History/Background
Dominik grew up in the wealth community of Munich, though his parents weren't exactly "rich". Eris Alabaster, Dominik's mother, came from a family that was indeed wealthy but their actions on how they received the money was sketchy at best. His father, Maximilian Alabaster, was once a young "co-worker" for Eris' father and knew of the family trade Eris' family dealt with to retain their money income. For blunter terms, the von'Schicksals were a notorious family for black-market trade and Maximilian was a leg-breaker for Erich. Having a soft spot for the daughter of his boss, Maximilian wished to end his life of servitude for Erich and marry Eris to live a better life and he did just that. After having their son Dominik the family seemed like it was going to have their wishes fulfilled, but things took a turn for the worse. Years had passed and Dominik seemed to be a prospering young prodigy. Getting good grades and keeping up with practice on self defense and swordplay. While it seemed Dominik was rising, his mother had fallen with a deathly illness After being hospitalized, the full force of the medical bills took their toll on the family and Maximilian was barely getting by on the payments. Turning back to his step-father, Maximilian begged and pleaded for the money to save his wife's life. Taking the opportunity, Erich gladly gave the money to Maximilian but expressed that it was a loan that would indeed be payed back. After recovering from the illness, Eris was still bed ridden after being weakened and the small family was drowning in dept after paying only a portion of the bills before Erich von'Schicksal stepped in to "save" his daughter. Being caught between what happened, Dominik's mind was in a flustered confusion as to what he should grasp his mind around, but still continued to go to school for his mother's sake. The hospital was only the start of problems, as Eris continued to be bed ridden, as if she was permanently weak from the illness and her body shot. It was only a few months until Eris passed, and her father pinned the blame on Maximilien's negligence. The death impacted Dominik, as he was only 14 at the time and treasured his mother well in his memories. The house was nothing more than a painful reminder of all the memories in which Dominik had his childhood in, and became a desolate husk. A few nights after his mother's funeral, the sound of glass shattering awoke young Dominik. As he walked through the house, he noticed the dining room lights were on and he curiously investigated. "You b*****d!" was heard before Dominik rushed behind cover of a doorway corner that connected the kitchen to the dining room. "The medication was poison!?" That would be the last time he would hear his father's voice before a gunshot. Grabbing a knife off the kitchen counter, Dominik frantically scurried up into his room and hid in the closet. Before long, footsteps neared the door and turned the knob to open the path between the killer and a scared young lad. Staring down at Dominik was the very cause of his family's suffering, his grandfather Erich von'Schicksal. Reaching out a hand, the old man wished to end the torment further and take his daughter's son as his own to raise him to take his place at the top of the von'Schicksal's "business". At this very moment, Dominik's mind had snapped. Thoughts of his family raced through his head and how his whole life spiraled into hell because of this one man that was not his grandfather anymore. This one single being, having taken away so much from his life, stood before him. Before Dominik knew it, the knife just seemed to lunge forward and into the old man's chest. Stricken with rage, fear and despair, Dominik couldn't control his body's movements as he began to slash and stab until there was a bloodied mess upon the floor. What now stood before him was not a body, but a red, floating soul that glowed like a flickering fire. Dominik's body moved on its own, beckoned by the light to reach for it with his hands. Holding onto the soul perplexed him as he began to have the desire to devour it. Before even making a decision, Dominik blacked out and awoke to himself sitting in an alleyway. He viewed his surroundings trying to grasp what happened when he noticed blood covering his hands and splotches on his body, the walls included. Ever since that day, Dominik realized that he must have in fact devoured the soul and became overwhelmed by its evil desires. Forever having the feel of something destructive and overpowering inside his soul, Dominik turned to the DWMA to figure out how to rid himself of this curse or at least prevent its progression. After years of studying upon the soul and how it works, Dominik was able to find a way to protect his soul from becoming engulfed in madness and turning over into a kishin. Because the techniques are relatively basic, he doesn't have perfect and complete control over the darkness that lingers in his soul so it tends to be in conflict with his soul but the madness wavelength that it emits is suppressed only if it has Dominik's attention. The wavelength can and will normally seep out while in combat if Dominik doesn't limit himself, which is why he has trained hard for the past 5 years to keep his soul's identity under wraps while in the DWMA.

Partner
None, and is extremely reluctant to have one because of his soul.

Soul Color
Shaded Gray with Red Swirls creeping from the bottom.

Meister Type
Blade Meister

Abilities
.:The Corrosion:.
Dominik's soul is tainted. The kishin side of his soul constantly tries to overpower his own soul to take over. Because of this, Dominik is always in conflict and has to use a portion of his energy to hold back the evil desires that creep in the shadows of his soul. It takes a great amount of concentration to hold back the corrosion and the kishin side will be held back. Because of this, it can be viewed to be a handicap in battle but that is not always the case. If the corrosion is left unchecked a faint Madness Wavelength can be felt slipping out from inside Dominik's soul. On top of the wavelength, Dominik's combat performance begin to be enhanced. However, the more of the corrosion left alone to spread the more Dominik descends into madness and his rage builds to higher heights. After allowing his soul to be exposed to the corrosion during a fight, the repercussions are reflected on his soul and requires a length of time for his soul to recover equivalent to the amount of time he had spent.

.:Soul Devour:.
Unarmed, Dominik is a lethal threat to souls because of his tainted soul. The desire to eat souls is controlled by the meister, but the power can be tapped into. Using his own soul to reach out during offensive contact with another living being, Dominik's soul compresses it's power into a single strike then reaches out and takes a "bite" out of the opponent's soul upon contact. However, doing this causes Dominik's soul to be vulnerable to the kishin presence that erodes his soul, so this cannot be used in succession. The pain on the victim is spiritually harmful just as it is physically harmful so even though the opponent would block the incoming attack their soul would still be hit. This attack is not fatal, but is extremely damaging if used on a very weakened or small soul.

.:Throw Away the Emotions:.
While being a meister with an odd soul composition, Dominik can use this to his advantage. If while using a weapon he is able to use a attack similar to Witch Hunter, his madness wavelength would leak into the composition of the energy being mustered and cause the attack to be more powerful than normal. Though this is a bonus to damage, this is a serious risk for both Dominik and the weapon that he uses for both get exposed to the Madness Wavelength.

.:God Eater:.
With the fundamentals of his attacks "Throw Away the Emotions" and "Soul Devour", Dominik is able to make his corrosion come into contact with another soul so long as he has physical contact with the opponent. The corrosion latches on and attepts to attack the other soul as if it were Dominik's. Once physical contact is broken, the corrosion retracts back to Dominik and taking a chunk of the enemy's soul with it. This attack cannot be used in succession and cannot be used in succession with Soul Devour. The strain put on Dominik's soul increases since the corrosion amplifies in intensity after doing so (and weapon's if he is using one) but can be dissipated if Throw Away the Emotions is used, causing both Dominik (and his partner) to alleviate some of the Madness Wavelength buildup on their souls. Cooldown:5 posts.

Flaws
Because of his past and soul, Dominik has been very reluctant and hesitant to make friends or even find a partner.
Having very little interaction with others, Dominik is very anti social and keeps to himself on a daily basis.
With having to keep his soul in check, fighting for him is very risky as it could expose his soul to the erosion.

Weaknesses
Having a soul already housing a bit of madness inside, Dominik is easily influenced by Madness Wavelength. To protect his soul further, he must put more concentration into keeping the tainted soul in check, proving to be an extreme handicap in the face of a Kishin.

Letting loose the madness within is even more risky when confronted with Madness Wavelengths because the corrosion spreads faster in his soul making Dominik a liability to loose it in battle and turn on his allies.

Likes
Even though Dominik seems to be very properly mannered, he isn't a big fan of fancy foods or dishes from his homeland. Instead he prefers anything that is quick to eat and easily obtained.
Anything that is kept neat a proper
Being alone when it comes to thinking situations through

Dislikes
The sight of happy families
Obnoxious and loud people
Anyone that disrupts his concentration

Theme Songs
Reject [Main Theme] || Herrscher [The Battle with the Erosion]

Interesting Facts/Trivia
Alabaster: Often translucent mineral that is commonly used for statues. Dominik is very closed off in his personality, but no matter how much he may hide his soul the madness will still be in plain sight.
Eris: Goddess of discord. Kinda felt right as the whole start of the downward spiral of his life begins with his mother and her family.
Herrscher: German for Ruler. The song and the name fitted too perfectly with how this Madness kinda rules over Dominik's life. Read the lyrics and they even describe a conflict.
