For the past week, Anahita had watched Niyol line rocks up around the teepee. She had watched her two-legs stare repeatedly at the evening skies. As the days passed, Ana couldn't help but find herself anxious as well. If it was about the sky, it excited her. It was a place that she could only dream about, all those little pinpricks blanketing the forest's canopy.
The lake water slowly cooling with the autumn season. Ana saw certain trees changing into unique colors. It definitely wasn't like the reefs; always vibrant with tropical hues. It was different. These were relaxing - humbling, even.
So came the present, Ana watched Niyol place the last little rock and dance about. Eagerly, the two-legs sat down and watched the heavens.
Anahita wasn't sure, of course, she would star gaze on occasion, however... One tear-shaped light streaked the sky, and then another. Then, more and more cascaded in arcs across the zenith.
Curious, Ana went farther across the lake, trying to find an area where the treeline wasn't so thick. She searched and searched and at last found a clearing. Ana hoped the shoals didn't go so far out from the shore so she could try and get a front-row view.
Ana saw that the clearing wasn't so free of occupants, but maybe they wouldn't mind having her joining them? "Excuse me...? May I join you?"

shrinking down to the size of a bee he flies and lands on Ana's nose. "Oh yes please join us." He flies up and back to the land as he sizes up to the size he was before. "You are a Mer right. I have heard stories about Mers. But you are the first one I have enter met... I am a Fluttercorn." He trots in place as he watches Ana. Finding her interesting as he then lays down on the bank of the water and sand. "I am Shadow and who might you be?"This is just Shadow and how he acts when meeting someone new to him. He is a playful one. It helps that Ana has such pretty colors to her. He looks at her. "Your colors are like flowers. It is pretty." He looks up at the sky seeing the shooting stars as the aww look appears on his as he is taken back by the sight. Tsumetai looking at Shadow. "You are so odd." She looks at Ana. "I am Tsumetai and what might your name be?" She wonders as she prances about until another streak of light flashes through the night sky. She looks up at it in aww "Pretty."

Ana watched the large stallion shift sizes. It left her in a state of awe and wonder. She awoke, free of her reverie; taking into account they asked her for her name.
She coughed, flushed a bit at the compliment from Shadow. "Uh, Anahita, but you may call me Ana," she nodded. "It's nice to make your acquaintances," she said smiling up at him.
Her brow furrowed, "I feel terrible. I've never encountered a Fluttercorn before." Ana felt sheepish, she'd only been around Mers mostly and Patchems. Yet, Patchems was even different from these! Oh, the splendor of this land world!
"Where are you from? May I ask?" Ana asked, letting the tail of a meteorite catch her attention.

"Don't feel bad about never meeting a fluttercorn before. Seeing I never met a mer before." Shadow points out as he lays there as he smiles. "But Mers are pretty like a water flower. I love it." He looks at Ana. "Sadly my name can't really be shorten. Shadow is well Shadow." He looks at his sister and watches her a bit and then looks back at Ana "Is under water as pretty as you are?" [[OOC "I was under your porch and I love you]] He stands up and re-sizes to be as big as a butterfly and flies around Ana. "I wish I could see under water."
He then flies back to the bank seeing that he can't stay in the tiny sizes he can go into too long. A full flutter can hold the tiny sizes longer then he and Tsumetai can.
Tsumetai looks at Ana. "I am Tsumetai and my nickname is Tai. And you can call me Tai if you wish. Unlike full flutters who can stay in the tiny sizes a lot longer then us cross or half breeds." She points out as she prances to the bank and moves her head down so she could get a drink.

Ana nodded expectantly at their words. It was odd, meeting, yet seeing a Fluttercorn and here there were two! She flushed under his charming words. "Well, there are our reefs and the deep valleys that the Merfolk cultivate different kinds of corals and kelp and other things," she explained. Ana was taken aback, she wasn't used to such a compliment. "To be honest, Shadow," she began, "I find myself quite plain to my world. Yes, I may be unique, but there are others far more fair and elegant than I."
She looked over her shoulder to see if she could see the little fire nestled beside the teepee on the other side of the lake. Ana turned back to them, "I happen to live on the other side of the lake. I believe my two-legs was waiting for tonight herself."
"To give you an idea of what it's like under the water," Ana trailed off to find the right words. How to describe it? She wondered to herself. Ana probably had the most perplexing look on her face as she contemplated. "Well, for one... if you don't tether certain items down the current can take it away. But I guess its the same if the wind takes something up here. "Then there's the swaying of the kelp beds and vibrant colonies of coral. I mentioned that didn't I?" she laughed in spite of herself. "There are the open sea markets, which would be full of bustling customers. I haven't encountered the other life up here as I have down there." She frowned, she knew she wasn't giving him an accurate description. Yet, it made her a bit heartsick not to be closer to her family.
She turned to Tai, "It really is cool you can transform!" she exclaimed. "All I do is swim around all day. I bet you've seen so many glorious things," her eyes twinkling with bemusement.

Shadow looking at Ana a bit more. "But you are a flower of the sea to me. I love that. So you are elegant and fair enough to us." He points out as he continues to watch her.
"Waiting for tonight? What is happening tonight?" He wonders as he flutters his wings a bit and lifts his tail slightly before putting it down again. He listens to her talking about the underwater world.
"The underwater world sounds awesome. I am not sure if there are markets up here. If so I haven't seen them yet."

Tsumetai looking at Ana as she watches her brother from time to time. "It is helpful seeing we help the flowers and plant life. But if it starts to rain we are safer in our full sizes. Seeing once our wings are wet we can't fly until they are dry. Plus we have to be small to fly." She points out.
She smiles to Ana "I would love to swim all day but I have to be careful when in the water because of my wings. So I can't have a lot of fun with water. And as for the glorious things. Most are only flowers and plants." She giggles.

Ana blushed, "That's awfully kind of you, Shadow." She tried to hide her flushed cheeks under the surface. It took a moment before she felt the warm fade.
Ana glanced to the heavens as a fleeting cloud passed. The night sky was brightly littered with stars. "Yes, something wonderful! I saw my two-legs counting out the days. Today, she danced about in celebration. I'm not exactly sure what it's called, but the sky looks as though it cries." She watched a few more cascading streaks arced over the horizon.
She took Tai's words to heart, "I can see where that'd be troublesome. I've never seen many flowers, only that of the sea. And yet, since I've been here, I just see the trees. I do see what my two-legs brings back from I no not where. I occasionally head back home to see my friends and family. But I have a feeling our flowers are not typically comparable." Ana frowned. "I bet they're beautiful."
Ana stretched her tail and came closer to the shore. She watched the stars fall; more and more of them began to fell. "I love the stars. But I don't understand why they fall. Have you heard of such things?"
She didn't like the fact there was so much stars falling, Ana believed there wasn't going to be any left to enjoy. She felt unease rising within her. A knot began to form in her throat as the falling stars increased. Ana hoped this would stop, but the fact the sky was practically upon them did not ease her anxiety.
