 Gwen had her notebook in one hand and her quill in the other as she was walking through the hallway. An idea had come to her for a new little robot and she wanted to record the details as quick as she could before she forgot them. She wondered if she had the necessary parts she would need to start it here or if she would have to wait until she went home on break to start on it. On the bright side, if she waited, she would potentially have her mom's help. On the other hand, if she had the parts now, she would be able to surprise them when she stepped off of the Hogwarts Express. As she was contemplating the idea and the benefits of both waiting and not waiting, she continued walking, completely unaware of what was in front of her.

Wicka growled. Why couldn't he go to an all boy's school. How many times today had he had to duck out of the way just to dodge some girl's cootie infected skin. With an annoyed huff he stood and walked toward the door of the classroom. A girl came up behind him and was obviously speaking to him. He ignored her and with careful movements weaved his way into the hall.
However in his haste to get away from the girl behind him he ran smack dab into the girl in front of him. Out of a natural reaction he caught her arms to steady them both so they didn't fall.
Only after his balance came back did he realize what he had done. His hands moved from her arms like they were being burnt, "No! Now look what you did..." He glared at her. "Ive dodged those blasted cooties all day... all i had to do was get back to the dorm... " He glared harder. "Come on... i need to get you to give me your anti-cooties..."

Gwen was jolted out of her thoughts when someone ran into her. She nearly dropped her notebook and would have, had whoever it was not grabbed her arms to steady them both. She was about to respond to the person when she looked up to see a boy glaring at her. What was he talking about? She hadn't done anything! And what were 'anti-cooties'?!
"What I did?" she asked, "You bumped into me!" as he continued on about cooties, she looked at him curiously. "What are you even talking about? There's no such thing as anit-cooties!"

"Yeah!" He frowned and looked around quickly. "You contaminated me with your girly cooties..." He frowned again and shook his head. "So now im not safe... You know what that means don't you... It means that i need to be sanitized... and since its your fault you should help me."
His green eyes flashed. "There has to be... its what a cootie shot contains..." He frowned... "The only way to make sure i get rid of all your blasted cooties is if you... the one who gave them to me... Gives me a cootie shot..."

There he went, continuing to ramble on about cooties. She looked him over; she figured most of the boys here, even the first years, would know better by now. Apparently, she was wrong.
"What are you talking about?" she asked him. "Just find some sanitizer or go wash your hands if it freaks you out that much. I don't have any shots to give you."

Wicka frowned at the girl. "Its like this" He held out his own arm and drew an invisible bullseye. "Circle circle... dot dot now you have your cootie shot... But you have to do it since they are your cooties..."
He held out his arm to her. He couldn't believe he was going to let a girl touch him... but she better only give him the shot... "Look i didn't mean to run into you... trust me... all i wanted to do was get back to the common room since i don't have any more sanitizer... "
He glanced around trying to make sure there were no other girls around to contaminate him more.

Gwen raised an eyebrow at him as he showed her what exactly he wanted her to do. Now she understood; she had been familiar with the 'shot' from back at her old school before she had come to Hogwarts. She wondered how she could get herself out of this.
Then an idea came to her, "But what about your cooties?" she asked, deciding to play along a different way. "Boys have cooties, too, so if I touch you, I'll get boy cooties. Then you'll have to touch me to get me the shot and you'll get my cooties back."

Wicka stared at her looked she had grown two heads. "Boys don't have cooties..." He sighed..." Only girls have cooties... so it doesn't matter if you touch me.. You cant catch something i don't have" He rolled his eyes in a way saying how silly of her not to know that.
He glanced around again and saw a girl coming down the hall obviously planning to duck behind him. Wicka frowned and looked for options stepping forward so she didn't touch him seemed to be the only one. With that he stepped forward and knocked into Gwen again... "Oh no... now i have double cooties"

Okay, so that didn't work. This boy was set in his ways; she wondered if there was a way she could convince him that she didn't have cooties. It may not get him to give up his belief of the germs but it could get him to leave her alone. She huffed slightly when he ended up knocking into her again.
"Are you sure you even have regular cooties?" she asked him. "What are the symptoms of having cooties? There would have to be something."

This made wicka pause. Symptoms... well the evolved cases made your nononaughty parts fall off... but what lead up to that? Well... you got infected by touching a girl... "I got it... When a girl touches you and your nono naughty parts start to frown..." He nodded. "Thats when you know for sure... But i would much rather not go that far... just a cootie shot... and then we can go about our business..." He held out his arm with a decided frown."Do you not think they are regular cooties? Do you have weird cooties i need to worry about... better give me two just to be on the safe side."

Gwen fought the urge to bring her hand up to her forehead. Who in the world had told this boy such crazy things?! First the cooties shot, then his privates would 'frown' if a girl touched him? How in the world did he think he was going to get through their entire time here at Hogwarts without touching a girl?
Instead, she sighed and shook her head. "Fine," she resigned and grabbed his hand. "I don't have strange cooties so one will be fine." she told him and did the stupid little 'circle, circle, whatever' thing to the back of his hand.
"There, you'll be fine. Maybe you should see if the nurse has a special shot so you don't have to worry about cooties anymore?"

Wicka watched her and when she touched his hand he twitched slightly. At he shot he beamed. "Thank you... thats all i needed..." He stole his hand away and crossed his arms.
He gave her a quizzical look. "Is there such a thing?" He hadn't ever heard of anything like that. He would have to head over to the hospital wing and make sure to ask. "Thats a really good idea... uh... " He frowned trying to remember if she had said her name or not... he was leaning toward the or not...

"Well there must be," she told him, biting back a smirk. "After all, you don't see any of the older boys having cooties, do you? After all, they are always getting touched by girls."
"I'm Gwen," she nodded to him, "I gotta get to class now but you really should go check with the nurse and see if she can help you."
