddess of wrath, the goddess of vengeance proud of him, “I am not weak, I am strong, I am cunning, I am your son and I will be the death of my father.” It was a lot for him to promise at such a young age and he did not know if he was all those things he said he was, but he knew that he could learn just so he could prove to his mother that he is worthy of her time and kill those who keep her from her goal.

Eve smiled, it was not a pretty smile, it showed all her teeth, “You pass, you will not die today. My son, you are Vortigern de Morte, meaning Vortigern of Death, for you will cause death and destruction where ever you go. I am pleased that you say you are strong and cunning, for I would not have my first born be any other way. I will teach you an art, in which you will gain in standing and skill and you will use this to kill those who are meek.” She thought for a moment, she had so many skills which he wanted to teach her son, but she did not want him to surpass her in knowledge just in case he decided to one day turn that information she taught him against her, “You shall learn how to make potions of poison, which will either instantaneously kill or so slowly one will be begging for death by the end. It is one of the most painful ways to die, and my top second favorite death to those who are not worthy breathing.”

Vortigern’s heart began to race, he was going to be a poison master, the prospect was exhilarating, “When do we begin?” How was his mother going to teach him about poisons? Did she know all that she was about to teach him? Was she a goddess of learning as well? With her beauty she had to be a great goddess of many trades. The young foal no longer felt fear; it was such a silly emotion to hold on to, what good would it do when he was faced with an opponent? He wanted it so that they should fear him and with his knowledge he was about to gain, they would surely do just that. Vortigern gave an evil grin to his mother, “Do I have a choice of which poison to learn first? Because the painful slow acting ones sound like it would be fun to try out first.” He looked around the forest, wondering where their first victim of his training hid. His brown eyes glinted in the light, and anticipation filled the muscular foal’s body, this was going to be exciting.

A twisted gleam entered her eye, there was no denying it, this little foal was her son, “Of course,” those were her favorite to watch as well, especially toward the end when the convulsions occur and hope leaves the eyes of the pitiful unworthy creature, “Come son, it is time for you to take a life and prove to me once and for all that you will obey me and warship me. For I have brought you into this world, I can take you out of it. Always remember those words. If you ever disobey me or betray me, you will be useless to me and will be better off dead. If you do as I wish, you will achieve great things. You are the first born son of a king, however pitiful, and me, the rightful queen. You will do great things.”

He did not feel afraid, even if the words that his mother spoke were a constant threat upon his survival. He would never betray her, she was a goddess and he was the poor penitent who wished for her blessing upon every aspect of his life. He bowed his head to his mother, “I would never betray you and if I should ever do so, I would take my own life, for you are my everything and I could not live knowing I have destroyed your trust. Now mother, who are we going to kill? And how will I kill it? Could it be a foal my size, so as I kill it I can watch the life drain out of its eyes and know that I am more powerful than it?” He did not know how to use poison to kill yet, for he had just popped from his basket, it did not even occur to him that he was talking too soon. He was born for one reason, to be the down fall of his father and aunt, and bring to power of the magnificent being standing before him, his mother.

Eve laughed, it held a bitter tint to it, “I will hold you to your words boy. And if you remain faithful, you will be my favorite son, no matter how many children I have. They will believe that they are my favorite, but you will know, because you have stayed true longer. Now, that is a good idea. A foal for a foal. One came into life today and one shall leave it. Come, I know the perfect spot to find your first victim.” She lead him to a small clearing where she had seen a foal playing earlier in the week, it would most likely return. “Wait here and when you see it, show the pathetic thing no mercy. You will be doing it a favor riding it from this world.”

Vortigern nodded his head to his mother, he wanted to be her favorite and he would do everything in his power to remain in her light. His mother went into the shadows and allowed him to wait for his prey to show. He did not have to wait long; a small foal came through the woods, his eyes widened in happy surprise to have a new friend. Before the weak creature could speak, Vortigern went after it with his short horn, aiming for the heart. It was quick, for his aim was true. Shock filled the eyes of the foal as the life rushed out of him, “You are weak and you deserved to die. Only the strong will survive.” With those last words, the colt died and his blood soaked the earth. Vortigern let out a victory shout, and turned to his mother, “Am I worthy to be your son, Great Queen?” His horn glistened with blood from his first kill as he bowed to his mother, waiting to accept her praise or disapproval.

Eve stared at the dead body of the pathetic foal, a wicked gleam came to her eyes, and her voice held approval as she spoke to her son, “You are worthy my dear blood thirsty Vortigern. And now, your first lesson of poison training will be how to dispose of a dead body. Come; grab one of his legs in your mouth and pull. I will not help you, for you will need to gain strength and endurance. There will be many dead bodies in your future and mommy won’t always be there to help.”

Vortigern did as his mother asked; he grabbed the leg of the dead foal and began to pull the carcass in the direction his Vengeful Goddess had headed. It was hard work, since the foal was nothing but dead weight. Vortigern’s neck had begun to feel the strain of pulling the body, but he did not give up, he would not show weakness in the presence of his mother. Soon he entered the thick forest; it was getting harder to drag the foal, for it kept getting caught on roots of trees. Minutes passed, but it felt like hours until he came to a stop at the location his mother had indicated. He released the leg and looked at his mother expectantly.

“Good boy. Now see that pile of leaves and other dead plant matter? We will hide the body beneath it and soon the forest will do the rest of your dirty work. Carnivorous creatures will be drawn to the carcass and consume the flesh. Insects will eat away what is left, and then nothing but bones shall remain. This location is far enough from the location that foal frequented, so it is unlikely that its parents will come looking for it here, but even if they did, there is nothing they can do about. Perhaps finding the body of their pathetic child would prove to them that they should not reproduce… would help diminish the weak and stupid population of earth.” The mare paused, “So it will be up to you if you want to leave the bodies in a place easily found or hide them so well that they will never be seen again.”
