This is open October 30 at 12:00pm (noon) to November 16 11:59pm PST.
Please fill out the Form and remember the rules. RULES You can Impress to a dragon you write but it is not guaranteed. Do not try to match a character to a profile - we can tell and it generally doesn't go over well. Personality profiles must be at least 2 full paragraphs and briefly cover the following: strengths, weaknesses, aspirations and any quirks. By submitting a profile you are agreeing to the release and non-involvement in the development and play of the character should the profile be selected for use. Anyone who tries to control development of a profile they write will be reprimanded immediately as seen fit by the staff. Fill out the form. Notice there is no option for colour or physical attributes - these are not available for player-decisions. Only personalities are. There is no theme so feel free to go wild! There is no maximum on the number of profiles that can be entered but be aware the Staff will only be selecting Quality Entries. It is very much a case of Quality over Quantity. Selected profiles will not be announced or even hinted at - they will only be revealed at the Hatching itself. The perk, obviously, is that your profile might be used in this Hatching! Personalities submitted may or may not be featured in future events.

Username: Mortane Dragon Personality: While not the cleverest dragon of the bunch this hatchling makes up for their short memory with brute strength when it comes to getting things done. It's not unusual to see them snapping, growling and bullying their way through a problem. In their mind they sees no problem with their actions. Only the strongest and best should rule after all, however when confronted with someone their fierce temper and strength can't best it's not unusual for them to throw a fit and sulk. Luckily their unusually short memory lends to them forgetting their failure fairly quickly and it's not long before they're right back at it again. A determined and stubborn dragon there is nothing they won't do to get what they wants. Despite their more brutish nature what this dragon wants is usually their rider's happiness. However with how hard they'll push their rider and how often their rider will be called to restrain them that fact may be a bit hard to believe. However this dragon's courage will take them far though their rider will have to keep an eye on their habit of underestimating their opponent. Loyal to the bitter end those who do befriend this dragon make a friend for life and once befriended it'll be hard to convince this dragon to abandon their companions. While perhaps not the thinker, this dragon certainly is a doer and will throw themselves into whatever plan they decide to go along with with as much enthusiasm as the person who came up with it.
After all while this dragon's loyalties, courage, and strength may never be called into question it's logic might. What this dragon wants this dragon takes and what they happens to like best is pretty things. Especially pretty humans and pretty dragons though with the Weyr frowning on the kidnapping of other dragons and riders this dragon instead resorts to collecting anything it deems 'pretty.' This can range from shiny rocks or bits of metal to pieces of art and fine cloth. While the dragon itself isn't particularly vain they simply like to keep about them things they considers pleasing to the eyes even if their collection comes off a bit more like a horde then the art gallery air this dragon takes in trying to display their things. Woe upon those whom happen to insult their collection since any criticism about their odd habits will be met with a possessive roar and a long winded screaming match. Their inability to 'keep' pretty people and dragons though won't stop this dragon from making it a point to 'collect' them by surrounding and trying to endear itself to those it finds physically pleasing to the senses. These friends however will be guarded jealously and it'll take a good deal of work and quick thinking by rider and friends alike to convince this dragon they're not being slighted. Username: Mortane Dragon Personality: Each sunny day will find this rather lazy dragon basking in the sunshine stretched out like an over large feline as it ponders the world around it. Where most dragons focus on the world as it is now, this one finds itself wondering about what will come and pondering questions that have no answers. The favorite of these questions being riddles. This dragon adores riddles. In fact it's rare to ever get a straight answer out of it and even rarer to get it to do anything without giving it the answer to the riddle it poses. However what many mistake for laziness is simply this dragon reserving it's own energy. Why should it prance about like it's foolish siblings when it has bigger things to deal with and work on. However the others can suit a means to it's ends and where it's cockier siblings might think this dragon nothing more then a sleepy layabout it's not unusual to find this dragon using it's riddles and tricks into luring it's siblings into buying into it's laziness and running here and there to fetch what it wants or do exactly as it planned. Even their rider will find themselves occasionally tricked in a round about way into doing what their dragon wants if they're not careful. Though in return they will be the only ones lucky enough to bear witness to the inner workings and mind of this philosopher like creature and their musings.
While this dragon will never be the most athletic of it's clutch it makes a staunch watcher and will never leave a post given to it. So long of course as that post doesn't involve too much movement. When required though this dragon in small bursts is wicked fast. Springing up from it's perceived sleep to swipe it's enemies away with a single strike before reclining back to it's post. However this dragon prefers threats and cleverness over brute force and has a strong love of lore and stories. Any new riddles as well will quickly earn this dragon's favor though anyone with a clever mark will find themselves tested. Any Notes: Based of the Sphinx

Dragon Personality: Saying this dragon is quirky is like saying the sky is blue; it’s a simple fact. The first thing anyone should know before coming in contact with it is that it’s a hoarder. It loves shiny things, constantly “collecting” them – with or without their owner’s knowledge or permission – and dragging them back to its weyr. If confronted on the matter, bemusement will be its reaction, because obviously the shinnies have found a better home, so why can’t it keep them?
When it comes to focus and attention span, this dragon is always at one extreme or another. When dealing with something that interests it, this dragon can become so hyperfocused that it’ll lose track of time, forget to eat, etc. On the other hand, when not hyperfocused, this dragon is very easily distracted, especially by shinnies; it's not unheard of for this dragon to simply wander off mid-conversation. It is also a clumsy dragon, its gangly build and dual nature giving the impression of an eager but awkward puppy. And like a puppy, this dragon often forgets to mind its surroundings, making the unintended destruction of property an unfortunately frequent headache for its rider to deal with.
Bravery and leadership are not really this dragon’s thing. Oh, it can do it if it must, but this dragon would much rather be left alone to do its own thing. Outside of drills and fighting Thread, this dragon wants to be different. It insists too many people and dragons “go with the flow,” and while it doesn’t actively flaunt it, this dragon does make a conscious effort to not fit in, regardless of the opinions of others, and encourages its rider to do the same.

Username: Naree Dragon Personality: Lumbering and laid back. This dragon enjoys taking it's time to see the sights and mull over any decisions that need to be made. While this can be a good thing, as the dragon has a good memory for detail and making logical decisions, the dragon often can take too long if not prodded to hurry by its rider. And if prodded too much, this dragon will dig its claws into the ground and be stubborn about being pushed in any direction, especially if it thinks it is the wrong one. Why rush, when the problem or person will still be there when it is all said and done? Slow to anger, more like a sleeping beast, it will take a lot to rouse this dragon to extraordinary actions that are out of its normal routine.
When it comes to flight and eating, the word that comes to mind is methodical. This dragon takes its time eating, flying, doing drills... But because of that, it is strong and steady. It has no problems on long flights or doing complicated exercises and it pushes its rider to work just as hard as it does. Not a chatterbox nor an attention seeker, this dragon prefers to sit and watch, drawing conclusions from actions as well as words. This dragon will not go against the change of command unless it feels deeply and strongly enough to speak out. And just like to its rider, it will dig its claws in and not back down unless ordered to by its leader. Even then, there may be grumbles and grudges held for as long as it can remember. But one thing everyone will say is that this dragon is loyal to a fault and reliable to those who need it.

Username: Mortane Dragon Personality: Help? Did you need help? Then this is just the dragon for you! No chore is too big or too small for them! Especially not with the helpful streak a mile wide that runs through this dragon. They’ll always be pestering to help someone with a task. Sweeping, dishes, glow duty, they all look like fun to it! Though why humans do these things are somewhat of a mystery to this dragon that it seems determined to solve. However it’s enthusiasm for aiding others sometimes might get it in a bit of trouble when it decides to help them without them knowing it. In fact anonymous aid in it’s mind is the best aid and when not being helpful this dragon tends to be rather shy.
However anyone who offers to help this dragon in return will find a complete reversal of it’s sweet temperament. How dare they think this dragon needs help! The rest of the world needs help! They can manage just fine thank you! If fact unless you apologize for offending this dragon right away instead of being helpful to you they might take to playing vengeful little tricks until appeased either verbally or perhaps with a treat. This dragon loves human food and will constantly be seen stealing this or that off their rider’s plate just to give it a try. Their favorite snack being bubbly pies. While shy around humans, dragons and even sometimes flits this dragon as a deep interest in dolphins. An interest that goes so far as to draw them out of their shell to go stick their head in the water in an attempt to talk to these strange dragons of the water. Of course sometimes their rider may have to remind them to pull their head back out since they unlike dolphins lake the ability to stay under water so long.

Username: Mortane Dragon Personality: There are few dragons quite as systematic in there cleverness then this one. Manipulation, distraction, and strong arm tactics are this creatures favorite tools when it comes to getting what it wants. And this dragon WILL get what it wants. There are few beings more ruthless in their pursuit of their goals then this creature. No one who gets in it’s way will be spared and they make it a point to do all they can to ruin and torture those who do. This dragon is so sure of the rightness of it’s actions that it is often blinded to the pain it causes and the morality of it’s own deeds. It will need a strong rider to act as it’s moral compass when it grows too obsessed with it’s plans and begins to forget that sometimes the end doesn’t suit the means. A rider whom it will view as it’s equal and partner, lending them a listening ear where it would deny such to others. A rider whom it may question, but will always stand by.
However this dragon rarely appears as it truly is and is often mistaken for a romantic flirt with it’s long flowery words and poetic gestures. That’s not to say that this dragon isn’t a romantic, just perhaps not the one most harpers would sing about seeing as when it comes to wooing they’re not afraid to use rather under-handed tactics. They’re even less afraid of eliminating the competition. However when it comes to a fight this dragon will rarely attack you directly. No, this is one creature that prefers to go for your weak spots or use hit and run tactics, unafraid to retreat and fight another day no matter if the battlefield is verbal or physical. After all they’ll get what they want eventually. This dragon has a rather deep love for poetry especially if the poetry is about itself or it’s rider. Perhaps the only thing this dragon loves more then poetry is the color red. In fact it’ll likely insist that it’s weyr be covered in the color with red rugs, red tapestries, red everything. When asked why this dragon will simply reply that the color Red reminds it of Her. Who this Her is no ones sure. Why not afraid to get it’s hands dirty when it comes to it’s age this dragon will be extremely vain. As far as it’s concerned it never passed a turn old and never will. No this dragon and it’s rider as far as it’s concerned will never age and woe be upon anyone who points out otherwise.

Dragon Personality: Fame, love, passion - this dragon has it all. It loves life and all the pretty things that come with it. It wants the best, and at no matter the cost. This could always mean scheming to steal away someone elses goods as long as there is some indication in there that there is an off-chance sit could, one day, be in possession of it. Things aren't allowed to be beautiful without them being present, and it'll be the very first one to inform you of that. Regardless of physical things, it is under the impression it is the bestest, beautiful, most amazing -- well, you get the picture.
It has a very strong sense of the dragon chain of command, understanding without protest that Golds are in charge, other dragons are something to be respected, and that whers are (of course) the bottom of the totem pole. Even with the knowledge that shiny egg-makers are typically the ones in charge, if a green happens to be in charge of a certain operation, or a Crimson is the one with higher ranking then a Bronze or Gold, they are still the one in charge. Color has little meaning to this dragon unless they hold a position of power. When authority changes hands, so will it's obedience. The dragon obeys, even if its rider is not too keen on the idea. Things must be followed in a way that would best benefit the Weyr, after all. Life must run smoothly.
Even with the dragons penchant to be vain and just a smidge self absorbed, it is no skinflint when it comes to affection for others. It throws itself into friendships wholeheartedly, even if it means lying just a little to make them like them. Everyone should like it automatically, this is a fact, but some people just don't understand things like 'should'. If it takes a little twisting of the truth to get those to like this dragon, it has no problem taking a page from more inventive dragons book.
As for the rider? It knows they is more then just an accessory, a pretty nothing to hang on a riders arm for no reason. They are an extension of the dragon, and thus should be treated with respect by those around them! It is intensely aware that they may not be the top dog, but that doesn't mean non-riders, or dragons with lower rank in the camp hierarchy need to be treating them and Theirs worse then they are. You don't insult a girl from Jersey Shore - and you don't talk trash about this dragons's rider. Shrieks and insulted pride may ensue.

Dragon Personality: Born a spitfire for they are as unpredictable as the weather at times. With a mind that is constantly racing, settling on one decision after another, letting their emotions rule their decisions. This dragon fuels their desires without thinking about the consequences - in fact, they could care less what happens! Quick to act because the first one to act is normally the first one to get what they want without any hesitation! Hesitation and thinking only leads to more questions, and this dragon is all about the answers. Carefully plotting is not in their agenda - they just want a piece of the action for they take great pleasure in making hasty decisions regardless of the outcome. This dragon does not look before leaping because they are completely confident in their actions, even if they turn out to be wrong. They know they're right to act the way they do, and those who stand in their way will definitely feel their wrath.
This dragon is always surprising their Rider with opposing or wild thoughts that do not seem to fit into the current conversation. They'll change things when they want to or flippantly lose interest in the topic at hand and turn the conversation to something much more interesting. They will also leap at any chance to get in on the action, whether it's a quarrel amongst dragon-folk or a fight in the skies - wherever the excitement is, they'll be there.
While in the air their movements are as unpredictable as they are on the ground. They enjoy aerial tactics the most - spinning, loops, dive bombs - anything to get the adrenaline kicked and get the enemy off their back. Not one to stay in formation unless the Queen or their Rider really get onto them - they'd much rather make their own decisions than listen to others. When it comes to producing flame, this one loves to fill the air with fire and catch their enemy off guard. Who cares about aiming? It was all about the flaming.

Username:Thaliawen Dragon Personality: Personality: This dragon is... like a cat. If it wants you, it'll stay around and "purr". If it's playful, avoid things that move. It's sure to go after them. That's the thing about this dragon, you never know what it's going to do. It's unpredictable, playful, adventurous and outgoing.
Unfortunately for it rider, or really, anyone who happens to be closest, this dragon has a temper. If it does something wrong, it’ll blame the closest one to it. That glow it knocked over? That wasn’t it's fault. It was your fault. This will most likely show itself during weyrling lessons; but may show before. Its rider better be careful, least she/he finds themselves blamed. Like a cat, this dragon is quick to lash out, but quicker to forgive. With a scratch of its eye ridges, all is forgiven.
This dragon believes it knows what’s best for everyone. It worries, it plans. Rather, it knows who’s best for everyone. This dragon is a match maker! Its rider would best be careful, especially right before flights. This dragon will be extremely picky, looking for a dragon (and by extension, rider) who will stick around, whether chasing or being caught. It knows what will make their rider happy, and what makes its rider happy will make it happy too. In fact, it knows what will make everyone happy. It's rider’s friends, family, people it’s just met, other dragons--it may go as far as to set up its clutch mates.
Its rider best be prepared.
This dragon gets along with most everyone! Or so it’d like to believe. However, if anyone ever threatens its, this dragon will be there to defend them. Any Notes:

Username:Thaliawen Dragon Personality:Its small stature says nothing about This dragon's personality. This dragon is adventurous, and playful. But more than that, it's a busybody. It is harder to detect than other dragonss, and uses this to its advantage. It pokes that muzzle into anything and everything. That Weyrling that tripped over his dragon's tail the other day? This dragon's will make sure all of Pern knows about it. That scandelous romance between two green riders? You can bet this dragon knows all about that.
This is a dainty thing, a queen in insert color here's clothing, and it acts it. It knows it's delicate, and tends to be quite the drama-queen/king. Did it knock something down with her tail? It'll blame that item. It ran into it, not the other way around. Doesn't its care that it's hurt? Did it get hurt during a Weyrling lesson? The instructor should have been more careful! It could have died! Is it raining? They better get inside before it decides to flood, and it drowns!
In and around flights, This dragon will be just as happy to provide information. It will probably tell its rider if it has any dragon in mind. Which dragon and what flights it joins / has are not an unexpected thing, and it won't be as picky as to who flies it / it chases, as long as they can keep up a proper conversation.

Username:Thaliawen Dragon Personality: This dragon wants nothing more than to protect. This dragon is honest to the extreme, so much that it may become a flaw. It tends to be blunt, even towards its rider. It respects authority entirely, never thinking to go against what its Wingleader or Weyrleader desire of it, even if it isn't what it would like.
Do you know the story of Don Quixote? The guy from the old stories who thought windmills were giants, tried to fight them, and fell off his horse? That's this dragon! This dragon is a dragon that falls for every dragon it flies/flies it. It treats them all with equal love and respect, but never to the extent of the love and respect it has for its rider. But whereas Don Quixote's goal was to become a knight and rid the world of giants and other mythical things, this dragon's goal is to rid Pern of Thread.
This dragon, being as courtly as it is, will often attempt to impress other dragons. It falls for each one it flies/is flown by, unfortunately for its rider. And while not as insane as the fabled man who read so much he believed every word was true, this dragon believes it's the one to save Pern. Any Notes:

Username:Thaliawen Dragon Personality:Personality: "Hurry Mine, or I will have to drag you. After all, I am a drag on." This dragon likes to speak through puns. If there's one readily available, it'll use it. Unfortunately, the ones it knows are typically ones used on a regular basis. Add that to terrible dragonic memory... This dragon's going to forget it's used the same one more than once. Or ten times. Or one hundred--well. You get the point. This dragon is a practical joker, always amused, and always ready to amuse others.
Hopefully this dragon chooses a patient rider, because its tricks and pranks aren't going to sit well with everyone in the Weyr. It will especially love pranking his; for its rider is who it'll be spending the most time with. Poor thing. it will have trouble keeping secrets from their rider; especially when it comes to plotting its next prank. It might forget that it's supposed to keep it a secret.
When it comes to concentrating on anything, this dragon isn't the best. It's easily distracted, and likes far too much to prank others while they're distracted, doing other things.

Username:Thaliawen Dragon Personality: This dragon is excited and ready for anything! This dragon has a love of life like no other. Even as an egg, it was ready to come out and explore Pern. It was ready to meet its rider. Speaking of its rider, This dragon will constantly be attempting to please its rider. Whether or not what its rider desires is safe or not does not matter to the dragon. It will happily do whatever it is its rider wishes--or at least attempt to do so. it may not be the most graceful dragon, on the ground; and being easily distracted, its rider may find that this dragon has trouble paying attention to lessons or authority. In fact it'd much rather be out swimming than listening to any other rider--or their dragon.
It does try, and usually succeeds (if something doesn't distract it) though maybe not in the way expected or laid out by those attending. Certainly an over eager dragon, but not particularly interested in flights or having much authority, this dragon will be content where ever it is in life as long as it can make its rider happy.
Though this dragon seems to have a careless nature, it worries very much whether it pleases its rider or not. And so it makes its focus on its rider--most of the time. It might see something that tugs at its interest. Oh, did its rider see that? Insert dragon's name here did. This dragon will be sure to tell its rider all about it. This dragon seems to have a curious streak, investigating everything. Unfortunately, this may get it into some trouble. Having a nosy dragon in the Weyr isn't always the best situation. Any Notes:

Username:Thaliawen Dragon Personality:This dragon has the attitude of a dragon that will eventually find its potential if given the chance. It seems very aware of its differences, but accepts them. It is not at all bitter. In fact, you're unlikely to find a happier dragon anywhere.
Unfortunately, its bubbly happiness comes with a lack of respect for peoples'--and dragons'--personal space. It doesn't seem to understand why someone wouldn't want to be its friend. Or why someone would tease it--it's not its fault they aren't as friendly as it is! Can't they see that it's really a nice dragon?
When it comes to Threadfall, this dragon isn't the best. It tries, oh, it tries. But it--just doesn't have the attention span. Or the tolerance for pain required to fight to its full potential. If it ever gets hurt, its's going to whine. To its rider, to nearby dragons, to the Weyrleader--it does not deal with pain or unhappiness well.
This dragon can be seen as rude. It's a very friendly, kind dragon--but not everyone's going to see it as that. It behaves differently than other dragons, and some dragons can be judgemental. It in truth is a sweet thing, but its rider best be prepared. It'll be taking care of them--but they'll have to take care of it, as well. Afterall, who better than insert rider's name here to guide a dragon like this one?
