-_-_-_-_Charles: Beta of the Shadowed Moon Pack_-_-_-_- Charles trotted through the woods, scaring up a couple of rabbits and tensing for a moment, considering chasing them down. Not hungry. he decided, breathing in the scents of the forest, his wolf's mind analyzing the messages that the air contained for him.

I'm gonna fight for what's right Today I'm speaking my mind And if it kills me tonight (I will be ready to die) Azarail Scythe _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for what's right, Who's gonna help us survive? _______________________________________________________________ A cool breeze drifted through the forest rustling the leaves as it passed. A dark haired male stood, back leaned against a tree, one foot propped up against the trunk, and arms crossed over his chest, staring up at the swaying branches and the sky above them. Azarail sighed softly, the sound nothing but the smallest whisper of air slipping from his lips. Things seemed off, different, and especially as of late. The Blood Moon pack was hardly even a threat in his mind, at least, not nearly as much as it used to be. Slipping his eyes closed he leaned his head back against the rough bark of the tree he was leaning on, and let his senses take over.
A scent reached him, along with the sound of the thudding hind legs of rabbits as they ran. He slid a single eye open, letting it drift in the direction of the scent, and finding himself staring at a golden brown wolf who stood a little ways away. The male narrowed his eyes slightly as he studied him, unsure if he had been noticed yet or not. It was their new beta, though to be honest, Azarail wasn't all that happy to admit it, since he had never gotten the chance to fight for the place despite entering. However, with a sigh he looked away from him. He would have to get over it, and try for something else, or maybe wait until there was another opportunity.
To be honest, he had only ever met Charles once before, in passing, and even then they never really spoke, just passed each other by. If only he had known that he was the one who was supposed to be trying out for the beta position, despite being an outsider.
"Checking out the borders, or are you out here to scare off all the prey?" He asked in a playful, teasing tone. No matter how upset he might be about the position of the other, he really didn't want to start a fight, and besides, the guy hadn't done anything wrong. It wasn't in Azarail's nature to attack someone who hadn't wronged the pack, nor to start anything with them. For all he knew, the guy could actually be worth the respect.
He slid a pale yellow eye open once more, not turning his head, but still watching him, curious about the other wolf who had managed to make Beta in the pack.
"Oh, and I suppose a congratulations is in order. I heard you made it for the position of Beta." _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for the weak, Who's gonna make 'em believe? _______________________________________________________________ It's just another war Just another family torn Just a step from the edge Just another day in the world we live ((Out of Cognition: Hey, sorry if the post is sucky. I'm kinda distracted at the moment. I figured though that you might like someone to role-play with. ^ ^))

-_-_-_-_Charles: Beta of the Shadowed Moon Pack_-_-_-_- Charles snorted, bounding over to Azarail and snorting. Hmmm...sounds fun. he thought, running off to scare a squirrel that sat in it's tree, scolding him in it's chittering voice. Thank you. Charles said, surprised that Azarail would congratulate him on getting beta. Lets run together pack-mate. he suggested, suddenly feeling full of energy, saturated with it. He bounced around a little, eying the tree that the squirrel was in, wondering if it would come down again.OCC: Thank you for RPing with me ^.^ I was hoping that someone would whee

His lips curved slightly at the edges, a slight grin making it's way onto his face. So maybe Charles would be an interesting beta after all. Of course the idea of running around and frightening the prey didn't necessarily sound like something one could consider fun, but honestly, that was just his overly rational side thinking.
Pushing away from the tree he stood for a moment, watching the other bounce around a little beneath it, a smile finding its way onto his face before he started to shift into his wolf form. Once on all fours he shook himself, stretching out fully before standing straight again.
'Yeah, sure why not. Sounds like fun.'He said through mind speak to the other, his gaze drifting slowly up to the tree where the squirrel still sat chittering in a scolding manner at the wolf below. Azarail snorted, a laugh traveling through their mental connection at the squirrels antics. He wondered if he could get the tiny critter to come back down from his perch.
'Hah, watch this.'He said into the others mind while backing up a few steps, his paws brushing lightly through the fallen leaves, twigs and grass that was beneath them. After a moment of studying the trees height and the squirrels distance from himself, he let his body shift into the density of a spirits, though he was still visible. Then bursting forward he ran at the tree before leaping up, his body much lighter then that of a normal wolves in this form, and used what speed and momentum he had left, to run up the side of it until he reached the branch directly beneath the squirrel.
He lifted his gaze to the thing and growled, flashing his fangs, and waiting to see what it did. This was amusing already, to say the least, since he was now a wolf in a tree....not something you see every day. _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for the weak, Who's gonna make 'em believe? _______________________________________________________________ It's just another war Just another family torn Just a step from the edge Just another day in the world we live ((Out of Cognition: Realized that I apparently never made a post code for his wolf side, so I just threw one together. lol Also, ugh another bad post. -_-_-_-_Charles: Beta of the Shadowed Moon Pack_-_-_-_- Charles sat down, watching Azarail closely to see what would happen. He was surprised to see the other wolf scale the tree as easily as the squirrel would have. When Azarail got up to it, the squirrel froze for a moment, staring into Azarail's eyes for a moment before it squeaked and ran to the very tippy top of the tree. That was great! Charles thought, his laughter floating across the pack-bond that the two wolves shared. Lets go. Lets run. Charles suddenly said, hopping around beneath the tree, amazed at how Azarail had ghosted himself up there. OCC: I like you! Your posts are awesum ^.^

There was no way he was following it up there. Azarail shifted his gaze back to the new beta of the pack only to find him bouncing about again. He sure was excited, and he seemed genuinely warm hearted so far...so he decided that he liked him.
'You seem excited. Alright, I'm coming down!'He called out before bounding off of the tree branch and landing softly onto the ground. Small streams of spirit energy rose up from his paws as they came in contact with the hard earth, cushioning his fall. He slid easily from his spirit form to his more solid one and padded over to Charles, his ears perked and tail twitching slightly as his own paws suddenly itched to be on the move.
It seemed that Charles's excitement was contagious, though he wasn't complaining. It felt nice, and was a big change from how serious things had been only a week ago, if it had even been that long.
'Yes, let's. Besides, I think it could be fun.' Azarail responded before suddenly darting off in a random direction. It had actually been a rather long time since he had gone running like this, just for the fun of it instead of for some sort of emergency or dangerous situation that he had to break up. He glanced back to make sure that Charles was beside him. _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for the weak, Who's gonna make 'em believe? _______________________________________________________________ It's just another war Just another family torn Just a step from the edge Just another day in the world we live ((Out of Cognition: Oh thank you ^ ^ I honestly can do better though with my posts. -_-_-_-_Charles: Beta of the Shadowed Moon Pack_-_-_-_- Charles dashed off after Azarail, playfully nudging him when they were even with each other. Faster. he urged, digging his nails into the forest floor and shooting forward. For a wolf of his size, he was surprisingly agile, weaving through the forest with an ease that belied his size. The sheer pleasure of running lightened Charles' thoughts, until he was living entirely in the moment, with not a thought for anything except the now. This is how a wolf lives. All the time. Charles wolf whispered to him, sharing his excitement with Charles and blending them together until they were one. This is the life. Charles thought, letting his thought and the contentment that his wolf had showed him how to find bleed over a little into the Pack.OCC:

Azarail was a fast runner, his body light, but not so much as to effect his strength, and his paws strong. It came from years of training with his brother, and working hard to take care of his siblings, and then even more so when he became an epsilon along side Esther. He only hoped that he could make it back into that position, and wondered if she would be upset that he hadn't made it as beta.
Well he was okay with it, if it meant that a wolf like this made it as the new beta. He seemed so free, and strong, and he was obviously very in tune with his inner animal. The male could feel it through the pack bond as he ran along side him, feeling the wind rush through his fur, watching the life of the forest rushing past him and feeling the cool earth beneath his paws. All of his thoughts fled him and all that existed was the feeling of his running, of his breath rushing into his lungs and bursting back out, of his wolf's excitement.
Azarail bounded over a fallen tree and darted around a bush of thorned wild roses, and as he ran, he threw his head back and let out a howl. Now if only life could stay this way...but he knew better then that.
'Wish life could stay like this'His voice whispered through the pack bond. _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for the weak, Who's gonna make 'em believe? _______________________________________________________________ It's just another war Just another family torn Just a step from the edge Just another day in the world we live ((Out of Cognition: Okay, so here's the post. -_-_-_-_Charles: Beta of the Shadowed Moon Pack_-_-_-_- Charles could hardly keep up with Azarail, but he enjoyed the feeling of stretching his stride to the limit, just able to keep up with the other wolf. This is always only a breath away. he thought, letting the thought float free, out to the world. Accept yourself, and who you are, and this will be yours. The Wolf said to Azarail, seoerating form Charles a little. Charles's wolf had never spoken with another before, and he wasn't sure what to make of it. The Wolf withdrew back into Charles, blending with him once again and restoring the oneness with Charles. Then they ran, letting thought go, simply enjoying the forest and the Pack Bonds.OCC: Awww,,,,I love your posts!!! blaugh

Then another voice reached out to him, and he could feel his own wolf stir at the sound, at the new presence that had entered his mind for just a moment before slipping back away again. Another werewolf's inner wolf had never personally spoken to him before, but it fascinated him. Azarail's own wolf now seemed to wake fully within himself, apparently interested even more so in what was happening around him then it had already been, and he simply accepted it.
'I wonder what he meant by that...By accepting myself..'He though, partially to Charles and partially to himself. However his thoughts didn't matter right then, and he pushed them away, and pushed himself onwards, ignoring the burning in his muscles. It was nothing compared to how it got in training, and he could handle more. He felt his wolf's agreement through it's sudden surge of excitement, and it made him wonder if his bond with his inner beast was different then that of Charles's.
His own never really spoke to him, or at least, he didn't think that it did. He knew that sometimes he could hear Zairith talking to himself, or at least, to what he thought might be himself, and this made him wonder if maybe he had been communicating with his wolf. He would have to ask him later.
For now, all that needed to exist, was the forest, and their freedom. So he ran, though falling back in speed by a tiny fraction so that he could run directly beside Charles, so that they could share this experience as pack mates. So as he ran, he listened to the soft whispers of the wind, and the rustling of the leaves as they passed through them. _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for the weak, Who's gonna make 'em believe? _______________________________________________________________ It's just another war Just another family torn Just a step from the edge Just another day in the world we live ((Out of Cognition: I'm happy that you like them. ^ ^ I like your posts too.))

-_-_-_-_Charles: Beta of the Shadowed Moon Pack_-_-_-_- Charles and Azarail and their wolves ran together for a timeless time, not thinking, and only feeling the day around them. After a while Charles began to slow down, separating a little from his wolf so that he could think as a human would. There was still a wolfish tint to his thoughts, changing Charles' priorities a little. Lets rest. Charles suggested, panting to help cool down. That was great. he thought to himself and his wolf, feeling fiercely satisfied with the run.OCC: Thank you 4laugh Also, I thought that we could move on a little, and get some dialog going ^o^

As they came to a stop, he took the chance to look around at their new surroundings. They were still in the forest, which was a good thing, since he would rather not have ended up in the other packs territory today, or at least, not at this moment. In fact, he had to wonder how far they had even gone. At this point, he was panting, his body overheated from the run, but he enjoyed it just as well since it meant that he had had the chance to run.
'Yeah, I think that would be for the best.'He said, feeling his own wolf slip back away from him, once again bringing on the thought on whether his bond was different or not. Then again, it seemed as though Charles wasn't a supernatural wolf, and well, Azarail was, not to mention a spirit one, so it probably was a bit different.
'I'm curious. How does the bond between you and your wolf feel? How does it work? I apologize if the questions seem odd, but, the whole time during the run when I felt your wolf's presence mingling with yours, and then when it spoke to me...I had a feeling that the way our wolves are bonded to us might be different.' He said, slowly lowering himself down so that he was laying flat on his stomach against the cool earth. It felt nice against his fur, as it helped to cool him down.'My own has never really spoken to me, or anyone else...that I know of.' _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for the weak, Who's gonna make 'em believe? _______________________________________________________________ It's just another war Just another family torn Just a step from the edge Just another day in the world we live ((Out of Cognition: Yeah, it sounds good to me. ^ ^.))

-_-_-_-_Charles: Beta of the Shadowed Moon Pack_-_-_-_- Charles thought for a few minutes, trying to fit his bond into words. Him and me share a life, as well as a body, but I had to accept him as a part of me before we were able to balance like that. Charles said, remembering how he had fought against the wolf part of him at first. When I came to peace with myself, what had happened to me, and him, we became closer. I wasn't pushing him away anymore. Charles said, flopping down on the forest floor and letting his body cool itself down. Your balance will probably be different than ours, simply because you are different from us. he concluded, feeling his wolf's agreement.

I believe I've already gone through accepting my wolf, he's...just stubborn I guess. Heck my brother fights his wolf more then I do..well, I guess since I don't fight my wolf unless absolutely necessary, that would be obvious. Though I think he might have a reason to do so.'He thought to the other male, his gaze traveling over the forest around them as he spoke. His thoughts wondered for a moment before he returned his attention to Charles, a question on his mind.
'I'm curious. Out of all the other packs out there, or that at least, might be out there...why did you choose this one?'Azarail asked, watching him carefully, yet not in a way that would cause either of their wolves to react to it as if the stare was a challenge. He hated when that happened because sometimes he'd forget about that part of wolf dominance issues. It even came with normal canines if he remembered correctly. It was a good thing that they had human minds to help keep them from lunging at each others throats every time they even looked at each other in a funny manner. Not that he had a problem with the wolf's way of living, but it wouldn't do the pack any good to be fighting each other all the time.
He vaguely wondered how his sister was doing back at the cabin, but chose not to think about that too much. She was fine, he was sure. _______________________________________________________________ Who's gonna fight for the weak, Who's gonna make 'em believe? _______________________________________________________________ It's just another war Just another family torn Just a step from the edge Just another day in the world we live ((Out of Cognition: NOOO short post!
