Okay, so this is kinda a slice of my life. Really I'm not that big. But I was a ballet/pointe/irish step/hip-hop/jazz dancer for 14 years till I got arthritis in my hip and had to stop suddenly. Pretty much as soon as I stopped dancing I started to 'develop' (....I was 16..a late bloomer) So I thought because I wasn't dancing I just started gaining all this weight. I obviously wasn't happy with it; my whole body just getting rounder. I talked to one of my friends about it just telling her how I missed my old body, my old skinny, muscular body.
To this very day I still miss it, but I love food too, I eat healthy (no fast food, eating out to a restaurant maybe once a month). I've tried exercising in my house since I can't get a car and I live further away but when I'm home, I'm not motivated enough to exercise.. When I'd go to dance, when I had somewhere to go I was motivated.
I guess my major issue with my weight now is just me wanting to be not that little skinny girl I use to be.. I'm ALMOST through trying to be her. But I want to be sculpted, muscular again. Motivation... I will get there!

I also try exercising at home, i'll go through phases of a few weeks were i work really hard on it but then i guess i lose interest/get distracted. It's hard to do exercise at home, when your not really getting any new skills from it or seeing quick results. I guess its just something you have to get dedicated to.

I'm having motivation issues as well. Back when I was exercising regularly, I was keeping this oversized checklist with a reward system set. Basically I bought a really pretty canvas dry erase board and I wrote out daily goals for myself. Exercise x amount of minutes, drink x amount of water, Don't forget to thank God for the little things(helps me keep a positive attitude), etc. etc. And if I completed my checklists every day for six days, Sunday I would reward myself with something small. A lazy day of nothing but gaian role playing and movie watching while munching on my favorites. If I did it for a month, then I'd reward myself with some reckless spending. I'm not really sure why I stopped doing that, but I found my board again, brushed it off, and I'm gonna hang it when I get my room cleaned all nice and purdy.
So basically get a daily checklist. And a buddy wouldn't hurt. If two or more people get together, or even if they do it on their own and just have an agreement that whoever loses the most after so long, or racks up the most exercise time or something, the other buys them lunch. Competition is a great motivator.
