Kenny used the sticks to beat the drum. He didn't get it. Gone were his beautiful melodies... replaced with short and choppy noise...He tried the roll into the 4 count. The books said this was the easy part...
It didn't sound right to him. The snare drum sitting in front of him was not helping the matter either. Kennedy had been sitting in the music room for about three hours now... and all he wanted to do was jump back over to his piano. But they needed someone on the drums... And while piano was important he could set his enchanted keyboard to play that part...
He contemplated for a moment that he could probably enchant the drum set... but where was the fun in that. He tried the roll again and obviously failed. He cringed. So drums weren't for him. He set the sticks on the snare with a sigh.

Vidor tended to move silently so it was no surprise that the boy with the drum sticks hadn't heard him enter. He sat down and was going over his notes for violin practice. he would later actually pick up the instrument but for now he would just study.
His made a face though that other kid had no idea what he was doing when it came to the sticking patterns. Vidor had always loved the drums and the backbone it could give to keeping music together so he had studied much more in depth then say a guitar.
Soon Vidor couldn't take it anymore and despite his fear of talking to someone he went up to the other. He hesitated before picking up the sticks. "Y-you were doing it wrong ...its like this." Vidor said rolling out what Kenny had been trying to do with the sticks. "Um...see?"

Kennedy jumped as he saw a hand come into his view. He watched the perfect roll and huffed. Standing away from the drum he started moving in a frustrated manor... "Ok...Thats it..." He was standing between the door and the chair. "Im done... Drums aren't really an instrument..."
Kennedy eyed the boy a moment. "Congrats... your our new drummer... Welcome to our band... Rehearsals are when ever we get the chance... Usually weekends..." He contemplated and nodded. "Nice to meet you... Im Kennedy Anderson... Please do call me kenny though." He held out his hand with a smile.

Vidor watched the other boy carefully he started to get nervous from the frustrated way he was moving about. His brows furrowed at the mention of drums not being an instrument if he had had a backbone he would have argued.
Band?! Vidor in a band?! Oh no no no that's no that couldn't happen at all. Vidor mumbled incoherently as he lifted his scarf to cover his mouth. He stood there for another moment for he attempted to flee from the room. He was intimidated enough by this Kenny, but him saying Vidor was now part of the band was to much for him to handle. Not only did bands play in front of crowds, but his parents would not approve of such a thing.

Kenny watched him for a second and then watched the area he used to be standing. Then looked at his outstretched hand. "Sticks,... seriously... You couldn't have just shaken my hand?"
He glanced behind himself to see the boy headed for the door. "Hey...Wait up!" He grabbed his bag and chased after the boy... completely leaving the useless drum. He was running and caught the kid's sweatshirt. "Hey!" He frowned and waited to see if the kid would pause in his running. Kenny wasn't afraid of ripping clothes... this kid could play those blasted drums... and he was sure as hell not letting go.

Vidor made a gack like sound as Kenny grabbed him by the sweater. He turned to look at Kenny his eyes were half terrified. He would keep running but if he ripped any of his clothes he would hear it later.
Vidor nervously adjusted the scarf to make sure his face was covered. he was nervous as heck and his lower lip quivered like he was getting frostbite. Why was this kid being insistent most let him run? He mumbled again but not a word of it was understandable.

Kenny smirked when the kid turned. Letting go of his hold on the sweatshirt just to sling his arm around the other boy's shoulder. "So there really are positives to being in the band." He grinned at the kid.
"For one... i will never pick you to play cards with...Which means you will never lose all your candy.... And then you get extra candy since i give the band most the candy i win...."
He shrugged and continued walking, kind of dragging the boy with him. "The next positive is you will have Von's protection...Which is big...she can either make you or break you in this lovely school... and being on her friend side is much better then being he enemy. The best way to become her friend is help her friends... So help me out and get a good contact in your corner."
Sighing he continued on. "Obviously i fail at the drums... and you are awesome... What do you say,sticks?"

Vidor put his arms up in a half freaked and defensive position as Kenny's arm slung around his shoulder. His blue eyes stared at Kenny as he talked to him about being in the band.
Mentally the boy was answering and shooting down Kenny's points, but verbally all was heard was a mumble. I would have never played cards with you in the first place was one point. I don't have any candy was another.
Vidor about tripped as Kenny started dragging him but he went along with the other boy anyways. Wait was that a backwards threat? Would this Von come after Vidor is he didn't join the band is that what this Kenny was telling him?
"Sticks?" Vidor said something finally. He guessed that was his new nickname. He kind of liked it, it reminded him of the river Styx which was not only a band but a mythological river that was associated with death. And things like that was considered way cool in rock band circles. Vidor smiled a bit under his scarf from the thought. As soon as the smile had come it left though as he remembered how much his parents despised rock music and would not approve of him spending time practicing something like the drum instead of spending his free time with the violin. "Oh....I'm s-sorry I c-cant.....just c-can't....."
