Personality: Akira is a serious individual with a low tolerance for playing around. One will hardly ever see her crack a smile, even in the lightest of situations. She prefers solitude and keeping to herself; a real downer around others. The young lady also likes the title of defender, protecting the innocent from harm and preserving the peace. Despite her stoic disposition, Kira is surprising violent, especially so towards those who pick on the weak. Turning a blind eye to someone reaching out for help is not an option. With her athletic figure also comes a strong competitive personality where she can't refuse a challenge.However, should she lose, Akira will admit defeat although begrudgingly. Her strongest trait lies in her perseverance and refusal to give in. The evidence is in her everlasting quest to find her sister. Even when told to let it go or her leads go cold, she pursues her goal without falter. From this comes her other traits of being hopeful and stubborn. No one can tell her otherwise, especially when it comes to Reiko. In fact, her sister as well as anyone badmouthing their own is her Berserk Button. Her sole goal then is to maim and seriously injure those involved. Less threatening, any mention of fathers simply puts her in a sour mood.
People Skills: Akira can be impatient with people, especially when she wants something. She isn't one to be kind to people she first meets, but never turns a blind eye to someone in danger. People are kept at arms length but the distance shortens over time.

Halcyon Days
Akira was born and raised in Tokyo, along with her childhood friends, Kyoko and Katsu. They both had a crush on Katsu, causing their friendship to often waver but still remained good friends. Unlike the other girls, Akira acted very tomboyish and got in many fights with boys. Since her father had two girls, she was the closest her father had to a son. She played every physical sport she could in school, track, basketball, swimming and so on. As a daddy's girl, she was enthralled in her father's line of work: police officer, someone who was sworn to protect. Akira took an interest in guns as well and often practiced with water guns since she couldn't have an actual gun. She was very close with her father and aspired to become a police officer as well.During elementary and middle school, she was feared among the guys and was known as Akaiju [Red Giant Beast]. She was the anti-bully or rather, the bully to the bullies. This feared reputation was some what toned down after Kyoko entered high school and matured. With her skills, Kira was one of her schools top athletes and was quite popular among the girls but not so much the guys. Following high school, she joined the police academy to begin her career as a police officer.
This Is War...
The night that changed everything in the young nineteen year old's life was a night like any other with the exception of a new moon. Akira was in the garage, working on her cherished motorcycle. On this particular night, she decided to leave the garage door open, something she normally never did. It was almost like an open invitation to a pair of vampires who barged in and attacked Akira. Sharp claws teared into her stomach and left her as a bloody heap on the floor. These vampires weren't here to feed, no that was apparent when they stepped over the redhead and entered the house. As she laid there helpless, the screams of her family haunted her head as she lost consciousness. Kira awoke, not in her home but in an abandoned building on the outskirts of town. In the dim candle light there didn't appear to be anyone else here. Her injury had been treated with care in addition to a note left nearby. It was from her father, confirming who had tended to her wounds and brought her here. The note explained his leaving and nothing more. She didn't understand what was happening or why. None of it felt real, leaving her in a state of disbelief...until she returned home with police swarming the scene. Akira then understood why she was moved away from her house...
Moving On
A year after all of the questioning and public attention, Akira had achieved her goal of becoming a police officer. Katsu had grown closer to her as well, as he was concerned for her well being. However, her dream job was not how she wanted it to be as she was too concerned with her own case. She hadn't shed a tear since her mother's death nor had she accepted Reiko's potential death. As discreetly as possible, the young officer would collect information and clues to that night, trying to make sense of what happened. How did she survive that vampire attack, why did they attack them and most importantly, what happened to Reiko? Kyoko also seemed to have disappeared around this time and Hisoka was increasingly concerned with her friend's obsession. She and Katsu both agreed that what she needed was closure and decided to stage an intervention at his place. Such a proposition would have made to come over and though hesitant at first, she agreed. After work, Akira would head over to Katsu's, a bit nervous since she'd last spent any alone time with him.
As she arrived, there was a feeling she had; one that reminded her of that night as it was a new moon tonight as well. Approaching the front door, it was discovered to be open and there was an eerie silence that made the young girl feel uneasy. Inside, she would be met with a startling sight; Hisoka, lying on the floor bleeding and unconscious and Kyoko with her arms wrapped around Katsu. On his neck, a bite mark was clearly visible and Kyoko, with striking fangs was the one responsible. She felt her heart sink, her best friend was a vampire and had just turned Katsu into one. But those feeling quickly turned to rage when she explained her reason for doing so was to "make Katsu hers". Despite her struggle, the rookie officer was helpless in fighting off a vampire with her raw strength. In the end, Kyoko decided to spare Kira and fled the home. However, her real plan was to have Katsu who was slowly transforming, kill her instead. He didn't want to be a vampire, feeding off his friends and innocent people. Instead, taking a makeshift stake from the broken furniture, Katsu held the pointed end over his heart and decided to sacrificed himself. Akira had tried her hardest in her weakened state to stop him but to no avail. At last, she had reached her breaking point, screaming and crying to herself. Everything she held dear to her was gone, snuffed out by the vampires and now...she was alone...
Hiro no Okami
Akira continued to lay on the floor of Katsu's apartment, feeling helpless until she noticed Hisoka's movement. Right then and there, her will made her move and get some help. Two weeks passed following the incident, Akira unable to function properly as she remained cooped up in her apartment. She was discharged from the force as she was now a suspect in two murders which only served to make her worse. It wasn't until Hisoka was released from the hospital that the redhead was forced back into society. Eventually, Akira got a new job as a courier, no questions asked and fell back into her old routine. Her "routine" however became more dangerous, arming herself illegally in Japan through connections gained from being a police officer. It became her business hunting and questioning vampires for intel. It was then that she became aware of the war between races, one she got involved in through her actions. Being labeled as Hiro no Okami, vampires began coming after her for her harassment. Akira decided to refrain from returning to the apartment to keep Hisoka safe but had little choice to do so when she was injured. This was her life for the next two years until one night, she learned some information not on her primary objective but on Kyoko. Revenge and hatred filled her heart as she focused on hunting her former friend down. She confronted her in that one abandoned building on the outskirts of town, confident in her ability to defeat vampires so far. Just as her skills had improved, so did Kyoko's and the fight was sure to end the same. The vampire was furious her plan had backfired and was sure to kill Kira this time. But in the moonlight, something triggered in the redhead and gave her an even footing with her former friend. With her new found power, she managed to defeated Kyoko but still could not finish her off. But when she lunged at her in a final desperate attack, Akira had no choice but to put her down. After this, the gunslinger decided to leave Japan for a change of scenery. She joined Revenant, wishing to put an end to the bloodshed and prevent what happened to her, happen to others. Currently, her knowledge of being part lycan is nonexistent and finds her power under the moon to be a blessing.
