Nergüi was still out of town and hadn't heard from Conan or Gemini. She was getting irritated that neither had called her yet. She did have her cell phone (that she saved up for all by herself and is paying for). She sat down on the hotel bed and stared at her cell phone. She was practically willing the phone to ring when her roommates left to go do something else.

Nergui was going to kill her.... Gemini stared at her own cell phone, nibbling her lip. She'd promised to call after the meeting with Conan, but she'd forgotten. She'd been so busy floating on air though! That'd been a couple days ago by now. Looking around the empty house, she finally opened the phone and dialed Nergui's number.

If Gemini or Conan didn't call before this trip was over then Nergüi was going to confront them when she got home and then kill them. Finally her phone did ring and she snatched it up without looking to see who it was. "Talk to me!" She answered. It didn't matter who was calling as it applied to anyone.

Rather than being surprised, a little smile lifted. That was definitely Nergui style. "Hey. Sorry I didn't call sooner. There's been a lot going on..." She looked around again. She felt a little guilty about telling Nergui before her own mother, but maybe her friend could give her some advice on how to break the news. "So.... I got to meet with Conan the other day." Her smile crept up again. "And.. I found out that he feels for me like I do for him." Was she really going to drag this out? She'd never imagined she would be saying it...

Nergüi immediately interrupted with a 'It's about time!' as soon as Gem said she was sorry she didn't call sooner. She listened in quiet as Gem explained that she had met with Conan. "Make that two times for what I said earlier. Finally he told you. Now... did he tell you or did you tell him. Tell me everything that was said and happened." She all but demanded. She laid back on her bed with a big smile. She was happy for Conan and for her best friend.

Giggling softly at Nergui's enthusiasm, she felt herself relax. Nergui could be overbearing, but it was out of honest interest. Everything... She went over sending the letter and meeting Conan and Bran outside the garden. She emphasized Conan's unusual desire to speak first. Keeping Conan's sweet words to herself, she just said that he said, "-he said he loves me." Her breath caught in her throat with a soft gasp. "And then, Nergui! Oh, Nergui! He kneeled down and proposed!" And there it was. She'd finally broken the news to someone.

Nergüi nodded and made the 'Uh-huh' noises until Gem got near the end. "HE DID WHAT?!" She yelled jumping up and staring at the phone. She then put it back to her ear and began speaking quickly. "He seriously proposed?! What did you say? Hang on.... what did Blue and Corny say? What does the ring look like? Is the date set?"

Yelping, she yanked the phone away from her ear. She should have known better. "What else would I say? Of course I said yes! Corny doesn't know yet, and I don't think Conan has said anything to Blue. We're not quite sure how to break the news..."
"Saying you're engaged would be a good start!!" a voice snapped from behind.
Yelping again, Gem's head snapped around to spy a very irritated brother. "Chadrick! What-?"
"You're telling Nergui before you're telling mom? Or even me?!" Grumbling, he stormed off to his room, and the slam of his door made the house vibrate.
Gem sat open-mouthed, staring at where Chadrick had been standing. "Ohhh dear..." Biting her lip, she knew it would be a while before she could even try talking to him. She sighed and brought the phone back up to her ear. "Well, now Chadrick knows as well. Oh, right! Conan.. er, he didn't have a ring on him at the time. I don't think he was expecting to actually propose right then and there. He has promised one as soon as he can. And, no. No date yet. We have time before that can happen."

Nergüi rolled her eyes. "You could have said no..... and you better tell them soon. Get them both together and you both tell them at once." She said. She pulled a face when she heard Chad. "Ugh. Seriously?! Does he not get the concept of girlfriends?! They are the ones you tell first!" She huffed. Hearing that Conan proposed without being fully ready made her want to slam her head into something... like his gut. "Men! Can't do anything right. Seriously. Well you better figure out a date and who is all going to be there and who's going to do what.... and everything. You may have time now.... but you never know what that could change."

She smiled sadly. "Chadrick is a male. Of course he doesn't understand the bond between girl friends." He was family though... Sighing again, she could practically feel Nergui's agitation at Conan's lack of foresight. She could certainly imagine the face the deer gal was making. "I know. There is much planning to be done. ..but what do you mean? What do you think might change?"

This time Nergüi shook her head at Gem's comment. "I mean that it is better to have it planned ahead of time then to crunch and rush as the date rolls closer. Do you know how stressed you are going to be as it gets closer to the wedding day? Have you ever seen Bridezillas?" She said settling back down on the bed.

Another giggle slipped out. "It'll be a good stress though, right? ...Um, no. I never have." She wrinkled her nose. "It doesn't sound like a very encouraging show, mixing brides and Godzilla as a title.."

Another head shake and roll of the eyes. "Yeah right. You'll probably be freaking out over the details of the smallest thing and blow up on some poor unsuspecting guy." Nergüi said with a grin, "I'll have to get you to watch an episode so you can see what not to be like."

Gem opened her mouth to object, but then paused. She did want her wedding day to go just right... and she was a girl for details. "Perhaps that would be a good idea. I certainly don't want to upset anyone."

That brought a small laugh from her. "I do believe that nearly everyone would forgive you Gem. It is after all your wedding day." She replied. She was silent for a moment and then grinned. "So what happened after he proposed? Don't tell me that you two just went your separate ways after that."
