Kallichore was pondering. She had a folio of notes safely tucked away, ready to be dispersed to the populous. The senshi needed some kind of unifying education, some kind of guidance, and it took entirely too long to finish everything. So many things had happened since the gray haired senshi began work on her primer. She'd been a new recruit in the Blood Moon. Just a baby, barely into her senshidom at that point. But Kallichore had come into her own with time, bloodshed and tears. Now she wanted to give back, guide those that were without guidance. Give them choices. Give them knowledge. But she needed help to do that. The eternal had heard of several cats in her travels but had not met very many of them. The few that had upgraded her powers had done so in passing. Now she was on the lookout for cats that would be willing to lend a hand to her quest. She couldn't do it on her own. And nowadays she didn't want to. She was slowly learning how one could not operate on their own. Not anymore. There was one cat in particular Kallichore had wanted to meet named *********. Other than her name and the cat being a manx, she didn't know much about her. Perched up on the lip of one of Destiny City's radio station network buildings, the eternal frowned. It seemed silly but... she did as she was told. A plate of chocolate cake sat beside her on the ledge.

There was cake out of her reach.
It was driving the Guardian NUTS!!!! On the street level, the manx cat could catch the smell of chocolate cake. It was up higher in the sky than cake usually was. She was trying to find something, anything she could to get closer to the food. There were trash cans and a large bin to the side of the building, which the tailless feline had decided to leap up on top of.
However, it wasn't close enough. From the top of the garbage bin, the pale cat began to try bouncing up in the air to get closer to the cake.
"...I think someone did this on purpose..." she muttered at one point mid-bounce. Her efforts weren't really getting her anywhere, but nobody could say she wasn't trying!

After a few moments of waiting, a peculiar sound reached the eternal's ears. It sounded like a sack of flour was being dropped repeatedly on metal. A strange signal popped up on her mental radar and she blinked out of her thoughts. Maybe...? Darting off in the direction of the noises, leaping off the side of the building, landing quietly nearby. She turned around to find a pale, tailless cat. This must be the manx people had been talking about. "Ah... I beg your pardon?" started the eternal. It came out a little too meekly for her taste. The only experience with cats she had was Tomlin and Kallichore hadn't seen him for a while. "Are you *********? I'd like to speak with you if that's alright. I brought you some cake." Ah, duh, it's too high up. Kallichore mentally kicked herself. Just because being an eternal gave her the ability to leap several stories in the air didn't mean other people had that same advantage. Cats didn't even get the option of jet packs or ladders. "...I can take you up there. Sorry."

One more decent thump against the metallic lid, and the cat turned towards a voice that had been clearly addressing her. Clearly an eternal senshi, and with only a momentary glance, she knew the senshi's name was Kallichore. There were advantages to being a guardian at times.
"Goodness... I must have some sort of reputation if you are just meeting me for the first time and offering me cake, Kallichore!" She chuckled a bit. If she were more concerned about her feline-figure, maybe she would have taken that as a hint she should cut down on the sweets, or food in general. However, she wasn't exactly the most vain creature out there.
Hopping back down to the ground, she made her way towards the senshi's ankles and mewled up at her. "I'd appreciate if I could hitch a ride... we can chat once we get there!"

"Ah, well..." The eternal seemed a bit more flustered than usual. "Truth be told, I asked around and several people insisted you had a thing for cake, so naturally..."
Reaching down, she scooped up the manx as carefully as she could and bounded up to the rooftop where the plate of cake lay waiting. "I hope you don't mind that I track you down like this. I didn't know how else to contact you. ...and I could use your help." Before starting in on her mission, she wanted to at least let the manx reap her reward and eat her cake. Kallichore took up her position nearby and watched the city while the cake enjoyed herself.
When she found an opportunity to speak, Kallichore nodded to herself. "I'm on a mission... and I can't do this alone. I have information I'd like to transmit to all senshi across the cell phone network, but I don't know how to do that." Her fingers intermingled with one another as she looked down at them. "...a long time ago, I made it my mission to create a manual - a primer - for the purpose of education. Like my collected information in an encyclopedia. I've remade it to be helpful to newbies. People who haven't been awakened long or people who have lost their way."
Turning to face *********, Kallichore tilted her head. "....do you think you could help me, *********?"

She was already scooped up and the cat mentioned "Well, truth be told, I just like food in general... I actually am not very fussy..." Cakes were nice, but so many other foods were too. She had still yet to find a food she didn't like.
Once set upon the ledge to go retrieve her bribe, the manx easily made her way over, commenting "Well... it isn't like I have a Cat-signal or anything... I mean, if I had met you before, I could have easily contacted you... but you know... another story for another time!" With that, the cat proceeded to attack the cake with her face.
As the manx was stuffing her face, she did keep both ears perked up. She was able to eat and listen, that's how good she was! It was excellent to hear about a senshi who was trying to reach out to the less experienced members of the faction.
Once asked for her help, the feline pulled her maw away from her cakey treat, finished chewing and swallowed her current mouthful before asking "Might I ask what it is you think I could assist with?"

Kallichore mentally noted the cat's general food preferences for another time.
Right down to business. The eternal appreciated that sort of thing. Kallichore cleared her throat. "I'm having problems with the execution," she began, starting a slow pace back and forth across the rooftop. "Once I can finalize the database with another person that's helping me, I have no idea how to upload the information." She looked the ********* and tilted her head. "And on top of that, I have no idea how to transmit that sort of thing continually across the cell network."
Hands behind her back, she came to a stop. "...but cats are the ones who know who will be awakened next. No one else can do that. Is there any way to continue the transmission when a senshi is given a new cellphone? Or is that sort of thing not possible?" Really, she figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

"Hmmmmmm...." was the sound that escaped the animal as she perked up from her snacking. Her face was covered in dark crumbs.
She tilted her head a bit, sincerely thinking up the possibilities.
"So... question time for you Kallichore..." she said before licking up a couple stray crumbs from her face.
"Where are you storing this data at the moment? I mean, it sounds like a lot of information... but where are you keeping it at the moment? Flash drive, CD, piece of notebook paper?"

The eternal blushed a bit and turned away. Technology wasn't her strong point.
"For the moment it's on traditional pen-and-paper." she explained, folding her arms in her long sleeves. "Oberon is helping me compile into a database, somehow searchable like an encyclopedia, but I have no idea what format it will end up in. Whatever's compatible with the cellphones, I suppose. Flash drive in the end if I need to give it to someone."
She turned around and found a nice spot on the ledge to sit and cross her legs. "To be honest, technology isn't my thing but I'm quite thankful others like you and Oberon are willing to help. I wouldn't know where to go from here otherwise. Thank you."

With the explanations going on, ********* was using this time wisely by stuffing her mouth full of more cake. She was a professional piggy who knew how to listen!
When she got the chance to speak up again, she did, but not before licking up a small bit of frosting that got onto her nose. "Well... I think it would probably be easier if I were to just get papers... like... organized... but like papers with the information. The problem with getting a flash drive is that I'd have to probably reformat whatever information is on there, so it would be easier for me if I just had to enter things in correctly the first time than reformat and reenter..." The senshi phones weren't Earth tech, so where there might have been similarities, there were intricacies to them which only a Mauvian could comprehend.
As the girl confessed her own insecurities about the process, the manx stood herself up to all four paws. "Well... one of my two main duties is to serve... so... think of it as me doing my duty!" With that, she lowered her upper body for a cordial feline bow of sorts.

Kallichore looked at ********* as though she were speaking an entirely different language. When the cat was finished, the eternal swallowed a lump in her throat. How was she supposed to react to all that... technological stuff? So Oberon's making it into a database wouldn't be helpful? Hmm. Either way, Kallichore could store it on her own cellphone for editing later, so it wouldn't be wasted at all.
Either way, ********* would know best.
Her bow made Kallichore slightly embarrassed. "Shouldn't... I be the one bowing to you? I mean, without a cat's help, this would never come to fruition." Returning the bow to the cat seemed like the right thing to do, and so she did. "Thank you for your help, *********. Shall I contact you again once I've gathered everything together? And how should I do that?"

********* had a light, airy sort of laughter, and soon enough it was filling up the air after Kallichore bowed right back. "Goodness, I don't know if I am so adjusted to manners of all things!" Standing herself back up to her full height.
"Hmmmm... how about... I send you a text on your senshi phone in the near future and we can organize stuff then?" She might have been a cat, but she was a talking cat. Texting just didn't seem all that bizarre in consideration to all the other things the Mauvians could do.
With that, the manx trotted back to her cake. Before she took another large bite out of her prize, she asked "So... which bakery did you get this one from?"

Kallichore was relieved to know ********* had a sense of humor and appreciated good manners. Who did she hang around with that didn't thank her for the hard work she did? How bizarre.
"A text sounds perfect, *********. I'll be organizing everything until then."
At the thought of the origin of the cake, Kallichore blushed slightly. "I ah... made that one, actually. I hope it's not too dry. I'm a decent baker but... discerning tastes are discerning tastes. If you'd like another one when we meet again, that can be arranged." She looked down the street and frowned. "Or I could always accidentally pry open the window at the bakery down the street if that's more preferable."

The manx tsked slightly between chews from her gradually diminishing treat. "No... you won't accidentally pry open any windows. I would never ask someone to do something like that." Her fur puffed up for a moment before calming down after stuffing her cheeks with more cake.
"Pwub... ho'may ff behuh!" (Loose translation: "Plus, homemade is better!")
Something that resembled a purr escaped her before she went to stuffing even MORE cake into her cheeks. At this point she pretty much looked like a squirrel.

Right. ********* didn't like rule breakers.
Good thing to remember for the future.
"I will begin work immediately, then. Thank you, *********, for your help. I'm sure it won't take me long to finalize everything and present it to you." Leaping up onto the ledge of the building, she bowed again. "I'm sure we'll be in touch soon. Have a good evening."
Leaping off, Kallichore disappeared into the night.
