(AIM Log between Buffy and I.)
Xandeleigh couldn’t believe it! How dare that little leopard steal her slave away. She snarled and swiped at the sand. How awful! Who had ever heard of a leopard in love? Were they even capable of that? After all, they were lower creatures, and love should be much too complicated for them.
Then again, her brother’s hybrid son…hadn’t he fathered again? That got her thinking. Maybe a cub napping was in order, now that her slave wouldn’t be around to give her what she wanted. On that note, wasn’t there a pride nearby? Maybe she could strike up a deal. Her ‘services’ for a cub here and there. It’s not like she wanted lion cubs, oh no, they wouldn’t make proper servants.
Bonni didn't care one way or the other about hybrids. Before her new love interest, hybrids had been a good source of birth control. But she had dropped that habit whenever Shirou had come into her life. She didn't like that she loved him. No, she was really upset with that. She had thought herself stronger than that. You could be a slave to love, she had heard, and that was just not something she wanted.
Her eyes stared out over the shoreline, a common occurrence in her life. She loved to stare out over the sand. Brushing her thick, wavy mane fluff from her eyes, she allowed herself to relax.
When Xandeleigh found the lioness on the shoreline, she had always turned back. It wasn’t until she got a better look at the other female that she realized who this may very well be. She was very likely either one of those Mermaids she had heard tales about, or a Pirate, and either way it was a bonus for the travelling rogue.
“A beauty such as yourself shouldn’t be left alone.” She stated calmly, in as nice a tone as she could have ever faked. “That is, unless your claws are as sharp as mine.”
Bonni was unafraid of the female that spoke, and she didn't look much surprised either. She was usually being hassled by others mistaking her good looks for weakness. She was a pirate after all!
"Believe me. Your claws are not something I be fearin'." She said neutrally. She was trying to relax after all, and unless she absolutely had to, she wasnt going to get her hackles up.
“Good. Then we can have a conversation without you running away.” She smiled and closed the space between the two of them. “I come off as a bit strong, I know, and that makes it even harder for me to find my way.” Xandeleigh sat down in the sand, and brushed a paw through her blue forelocks.
“You wouldn’t happen to know of any prides nearby, would you? I’m trying to find a relative of mine, and I’m not having much luck.”
She arched an eyebrow, and decided she was rather curious about this one. She came off as one who would try to kill her if she looked away. Yet here she was, talking about conversation. Odd.
"Ye be close to quite a few prides, actually." She said, her accent thick in her voice. She was a pirate, through and through. From the way she talked, down to the way that she walked.
"There be two prides rather close. The Mermaids, and the Pirates." She explained, and watched the lioness sit. So then she decided to do the same, taking a seat for a bit.
How marvelous was that accent? It thrilled Xandeleigh to the bone, and gave her the incentive she needed to really look into what this area had to offer. Not only did it have the potential to give her the war force she needed, but she was curious as to what male company it would hold as well. For, as devious as she was, she couldn’t help thinking of the lions stalking these shores with accents like hers.
“Oh good! I’m on the right trail, then.” She didn’t give any more detail than that. If she did, she would surely trip herself up in her own lies. “Are these two prides, the Pirates and the Mermaids, open to non-lion species?”
She thought about the answer, but realized she didn't know as much as she'd like about the mermaids. No one really did, as they were a mystery to most. A fairy tale that few believed until they really showed their faces.
"I've only heard tales of lioness mermaids. I've never seen males, or other creatures." She said and then chuckled. "But the pirates, they be welcomin' most. That is where the true fun be held." She smiled and thought about how much she loved her life. The life of a pirate..
"The mermaids be more particular with who they be around. We pirates only care about loyalties."
So it was a no go with the Mermaids, but the Pirates…She really couldn’t think of a better place to start her ‘search’. “It must be a great place indeed, to put such a smile on your face.” Xandeleigh grinned. “Do you have family there? A mate, perhaps?” Granted, now she was just being nosy, but wasn’t that how most females were? Didn’t they normally chat amongst each other?
Granted, she’d rather wring the little things neck and move on, but she didn’t really want to kill this one. Unlike most others, this one seemed to have real thoughts in that head of hers.
She arched an eyebrow again, concerned at how invasive the conversation was getting. She was a private lioness, well.. when she hadn't been spending her time among the more pleasurable kinds. But she liked the attention of the males, even if she was mated. But she sighed, and nodded.
"I have family there. Aye." She said, though she wasnt going to share who her father was. That usually only put a target on her back. "And I have a mate. Kind of." She said turning her attention back to the rolling ocean.
"Who is it ye be lookin' for?"
“Kind of? My dear, you either have a mate or you don’t.” She stated bluntly. One either called their sexual pet a ‘mate’ or they left them to die. She stood up and stretched her back, giving a little groan as she did so. It wasn’t easy getting older.
“Oh, I’m sure you don’t know him. I doubt he even made it there.” She smiled, though this time it was more two-faced than anything she had ever displayed. After all, she had her information and this talk was becoming a bore. She needed to move on. “Thank you for your assistance. Someday I hope to repay the favor.”
She was surprised at how quick the conversation went, but she honestly was happy the other was leaving. She was always around so many, that these times she got to get out on her own were times she wanted to be alone.
"I hope ye be findin' what you are lookin' for." She said, and turned stood. She was going to go into the forests. Maybe she could find Oceane', and she could tell her what her future held.
