He was busy trying to set his own skellyphone's ringtone to a howl. A nice howl. Not the wolf call that it came pre-loaded with. Really, it was crass and quite vulgar in his opinion. He was close to actually completely getting it done and set when he noticed her again. Some reaper ghoul wandering person after person, all on their phones. It was funny at first but he assumed nothing of it. Now?

Now he was just slightly worried for her. She was acting a bit lost and confused but he didn't know why she didn't just ask someone not on their phones. Did she need to use one yet not know how to ask? Well, some people were very personal with their skellyphones. Her outfit didn't get a large glance so much as her feet. Even he wore shoes, (minipets...). "Miss?" He walked over, holding out his own skellyphone. Light blue flip phone, nothing fancy. "Do you need to make a call?"

Telewhat? It was a skellyphone. He- okay it was a portable phone he didn’t know about when he’d arrived he could not judge her too harshly, (or rather at all). “I am not sure how they came to be so small, and as far as I know, they only need to be plugged in to charge the battery. Otherwise its cordless.” He gave a shrug, considering it an everyday thing. It was a bit… reminiscent in a way how he’d been months past. Now the device just was another part of life. If, he’d admit, a part he still struggled with.

“It’s alright. When I’m from we don’t even have phones so-“he waved a hand in the air before rubbing the back of his neck, “-I know the feeling a bit. When I first came I wasn’t quite sure what they even were. And no, it’s not impolite. You’re just new is all. We all have our moments. It’s nice to meet you Miss Scythe.” He paused. He knew that name. Somewhere. Ah well. Bowing to her curtsy, Frost extended his hand as well. “Frost in the Storm. But on the phones- do you have one yet? I ah.. assume not. But here it’s… nearly impossible to get away without one.”

A small nod from the wolfos. Been there- still there in part. "Learning is a part of life. Its why many of us come here after all!" He could understand as she explained. It made sense that if something was rare that it be used only for the most important of things like business. Whiskey and chocolate- "I have not partaken of whiskey either, but chocolate- Perhaps you will have to tell me what to get then?" He laughed holding out his own phone.

"It's like... learning a great many things. You get basic instructions, but there are a number of things no one tells you. Like how to change the image in the background." He scowled at the generic pumpkin background on his phone. He'd been unable to change it for months.

"But I wouldn't mind in the slightest. Do you have a phone or?" She assumed not.

No phone- “Then first we ought to get you one. A pay as you go phone is good to start with. If you use it a lot and have an income, getting one with a plan is good. But starting out- pay as you go. Mush easier. Plus no contracts.” He started much the same. It was just.. easier. Plus he’d broken quite a few starting out. “And yes.. in theory.” He didn’t know… yet. “We can call up my friend Gene. She usually doesn’t mind. But- circular? What do you mean? Most phones I have seen are rectangles.” Maybe she had an older model? He had no idea. Phones- didn’t come in circles!

He had no idea how what she was explaining worked, but he'd take her word that it existed and it worked. "It's alright. I take it the common tongue is not your native?" He kept using words he didn't know. But then, he only knew 'common' due to his position. Wolfos and hylian was complex in itself, what with the various forms. "There are cheap options. Some costing as little as one seed a phone call. But- the trade off is you can't give messages or do much else but give calls and get calls. And most students-" He phone binged. Another text.

"Message. Its like letters but electronic and short? I'm not sure if that makes sense. If you dont want to call back asking for money, playing for money, there might be a place or two hiring. It's not hard to get work for those of us without nearby relatives. I-" Taking the phone he began to type the number for Gene in before-

Crack.

"No."

His claw had done it again, digging into the soft keys. "Again. Jack-" his curse came up short as he growled at his phone. He'd been doing so well too.

"Most jobs require you have a phone for contact info. I-" He looked at the broken device in hand. "I'm just glad my number will transfer. It's a pain when they don't. But ah-" She probably had no idea what he was talking about. "Yes, lets get some phones." Flicking his tail the wolfos nodded towards the city. "I am sure they will have something for you, and myself as well. Just glad I have warranty still." He muttered to himself.

Pocketing his phone the wolfos held out his arm. "Do you have any particular style of phone in mind?"

He didn't mind explaining but by the third time he was wondering if he was making any sense. He wasn't used to needing to repeat himself. Still they made it to the maul and the phone store quickly enough. Thank jack that he at least had mastered public transit. While Terra admired the colors, Frost was looking more towards the ones that were for his cell plan and that looked less... breakable.

Ears flicked as she seemed to be taken aback by the number of color options. "You can get customs cases as well that you design for some as well. They cost an arm and a paw though. Not worth it since if they break... Just another high cost. Basic colors are best. Sometimes they do do limited colors." Looking around he held up a purple and green one. "Toxic? Like this one. It's limited, but costs a bit more."
