Florian breathed deeply and quickly as she stopped for a moment to catch her breath. It had been at least a week since she decided to venture out in search of her family to tell them about her pregnancy in hopes that none of them were upset. “Pan could you do me a favor and scout a head?” she asked as she glanced to her little hummingbird friend whom had decided to take a little rest on her back. He nodded his head and took to the skies. She listened to humming on his wings as he flew up to the canopy of the forest to take a look at their surroundings. It had been a while since Florian had walked the path to her family’s homelands so every direction looked the same and she wasn’t sure if they were going the right way or not.
“There’s a clearing up a head!” Pan called out from above with his beak pointed a head of them. Florian looked ahead with a look of concern before glancing to her swollen belly. This journey was quite frustrating and tiring. She hoped that her family was somewhere close…
“Shall we go?” Pan asked as he flew down to her. Nodding her head as she pushed away from the tree and started towards the clearing that her companion had appointed out. “Let’s just hope that someone is grazing and out there,” she said softly with a hopeful smile.

Cad had been grazing about in the grasses of the clearing that served as a commons area for the herds in the area. He'd returned home for a bit, his latest tinkering set on hold till he could look upon it with a fresh mind. The sun reflected off his pale blue coat as he moved a step, snuffling around the dry grass and looking for something more tender that might be left still. to his right and hidden between himself and the path that lead to the inner most sanction of his grandmother's herd lands was a pale white doe looking mare. His mother and he had taken to a morning of silent company while his sisters and father occupied themselves doing goodness only knew what. She was happy to have Cad home again, his absences always worried her. She knew he had to do his own thing and live his own like but it never stops one from worrying over their children. Cad now towered above her like his father and had grown into a handsome young stallion. She was proud of him for how he'd grown into a respectable male with all the tenderness of her family and Rakshi's family's courteousness. Lifting her head, she nudged Cad's side, her small doe like tail flicking and wagging her happy status of having her family mostly present once more. As her grandson and daughter grazed, she was just finishing up her rounds along the boarders of her herd. Trouble was brewing to the west so she was doubly checking to make sure that it was secure. Magic seemed to be picking up on the small mare's determination as the black bear was padding in front of her a ways and giving every small game trail a look of scrutiny.

“I do believe this would be the first time of me meeting your family,” Pan spoke softly as he took a little perch upon her head nestled in between her ears. “This will be quite fun. I don’t understand why you’re so nervous, especially the way you talked about your family,” he said. Florian chuckled and nodded her head. She was nervous about bringing up her pregnancy but quite excited to be seeing all of them again. It wasn’t long until the young mare noticed the meadow as there was quite a collection of light in that area and the smell of fresh clovers was in the faint breeze. Breathing in deeply as she rose her head and noticed that there was a different scent within the breeze. What was it? Somehow—in some way the smell was familiar… “Everything all right?” Pan asked as he noticed that Florian became alert about something. He looked around but couldn’t see anything. Besides what dark creature would be lurking in woodlands in the middle of day? “What’s that?” Florian blinked as she saw something moving in the clearing that rested in the very near distance. It was something black—pretty good sized, moving through the woodlands at the clearing’s boarder. “Did you see that? Right there?” Florian blinked and stopped as she watched whatever creature was lurking ahead. Apart of her wanted to see what it was but she knew that Pan would not like that at all and instead she hid behind a tree as Pan went to see whatever was moving. She looked around the tree’s trunk with bright, curious eyes.

He chuckled as his mother nudged him. "Mother, I'm happy to be home. How have things been?" Though he'd come in the night before, he'd been weary and his arrival late in the evening. He'd promised his family he'd catch up in the morning. "All well I hope." His ears flicked as he looked at her a smile on his maw. He enjoyed the company of his mother, when she wasn't pestering him to go out and make new friends. Thankfully since he'd met moonshine and become fast friends with the more nocturnal stallion, she'd eased up on that form of mothering.
Eying her massive son, she smiled softly that tender motherly smile she'd always given her children. "All has been well.." She said shaking her mane around. The toss of her mane left her scared shoulder visible for a moment and warranted a small frown from her son. "Your grandmother's been personally watching the boarders with Magic. I'm sure if something is about to happen or even if she's worried it might.. She'll let us know." She had faith in her mother. Her mate's father would likely lend a hand if he could too so her family for now was safe as far as she could tell.
Magic stopped and finally turned to wait for the small mare she'd known so long. Soon she'd caught up with her long time companion and looked out over the land. "I found walker tracks a day's travel from our boarders last night when I left to hunt for the night Sho. Animal to soquili.. can't be mistaken..." The smaller sized black bear spoke as she sat. "Thanks, Magic.. I know there's been rumor of a pale coated male walker stalking.. Lets just hope he avoids us.. This one's supposed to be like the devil incarnate.." Reaching down, she nuzzled the top of her familiar's head. "Lets meet up with my family for breakfast shall we?" She spoke as she moved, heading for the clearing, her long tail trailing behind her like a curtain of white. She'd keep this news from her family for the moment. She didn't need rumors to spread and blow out of proportion like wild fire and the entire herd to become spooked. For now, she'd hold onto this till she could discuss it with Oracle and Meykal.
A small rustling sound could be heard in a bush from behind where Florian stood followed by a small squeak of a sneeze that ended with a pale white rabit with rose colored markings on her feet and a rose adorning her to tumbled from the bush. She'd been coming back from sending a message to Merashik and Rakshi as an update on Briallan's current status at home while they weren't with her.

“Did you hear that?” Pan chirped as he landed in between the mare’s ears again and looked to the bush in which he heard rattling coming from. Florian sighed deeply and shook her head while rolling her eyes. She wasn’t frightened by the noise that was coming from the shrubbery and couldn’t help it but to chuckle to Pan as he seemed quite scared. “It’s probably just a little---“ Florian started to say as she turned around to face the bush. It was then that a little white rabbit jumped out. “Just a little bunny,” she jokingly said. Pan wiggled his talons and grunted as he looked away from the pale rabbit.
But Florian didn’t look away. She couldn’t blink away even if she tried because the rabbit that had jumped out looked very, very familiar…
“BRI!” she nearly shouted out. “You’re my sister’s companion. Are you not?” Florian blinked with excitement building up throughout every limb on her body. “That’s why you look so familiar! Oh tell me that you’re my sister’s companion and not some stranger…not that meeting a stranger would be a bad thing---it’s just that I’ve been searching and traveling to see my family,” Florian breathed as she spoke quickly as she looked to the female rabbit with bright eyes.

Roselyn stared up at the mare and blinked, pulling her ears down over her face rather shyly. Nodding she peered out with one eye. "I'm mistress Briallan's companion, Roselyn." She let her ears lift some. "I was just returning from seeing her mate.." Looking off the direction she'd been headed she saw the familiar path. "You lost? the path's this way. Come on, I'll show you." She hopped off giggling, taking note of the roses that seemed to be common with this particular family line.
Shoshanna made her way back to the clearing, magic trailing to her side. As she reached the break in the trees, she stopped, looking both to sky and land for predators before finally exiting the safety of the trees to join her family. "Hows the grass this morning?"
She smiled hearing her mother's voice. "It's to be expected for the late season." She waited her mother to get closer before she gave her mother a nuzzled greeting. "Boarders looking well?" She asked as she edged away from Cad so as not to disturb his breakfast should anything be wrong.
He flicked his ears and gave a swish of his tail as his grandmother and her companion bear came int view. Stepping a bit further away from the mares he towered over like his father, he enthusiastically investigated a patch of clover, allowing the mares to talk with out his interruptions.

Florian’s smiled blossomed as she followed Roselyn towards the right path to take. “I knew you looked familiar,” she spoke softly with her head dipped down a bit as she looked to the pale white rabbit. “It’s that rose that gave my memory a quick jump start as Bri is adorned with the same sort of roses,” she said. Pan remained quiet though with a bright smile on his face as he stayed perched in between Florian’s ears. He couldn’t wait to meet the family that Florian would go on-and on- AND on about.

She nodded as she hopped along. "They're likely grazing in the commons meadow.." She said quietly, hopping over small fallen branches and under other pits of undergrowth.
She gave a nod. "So far things look fine." She smiled. "How are my great grandsons?" She teased lightly. She knew haven had two sons and though she knew nothing of the father, the boys were family all the same.
"Fair enough.." She said giving a side ways glance to her own son who seemed to be a confirmed bachelor so far. "Haven's boys? They're fine I suppose.. I haven't heard anything from them." She stated. "They're adults now though so they'll likely do as they will."

Florian breathed in deeply with her heart racing. It had been a while since she had visited her family to spend any time with them. It was exciting to be rejoicing with them, but she hoped that they would be accepting of her pregnancy. "Almost time," Florian smiled as she glanced to Pan. The little hummingbird grimaced as he exchanged looks with the mare. "Are these grazing meadows far?" Florian asked as she looked down to the little white bunny.

She shook her little head lightly and continued to hop. "It's not far. Just a little ways further." She stopped shortly just enough to make note of the mare's rather large round belly. She gave a knowing smile before turning and continuing ahead. She had been with Briallan when the little white doe had been heavy with foal. She knew the large belly well. She gave another nod. She understood too well what it was like to be young and restless. To roam as your heart willed it and seek out anything and everything to gain knowledge from. "As long as they're in good health." She gave a gentle nod and eyed Cad once more. "So, How has my strapping young grand son been? Stealing the hearts of mares?"Briallan nodded in agreement with her mother. " As long as they're in good health and happy, that is all we can ask." She looked to Cad and gave a light chuckle as he drew her mother's attention. "Or has your tinkering continued to fog your head?" she added to her mother's topic. Cad had a moment to look embarrassed as both his mother and grand mother's attention drew to him. " Well... ah.... What do I say??" He was at a loss for words. His big form shifted from cloven hoof to cloven hoof as he tried to think of some way to get their prying attention from him.
It was then that his ears picked up the sound oh approaching visitors. "I think we have company." He said looking at the mares who had slipped into light giggles.
