Chionesu blinked his eyes once more as he stared at the water. He certainly wasn't staring at it to make it move or anything, but he needed something to look at while he was thinking, and the watering hole was perfect to do so.
The temperatures were mild, not too hot or cold, but if one sniffed closely they could smell rain on the horizon, though whether it would hit or miss this spot, one couldn't tell. The leopard changed his position again, switching sides on which to rest on while he contemplated what it was that he wanted to do. Joining a pride had been on his mind as of late, but he had not yet heard of one that fit his nature.

Zsaru blinked her eyes open and raised her head. Squinting towards the sun, she determined she'd only been asleep for an hour or so. Rising to her feet, she arched her back in a luxurious stretch and let loose an enormous yawn, then she sat back down and groomed her sleep-ruffled fur back into place. When she had finished grooming, she stood, stretched her out her hind legs and jumped down from her sun-warmed stone with the idea of heading to the watering hole nearby and grabbing a quick drink before going hunting.
As Zsaru padded towards the watering hole, her belly growled, reminding her that she was hungry enough to eat an entire hare! Mmm, hare. She licked her lips at the thought and quickened her pace, trying to get her drink and get to hunting as quick as possible. A few tail-lengths from the water she stopped dead, scenting the air. Someone was there, someone she had never scented before. She had met many other rogues in her life, so she fairly certain that who she smelled was a leopard, but his scent was unfamiliar. She continued towards the water more cautiously now, belly fur brushing the ground as she crouched, looking in the direction of the scent and trying to catch a glimpse of this stranger.
A few paw steps later, and the leopard came into view. He was big; a black-and-white beast with unique spots that Zsaru found to be quite pretty. He was just lying there, and he definitely didn't look dangerous. She slid out of her cover, her muscles still bunched to run and her ears trained on the leopard for any sign of movement, and headed to the water, bending her head to drink and pretending not to take any notice of the leopard.(Sorry it took me so long to reply; I got caught up at my mom's house watching movies. XD wink

((it's no problem)) Chionesu snapped out of his trance once he heard movement nearby. Looking around he spotted a small creature. He hadn't seen anything like it before, but had heard about small cat-like creatures called "servals". Perhaps this was one of them. Turning his head back to the water he wondered if he should ask to satisfy his curiosity or just to observe her without interference.
Almost sighing he turned his head back to the creature to watch it. He knew he was staring and that most creatures didn't appreciate it, but he was never one to miss an opportunity of learning something new.

As Zsaru continued to lap up water, the fur on her spine lifted; shifting her gaze to look out of the corner of her eye she saw the leopard openly staring at her. Returning her gaze to the water, she laid her ears back with irritation. While the leopard genuinely seemed curious - and not aggressive at all - she figured it would still be best not to snap at something more than twice her size.
She paused in her drinking, and without shifting in the slightest calmly asked, "Do I have something stuck in my fur?"
While the question was meant to be sarcastic in the hopes that the leopard would be a little less creepy, Zsaru used the sweetest voice she could muster; the tone was so sweet that she almost gagged on it. Continuing to lap, she could still feel the leopard's eyes on her and she couldn't help it as the tip of her tail twitched once. Zsaru wasn't normally anti-social when it came to adults - or really anything mature enough to not be overly loud or rambunctious - but the leopard wasn't exactly being social. He was just being weird. She continued to lap up the water as if nothing out of the ordinary were happening while she waited for his response.SSBrosB Just a friendly reminder poke, since it's been several months. c:
