 "There's so much to see!" Faroth droned on, hooves nearly silent on the forest floor except for the soft crunching of fallen leaves. "There's the forest, of course, where we are now...and the lake, the beach, even the mountains up north! Though, I've not really explored those much yet, but still, they're pretty, even from a distance," he called back over his shoulder to the striped female faun with a grin. Girls liked pretty things, right?
Through the trees, an unfamiliar, but not unpleasant sound caught his ear. With a flick of one ear, he turned towards the sound. Music? And voices talking from the sound of it. Interesting. "Hmm...seems something is going on. Wanna' see what it is, Chika?" "That sounds really cool~" She grinned. The female liked the thought of a nice night out with Faroth. He was a great guy, and an even better friend. She wondered vaguely what exactly where they were going. He had to have something planned if he'd asked her out like this. She blinked, wide brown eyes turning towards the sounds. "Lets go look~ It sounds like someone is having a lot of fun out there." Her grin widened into a smile as she jumped a bit in that general directionFaroth chuckled, her eagerness contagious. "Off we go, then!" The sight before them was nothing less than astounding. Little Avalon fae zipped everywhere, food and drink was plentiful, and happy-sounding music was coming from somewhere in the clearing. "It's a party!" he announced, likely unnecessarily. He hadn't been to one of these in a while! Last one he remembered...oh wait...his expression sobered, but only a bit. He had gotten Raina out of that, but still... He cleared his throat, grabbed Chika's hand, and pulled her towards the refreshment table. "Let's see what there is to eat!""It's amazing!" Chika was shocked, she'd never been to a party on the isle. She had been to one or two before following Artemis here. The female had even forgotten about the wolf following Faroth faithfully. Chika was almost jealous of the loyalty there. "Oh!" She giggled as the other dragged her to the refreshments. "There's so much here! Are they expecting the whole herd?" Chika's eyes swept over everything. She was overwhelmed by it all. Finally she found this odd brown bottle... "Faroth, what is this?"The faun blinked, staring at the bottle in Chika's hand. "Don't know. Something to drink, I'd guess. There certainly seems to be a lot of that here, and food over there," he gestured. He'd just been eyeing a large bowl; looked like some sort of fruit juice or something? Smelled sweet anyway. Taking a look around, noting the general festive atmosphere, he shrugged and picked up a cup, ladling some of the drink into it and taking a sip. Yes, it was sweet, but it had an odd kick to it. He liked it. "Hey, Chika! You gotta' try this!" he grinned, reaching for a second cup for her. Behind the two faun, an exasperated-looking wolf followed along, rolling her eyes at the two and looking more longingly towards the table of food."We should try everything~" She grinned, more than happy to share bits with Raina. Chika was in the middle of stuffing something odd looking into her mouth when Faroth offered her a cup of berry juice. "Oooh, it smells yummy." She sniffed it, having tried to clear the embarassment off her face when he'd caught her in the food so red handed. "Raina, are you hungry?" She asked, looking at the poor thing. Looked starving to her, but she couldn't be sure. The brown female took a drink of the berry juice, blinked, looked down at it, and blinked once more. It had a... Different kind of flavor to it? She liked it though. "This is good Faroth. I didn't know berries could taste this good."Faroth finished tipping back his own cup of juice before answering with a grin. "I know, right? 'S good!" He chuckled, eyeing the food table before picking up a few select treats and 'sneaking' them to Raina. "Cheer up, puppy! It's a party!" He giggled again, missing the odd look Raina was giving him Puppy? What in the world was he going on about? Silly bonded. What did she care, she had food now.
Meanwhile, Faroth had poured another cup of fruit juice and was looking over some of the other drinks Chika had pointed out. "Wonder what these all are? Think they taste as good as this?" he asked, holding up the cup of juice.Well, if he was going to drink it that quickly, what was the point in holding back on her own? Chika downed her own cup and went to fill it. "I bet they do all taste just as good. Why don't we try them?" She offered, joining him at the table with the bottles. "Like... This one~" She grinned, picking up a harmless looking bottle.Two could play that game! "Okay, then I'm taking this one too," Faroth stated, claiming a dark blue bottle with dark liquid inside. Having claimed several drinks, the faun headed towards a fallen log and took a seat. Others might want to go get drinks too afterall, and he didn't want to be in the way. Raina, meanwhile, had taken her ill-gotten goods and curled up beneath the table to eat. Faroth chuckled, waving Chika over to join him for their drink-tasting.She grinned, joining him on the log with her own set of bottles. It wasn't long before she had drained all of the bottles of strange liquid that she had claimed and then some. They were laying around her hooves, and she was just giggling over something. "Fa-faaaath~" hehe, she grinned, looking up at him. "Faa-*hic*-Faath~"Faroth glanced over, unable to keep a loopy grin off his face. Gosh, she was cute when she smiled like that; he liked the way her eyes just sparkled. Like stars. Or fireflies. Or...other shiny, sparkly things. "Eeehn?" Wait, he'd planned to say something cooler than that.
Raina had made her rounds of the party, learning along the way that this was a celebration for all the Isle's Pae'il, being thrown by the little fae things that lived everywhere. That was nice. She'd been content to wander about exploring the gathering on her own, until she started feeling light-headed. That's when she started to worry about her bonded. Stumbling over her paws from time to time, Raina shook her head and managed to make it back to the fauns, who seemed happily sprawled on the ground, leaning against a fallen log.

Chika kept giggling. She liked the way his name sounded on her lips. "Faaaaath~ Those drinksh where gewd" The striped female closed her eyes, squeaking when Raina joined the two. "Fuzzeh" Her hand reached out to try and pet the wolf. Whatever was in those drinks, she thought it was pretty fun now.
Snickering, Faroth followed her gaze. "Puppy's back," he slurred, reaching out to clumsily scratch Raina's ears. The wolf shook her head, whether to clear it or escape the faun, who knew? She took a few steps back, then fell on her bum, swaying a bit. The wolf now out of reach, Faroth pouted, looking at Chika. Then, a brilliant realization occurred as he shoved his hair out of his face. Grinning, he announced, leaning on his hands towards Chika, "Heeeey! Ah'm fuzzeh too! And so're you!" He giggled, pleased with his moment of genius.
She laughed, rubbing his chest. "Vurrrray fuzzeh~" Chika slurred, blinking some of the hair out of her face. His chest was fuzzy, maybe not as much as the puppy, but still fuzzy. She liked it. "Am fuzzeh toooooo?" Chika looked up at him, curious.
Faroth,chuckled, starting to brush the hair out of her face, then paused, wondering if this was one of those things you didn't do. You didn't tell girls they were fuzzy...did you? Even if they were? "Uhhh...a liddle? In a good way?" he grinned sheepishly, then flopped back on the ground beside her, leaned back against the log. With a mischievous grin, he ruffled her hair, tousling it in all directions.
She giggled, leaning into his hand. "Sank yoooooo~" Chika giggled, leaning against him. He was warm too. Warm and fuzzy. Warm, fuzzy, and silver. He kept getting better as the night went on. "Hehehe~ Faath, why so warm?" The brown striped girl looked up, goofy grin plastered onto her face.
"I 'unno," he muttered, puzzled. The nights had been seeming cooler as of late, but right now, he was toasty warm. More so now that Chika was leaning into his side. Not that he was complaining. She was comfy. He was comfy. Everybody was comfy! He draped an arm casually around her shoulders so she could lean into his side. "Yer warm too," he observed sagely. He looked around at the festive atmosphere again, smiling. "Thisus a nice party."
"And soft." She giggled, nuzzling his armpit. Okay, maybe that was a bad idea.. Snickering, she moved her head to rest on his chest. It gave a good view of the party. It was pretty good too. Almost as good as the one that Belvah lady threw when she married the cheiftan. "Yush, good paarty~"
Snuggling with Chika was nice. Warm, comfortable...nice. Faroth had curled up with Raina for warmth on cool nights before, but this was different. He didn't know why. Just...different. However, the thought of Raina again brought a different idea with it. Without another moment's thought, he leaned down and licked the side of Chika's face. Grinning, he leaned back again, explaining, "Fluffy puppy kisses!"
Chika blinked, looking up at him. "Fluffy puppy kisses!" She grinned, licking his nose in return. "I like fluffy puppy kisses." Chika blushed, only to turn her attention to Raina. She was a puppy right? The brown female tilted over, looking for the wolf to give her a puppy kiss too.
Nearby, the wolf was sprawled and snoring softly. Apparently, Raina had had a run-in with some small children who decided that the 'puppy' needed to play dress-up as well. Apparently, the bright pink bow didn't bother her that much at the moment, given how soundly she was out.
Faroth wrinkled his nose, giggling to himself at the 'kiss', and paying no attention whatsoever to his sleeping familiar. When Chika started to lean away, however, looking for Raina, that's when he objected. "Hey! Come back 'ere!" he chuckled, pulling the female Faun back to his side and snuggling against her warmly.
Chika giggled, leaning into Faroth. "Why you~" He was making her grin. Soft an warm. "Wazzat?" Her head tilted to the side, watching him spin but stay completely still at the same time. Her finger was pointed roughly around his chest fur. She knew what it was, but something was different about his chest than hers.
Faroth blinked a few times, then followed where she was pointing. "Wazz....what?" he slurred, puzzled by what it was she apparently saw that he didn't. His own head tilted to the side, grinning despite his confusion in amusement.
"Yer chesssst" Instead of pointing. her hand flattened out on him. "Is so smoooooth~" She giggled, looking up at him with her best efforts. "Oooh, fluffy puppy kisses" Chika slurred, leaning up to lick his nose again.
No idea what she was giggling at, Faroth laughed too. Everything was hilarious tonight! He was in a great mood, surrounded by comforting warmth, and felt as if he was floating through life. Seized by another new urge, he leaned in as well, meeting Chika halfway for a normal Pae kiss.
Blink blink.. Well this was new. She blushed, pressing into the lip thingy they were doing. It felt niniiiice. Much better than anything she'd experienced that night so far. After a moment, Chika pulled back, wide brown eyes looking up at him. "What was dat?"
Faroth grinned, feeling flushed. "'S a Pae kiss, 'stead of a puppy kiss!" Laughing again, he pulled Chika into a big hug and slurred, "Ah like you, Chika!"
She blinked, blushing big time. "I like you tooooooo" Chika whispered. looking anywhere she could. For some reason she was embarassed to look him in the face. It wasn't anything she was used to. Even liking someone was new to her. She blushed more, or was that just the funny drinks they'd had?
Faroth chuckled, a bit flushed himself. When Chika no longer met his gaze, he grinned and kissed her forehead. Then, without warning, he laughed again and rolled the pair of them deeper into the shadows at the edge of the party.

The next morning... Faroth came to slowly, realizing that he was lying on the forest floor. Mostly because there was a twig poking him in the cheek. Sighing, he moved semi-reluctantly to shove the twig away using as little energy as possible. He wanted to go back to sleep. His head was all fuzzy and he felt horrible.
...fuzzy.
Why did that word create a strange feeling in his gut?
Ah well.
Yawning, he rolled over, ignoring the prodding of another twig as he covered his head with his arm and tried to go back to sleep.

Chika groaned a bit as the sun started shining on her face. She grumped a bit when something made her head move. What was moving her? "nnnn..." The brown one grumbled, putting her head back where it had been.
Something felt off.. Just off.. Scrunching up her face a bit, Chika whined and tried to bury her face in whatever it was she was laying on. Something fuzzy and warm. Whatever it was, she liked it. It was nicer than that pounding noise around them...
"Hrk!" Her eyes shot open, hand clamping down over her mouth. Something wasn't right! One way or another, whatever had been inside her stomach wasn't staying there any more. Stupid drinks, making her sick. Never again, Chika vowed, never again.

Faroth hadn't woken up alone in a long time, so the sounds of someone else nearby weren't alarming. Likely just Raina, from all the grumbling and whining. He let her lay against him, but when she moved suddenly, he became a bit more alert.
Wait...that wasn't Raina.
He could feel Raina's presence nearby, but not immediately. She was some distance away. So who was...?
An alarming sound finally jerked him completely from any chance of getting back to sleep. Despite his body's protest, he opened his eyes and tried to sit up and look around. Some leaves falling from his hair, he squinted about to notice a stripey Faun nearby, huddled over. "Chika?"

Chika groaned, clutching her stomach as it attempted to claw it's way out of her throat. After a moment however, it seemed she was done with this. Ugh, her head hurt, her tummy was upset, and she could swear it felt like her hips were broken. Why did this day seem so horrible?
With a grumble, the brown female turned around to look at Faroth.. Oh it was him she'd been sleeping on. That was... A shock. He hadn't stayed the night with her before.. "Hnnn?" She pressed a hand to her right temple, looking at him. Maybe he knew why this day was turning out bad

Faroth blinked, blowing a leaf from his nose where it tried to fall, then rubbing the tickling sensation away. Oh, right, Chika. He looked to the female Faun, concern touching his features despite his own discomfort. "Err...are you okay?" he asked, reaching up to try and comb his fingers through his disheveled hair.
Obviously, she wasn't.
The Faun finally managed to sit upright, groaning and rubbing his head as well. Why did everything hurt? And he had a funny taste in his mouth. And it was dry. He could use something to drink. Water would do...if there was any around here. Wherever 'here' was. "Hey, where are we anyway?" he muttered, half to himself.

"Water..." She mouthed, rubbing her throat. The female hadn't realized she was facing away from him. It didn't matter much anyways, she had no idea where to find it.
"Nnnn.. Party?" Chika turned to look for Faroth.. She was trying to answer his question. Last thing she remembered was the party and those funny drinks they'd had. "We were at the party..." Only guardians knew where that had been held.
With a groan, Chika seated herself next to the other and proceeded to hold her head. Even the crickets were starting to make her head pound.

Water; water was a good idea. As she seated herself next to him, Faroth reached out to rub Chika's back. It had always been soothing when he was a child, so he figured it should work now if she wasn't feeling well. Not that he was exactly perfect either. "Yeah, party, drinks, music, I remember," he agreed, nodding...then he stopped, cause it hurt.
Curious all of a sudden, he carefully looked around, craning his neck as if it would help him see further. "Wonder where Raina got off to...?"

She leaned into his touch a little. It felt a lot nicer than anything she was feeling right that morning. What the hell had they done to make everything feel this horrible? "What makes this feeling?" Chika groaned, trying to look up at him without letting everything around them swirl into crazy little blurs.
Raina... Oh that's right. Where was the fluffy puppy? "Near by?"

"I 'unno," Faroth admitted, resisting the urge to shrug or shake his head, knowing the latter especially was a bad idea at the moment. He continued to rub Chika's back though. "But my head feels like someone beat it on a rock. I guess you're feeling about the same?"
He stopped trying to look around for Raina, focusing on their connection instead. "She's somewhere near, yeah. I can sense her. Just not where exactly...ugh, my head," he grumbled, reaching up with his free hand to massage his temple.
Not far away, the spirit wolf was awakening as well. This was unusual...normally she didn't sleep so deeply, nor feel so awful upon waking...what had her bonded done this time?!? Obviously, whatever was going on was all his fault. It usually w--
Her internal rant was interrupted by an unfortunate discovery. What the heck was this stupid thing on her neck?!? Growling, the wolf fumbled with her paws to pull the thing far enough away from her neck that she could grab it in her teeth and tear it away. The knotted bow put up a bit of a fight, but she managed to rip it off with some effort...and a lot of head-pounding as she shook her head. Still, victory over the frilly device!
Freed of her frilly prison, the wolf whined, pawing at her head in vain before setting off to seek out her idiot bonded to see what he'd gotten them into this time.

"Ye-yeah.. My head feels all crazy right now..." She rubbed her head, finally focusing on him. "Everything is all achy from my waist down too..." Did that berry juice make her go do the splits or something? Her waist never hurt that much before.
Oooh, Raina was nearby. Chika mustered a smile, leaning up to kiss his forehead. "If she's awake I'm sure she'll find you soon Faroth." She would have nodded if everything hadn't been spinning like crazy already. Still, Chika couldn't help but wonder how the fluffy one was doing. She hoped Raina wasn't in as bad a shape as Faroth and her were

Achy? Faroth wasn't quite sure what to make of that, exactly. He scratched his head, then attempted to comb his wayward hair back into some semblance of order, hiding his blush at her kiss. "Hmm...not sure about that?" he admitted, shrugging. "How about we try to get up, see if we can find some water or something nearby? Hopefully Raina will catch up soon..." He fell quiet, closing his eyes for a minute as if in concentration. "She's not far. Heading this way," he confirmed, then tried to climb to his hooves. He had reasonable success, and offered Chika a hand to do the same.
Raina was grumbling to herself as she padded along. Her head hurt. Why did her head hurt so much? Stupid bonded. What had he done this time? It certainly wasn't anything she had done. She knew that much. Darn kids and their silly frilly things, tying crap onto her while she slept.
She was grumpy, more so than usual for a morning, but she was in pain and she had a right to be. Especially if this was not of her doing. Tuning in on her idiot bonded again, she altered her direction slightly and continued on until she finally found the pair of fauns a short distance into the forest.

"Maybe water will make our heads feel better?" She grunted, taking his hand to get herself onto her hooves. Yeah, this walking thing was sooo not going to be fun. Rubbing her bum a bit, Chika looked around. If Raina was headed this way, least they could do would be to wait for her right?
"Oh! I think I see her." Chika grinned a bit, wincing as it made her head twitch wrong. Oh for the love of all that was holy, she was NEVER going to drink berry juice again. "Hi Fluffy Puppy." The female waved to Raina. "Lets go get some water?" Her head tilted a bit, flicking her tail a bit.
