Willow vs Vitesse

Rolled a two: Rock field: Tremors ripple forth from center-field as the basic floor shifts to a rock and dirt field. Rock towers emerge forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an advantageous attack position. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirs the loose sand on the field, creating a mini sandstorm that reduces visibility. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ROCK type attacks. This field reduces FIRE type attacks by 25 HP.

Kytti and her Deerling entered the arena and grimaced at the mini sandstorm.
"Let's be careful and have a great battle," Kytti told her pokemon happily while she took her spot on the trainer box.
Willow bounded down to the arena and settled in for the incoming battle.

Charlotte entered the stadium with Vitesse by her side. "Aw dang, this isn't the one for you, boy..." she said with a sigh. "Oh well, I'm sure you'll do well regardless!"
Taking his place in front of his opponent, Vitesse grumbled. He was not going to enjoy all this dust getting on him...

"Let's start this off with a Sand Attack!" Kytti cheered.
Willow charged towards the pokemon and skidded up a wall of dirt and watched it arc towards the pokemon.

Vitesse screamed as sand got into his eyes. His face, his beautiful face! He certainly wasn't going to have any of that - without waiting for a command, he charged at the Deerling, flames engulfing his body.
"Err, yeah! You use that Flare Blitz attack!" Charlotte smiled nervously. "We planned that all along, eheh! Oh, what a hothead..."

Willow was hit hard from the fire attack. She regained her footing and charged in, skidded up a cloud of sand, and hoped it would arc towards the opponent. She bleated happily as she watched the sand fly.

More sand caused Vitesse to growl in pain. He wasn't going to have any of that! He charged again at Willow, hoping to burn her up before she could keep messing up his gorgeous coat.

The fire slammed into Willow, and again she regained her footing. She raced towards the pokemon and skid up another shaft of dirt and watched it arc towards the Rapidash.

Vitesse was getting sick of all this sand messing up his looks. "How dare you try to defile me, you common filth!" he shouted at her. He leaped up into the air and came crashing down towards Willow.
"Oh Vitesse, you better not be acting like a jerk..." Charlotte sighed.

Willow was struck by the bouncing pokemon and rolled to the side. She again charged in and struck with a wall of sand.
"Good job Girl!" Kytti cheered.

After getting hit by another wave of sand, Vitesse screamed at his opponent. "Don't you know any other attacks, or are you just that stupid?!" Clearly, he was getting frustrated, and could only resort to petty insults.
"Vitesse, stop sounding all angry!" Charlotte yelled. "Use Bounce again, it seemed to work better!"
Leaping up into the air, the Rapidash attempted to squash his opponent.

Hit by the bouncing pokemon, Willow replied to the Rapidash, "I do, but why mess with something that works?"
She ran forward and caused another blast of sand to erupt towards the pokemon.

Vitesse stepped back due to the force of the sand, and then shook it off his fur. "Hmph... I guess you and I have the same strategy, then!" With that, he bounded upwards once more for another attack.

Willow rolled out of the way and watched the pokemon bounce away from her. She again charged for the pokemon and sent up a wall of sand.
