Children....so young and just starting out in the real world. They will learn how to talk and what to say to others. Perhaps they learn from others, or simply self-taught. Some are able to talk like an adult, while others would struggle how to talk in general. But, there are those that have their own language. Ones that call things by other names including people they know by different names. Yet, no matter what you say in the "real world"....you're only a child. And your life has just begun.

Because unlike Teenagers, and Adults, you're a child. And a child can do so many things. Be the cute little angel, or the sly little devil. Help their friends when they're in need, or be too scared to do anything. No matter what you're called by your parents and/or friends, you're still you. Perhaps you have a life long dream? Or, perhaps you have many dreams? Or maybe...just maybe...you're just a kid who doesn't know any better.

Regardless who your character is, if they're in this topic that means they are a child.

Once someone is born, they are automatically a child. Yes, a baby is different then a child. However, they have just began their childhood. So, they are a child even if they're only 1 year old. The oldest a child can be is 12, because once they're 13 they're a teenager. For now, they are children.

oO Roleplaying a Child Oo

For those who are experienced with roleplay, it isn't necessary for you to read this post though it my inspire you. For those not, this post is to help you roleplay a child.


Being a Child. This can be read in many different ways, but one you must consider is what kind of child your character is. Not all children are the same, and, in fact, are very different. Keep reading to see what I mean.

xxx1. You don't have to throw a fit like a child.
When you're rping, and for some reason your character is upset, you do not have to throw a fit. You do not need to kick and scream aka "act like a child" Your character could be more mature than that, or just handles the situation differently.

xxx2. You don't have to cry all the time.
No, you do not have to cry. It's okay to cry sometimes, your character is just a child. They'll have emotions just like any other human. How much they cry and how plus why is up to you. Just don't do it all the time, otherwise the poor child's eyes will hurt.

xxx3. You do not have to act adorable.
Yes, you're child so you'll be adorable - but you do not have to be! You can roleplay your child character however you wish. They can be adorable in their own way without you trying to make them out to be. You don't have to give them an accent, or repeatedly say "cute" to describe the things they do. They're cute, alright? Don't overdo it.
