Herrrrrre! Pretty Fox! Herrrrrre!
Username: Nasaiki
Fox's Name: Nessus
Personality: Nessus is your typical daeva, he gets along with others only slightly at the best of times and likes to be on his own. He gets annoyed very easily and has a short leash on his temper. He doesn’t really liked to talk to people and barely tolerates his twin brother who can annoy him quicker than anyone else.
Prompt Reply:
On a good day it wasn’t too safe to be near a Daeva, and Nessus was no exception to the rule. Today it was especially true as he destroyed the log in front of him. How dare that harlot of a woman keep on doing this? He seriously had no peace. Day after day she’d track him down and bother the crap out of him. He had enough of the whole affair seriously. He had even tried nicely in the beginning to get her to go away with no such luck. Then he had tried ignoring her only that just seemed to add fuel to the fire. Then he started trying to avoid her only she kept showing up where ever he went. Now… well now he was just pissed.

Why did she even want to be near him? Daevas were scary bad a** creatures that not even bears wanted to mess with. Maybe she had met one of those nice daevas or seen him with his brother and though well since he was phim blood there might be some small corner of him that was soft. Well perhaps he should show her just why you shouldn’t harass a daeva. After all roughing her up and scaring her should get the message across that daevas weren’t fluffy bunnies and then he could get back to being alone. A smirk crossed his features as he started to plan his scheme.

Herrrrrre! Pretty Fox! Herrrrrre!
Username: Nasaiki
Fox's Name: inara
Personality:
Inara is a sweet and friendly fox, she likes hanging out with her friends and she’s extremely loyal going to great lengths to be there when she’s needed. However she also isn’t weak and will stand up for what she thinks is right even when she’s outnumbered.

She also has a soft spot for children and those getting picked on and wont hesitate to be there as much as she can for them whether it be protecting them or giving them some sort of shelter if she’s able to.
Prompt Reply:

Inara let out a melancholy sigh. She had stopped next to a riverbank for a while before deciding to continue on with her journey. It felt weird and a bit depressing being away from all her loved ones. However she knew leaving would be better in the long run, or at least she hoped. Only she didn’t really have like leaving at all, which was why it had been good to see her friend Lerin if only for a little while. However she knew she had to make all new friends in this place, which was a bit daunting if she thought about it.

It was about here that she saw it. The little kit was just walking along and playing on a tree branch. Only problem was the branch was right over the river and said branch didn’t look like it was going to hold on much longer. She looked around frantically hoping that its parent was nearby. She herself was afraid to call out incase she startled the kit and he fell off the branch and into the water. It was nearing winter and already the water had gone uncomfortably cold.

It was then that the inevitable happened and the branch snapped sending the little kit plummeting down into the freezing churning water below. Inara shot up determined to rescue the little boy, like hell she was going to just watch as a child died in front of her. She dove into the river with out a second thought. It was touch and go for a few harrowing minutes when she would reach out to grab the boy and he would be flung away from her. Eventually though she got a good hold on him and was able to drag/swim them to safety. Looking up she noted they where several feet away from their original spot.

The poor kit mewled in protest, struggling to get away from what he thought of as a stranger. Inara just pulled him close to her body for warmth and started singly softly to calm him down and show she wasn’t a threat. “Shh its okay you’re safe now” she whispered. He finally let out some sniffled but curled up into her. With that she let out a sigh of relief that the kit was going to be okay.

Herrrrrre! Pretty Fox! Herrrrrre!
Username: Yushika
Fox's Name: Iumi
Personality: Iumi is cold, like her father. She doesn't work well with most foxes based mostly on the fact she doesn't like most foxes. She likes to be alone, and if she does choose a partner it will have to be someone able to mentally entertain her as well as hold their own. She does have a sweeter side, a side that is protective and affectionate (if a tad sarcastic), but that is saved for her immediate family and future mate. Other then that, she's a quiet fox that doesn't quite like company. She does have a somewhat soft spot for kits which she masks with faked scowls and tail lashes. Secretly, she's squeeing inside.

She does have one insecurity. Her transparency. She will tense and lash out the second you mention it. However, she's extremely close with Dior. He watches out for her, and usually lashes out for her when someone mentions her transparency. She gets along just fine with Dior and seems to enjoy his company. She doesn't know what she'd do without him, and she doesn't like to think about it.
Prompt Reply: Were they idiots?

She was starting to think she had given these males too much credit. She had assumed they'd flee the second they realized the "babe" they had been speaking to was not only not amused, by bearing her flames at full peak. Nope. Instead they chittered amongst themselves, flashing grins towards her as transparent wings twitched against her back, the only sign she was even listening to their babble. Nonsense. She was growing weary of this, and quickly.

Iumi was known for being as cold as her father, perhaps even more so. She rarely showed any other expression other than a cruel smirk when she bested another, or an annoyed stare. She was sarcastically affectionate with family, but the woman made sure not most saw this side of her. Besides, once an outsider saw that warmer side they'd expect too much from her, and she just wasn't the fox to care to give them what they wanted. She disliked people, mostly because either someone was too loud, stupid, or both. She was tired of playing the manners game, flashing polite smiles and holding strong conversations. No. That wasn't for her. Maybe it was for her siblings, but she wasn't going to play this game.

Then these males came along, flirting a storm and expecting the strange 'Daeva to give two shits. Her abnormally cold temperature was rising as she stared at them. Her cold flames licked around her paws, tail slowly shifting. What were they thinking, harassing a 'Daeva? The woman flicked hair from her eyes, contemplating simply rolling them over with a paw. No. That was disgusting, their ignorance may rub off. Still, they were growing on her last nerves. Usually, she'd just fly off, however Iumi was tired of flying all day. Besides, why the hell should she let these men chase her off when she was here first?

"Are you quite done?" She hoarsely snapped, eyes narrowing. "Deities, I've seen kits with bigger brains than you lot." She flashed a scowl as a male sputtered something in response, barely caring long enough to even acknowledge what he said.

Then, one of the fools mentioned her transparency.

Her eyes flashed dangerously, hurt flickering within her chest, masked by the fierce glare. Suddenly, it flicked neutral, tail twitching as she blankly viewed the fools. "I have a suggestion. How about we scatter before I use these?" She flashed her claws, extending the extra ones on her wings as her voice, void of any emotion, rang throughout the air. A male challenged her, briefly, and she took a quick, heavy step forward.

She was relieved as the foxes took a step back. Good, that was working, a bit. Deciding that it was apparent they'd need more persuasion, she took a lazy swipe at a male, watching as the smaller fox tripped in his attempt to flee and then darted off with his friends. Good. Even the idiots wouldn't mess with a 'Daeva. Pleased with her success, Iumi shifted her wings back in place, smirking slightly as she turned her back on the retreating group and padded off. Perhaps Dior had returned from his hunting trip? The two travelled as a pair these days, she wouldn't be surprised if the male had dragged back too much for the two of them.

Herrrrrre! Pretty Fox! Herrrrrre!
Username: Yushika
Fox's Name: Mephistopheles
Personality: Meph is a little devilish fellow. He does as he pleases, when he pleases, and if it doesn't work the way he thinks it should he will make it. He loves to toy around with others, sometimes going too far in his attempts of fiendish delight. He loves to cause minor chaos, though he isn't exactly evil. Simply an a**, if we are going to try and define him. He's very possessive of the things that are his, and yet is willing to ditch foxes he's acquired as mates or friends if they have wronged him. He's also a pervert, to an extent, and is very fine with this.
Prompt Reply: The male stared at the woman that he had found in the snow storm, ears back as his wings stayed pinned to his side. He was uncomfortable to say the least, and she was the source of his discomfort.

He loved her, to be honest. So much. She was beautiful and pure and sweet, and everything he was not. She was the most beautiful vixen he had ever met, and Meph had been trapped in her gaze the first day she patched his wing months ago. Even when her mate fluttered down beside her he felt her warm touch, and the male had decided right then and there he would have her. Perhaps he was a stalker, but these days Meph was captured by her loving gaze and sweet voice, unable to stop the raw emotion that made him this bad, bad person.

So, he had set up a trap for her mate merely days ago. How was he to know a storm would hit that very night and the woman would, distraught, brave the storm for him? How was he to know any better that she would collapse in the cold? How was he to know any of this?

He mentally cursed as his paw slammed into the ground, hot anger flashing. He blamed her! Not himself! How could he know she would trap him in this spiral, causing him to do these horrid things and inflict pain on her? He blamed her. Not himself. Never himself. No. How could he? She was the cause of all this! Yet, she laid there, cheeks red from a fever he could not end, face scrunched in pain as she muttered her lovers name. He had done this much, he could admit. Yet, he didn't want to. He didn't want to admit what he had done, or admit that part of this was his fault. No.

He didn't want to admit any of it. Even as he suddenly took off, braving the storm for a cause he wanted to strangle. Love. This woman was not worth his love, and yet here he was, slicing open the trap that held her mate, backing away rapidly as the male barreled out. Here he was, giving into his love just so she'd be happy. Hell. What was he to do? She would wake with her mate beside her, and she'd be happy, and wasn't that what you wanted when you loved someone?

Bah. This was her fault. Not his.

Herrrrrre! Pretty Fox! Herrrrrre!
Username: Yushika
Fox's Name: Nessus
Personality: Short-tempered, the male actually does like being near people. He likes company, whether he chooses to admit it or not, he just hates when the company talks back or pesters him. He much rather be silently noticed and left there to enjoy his alone time. If you do speak to him, try and keep him a good mood. He's sarcastic and snippy, but this also comes from his inability to interact, being nervous at best. He doesn't communicated much, so when someone reaches out he tends to recoil and slap at them with harsh words and snarls. He can be tamed, though he'll always be sarcastic and rough with his love. Speaking of love, any flirting sends this male into a frenzy of snarls, red cheeks, and exposed claws. He does not know what to do with this. Anyone that pisses him off will be slashed. He's a difficult fox to deal with, but most blame it on his lack of experience with other foxes.
Prompt Reply: He was going to rip out Barbas' throat.

Barbas had visited him five times this week. He always found Nessus, no mater how far the male flew or how long, Barbas was there. Perverted words breathing into his ear, low laugh cackling when he dodged Nessus' swipes and harsh words. He never stopped. Nessus was unsure what to do. Sometimes, honestly, he didn't mind Barbas. That was what pissed him off the most, the fact Barbas actually could hold a decent conversation long enough for Nessus to lower his shoulders, then the red male would sputter some nonsense that would send a warm spike through Nessus, both from fury and loss of pride. He was tired of being demeaned, and tired of Barbas.

So, he was waiting for the male, ears backwards as he glowered to himself. He had a trap waiting in the trees, something he noticed the humans set up a day ago. If Barbas came close enough he would be caught in a net, and this was all Nessus needed. He stared ahead, waiting for Barbas. Aha! He was clever, wasn't he?! Barbas would finally be captured and tormented by the humans and he'd be alone! Finally!

When night approached Nessus worried Barbas had chosen today to leave the male to be. As sleep greeted him he was left wondering if perhaps Barbas had given up, though he hoped not. He wanted to make Barbas leave himself. Through this amusing, horrid way. It was far beyond amusing.

"GAH!"

Nessus awoke to seeing a white and red 'Daeva tangled in a net, struggling to get free. A grin formed on Nessus' maw, tail flicking wildly as he leapt upwards, approaching the male with a sneer. Finally. FINALLY! He had stopped the idiot!

"There. You can ******** off now, finally." Nessus grinned back as Barbas struggled. Red eyes grinned back at him, playful as always. A paw extended, as if trying to reach through. Nessus almost smacked him, stopping his claws before they cut through the rope. Barbas stared at him, grinning back.

"Oh? Is this what you're into? Well. If only you told me that before~" Nessus snarled as Barbas grinned wider, swishing his tail violent. This male deserved whatever happened to him! Extending his wings, he kicked off and fled into the sky, done with the male.

The next day he lurked nearby, watching Barbas trapped. Yes, the male pissed him off, but could he really leave him there for the humans? The answer was yes, Barbas had stumbled onto his last nerve. Yet, at the same time, whether Nessus liked to admit it or not, he felt a sting of guilt swelling in his throat. Barbas was an a*****e, thank you. So why was he so worried?! 'Because if it was you, Barbas would save you.' Oh, deities! Damn the small amount of actual consciousness his twin had implanted in him when they were young! Scowling loudly, he fluttered down to the trapped Barbas, slashing the trap open and offering the male a glower.

Barbas stood, stretching his wings and shaking himself off. His mouth formed a sly, sneaky grin as he viewed Nessus. "I knew you'd come and get me if I sat there long enough. Oh, does little Nessus actually care? I'm so flattered, really. You know, I could have gotten out myself." With a flourish he burned the rope net, flashing a wide smile as Nessus, horrified, took a step back.

GOD DAMMIT! No matter what he did, Barbas was always a step ahead! Opening his mouth to snap back, his mouth closed, unable to respond. Well, ******** this s**t! He was done! Next time, Barbas was going to be tossed into the ocean!

Wait. Hold up. There wasn't going to be a next time! He was going to kill this male! ******** style="font-size: 14px">Herrrrrre! Pretty Fox! Herrrrrre!

Username: Yushika
Fox's Name: Arun
Personality: Arun is a very serious male, and not only that, he comes off as grumpy. He doesn't smile much, he doesn't even speak that much. However, that doesn't mean he doesn't care. He views everything without emotion, however he can be touched. His emotions are passionate once you kick them alive, and they are just as intense as his normal piercing stare. Perhaps this is why he never allowed them to show. He does have a gentler side, yet only a special personality can touch it. Or kits. He also loves kits, but tends to treat them rather indifferently unless they need him.
Prompt Reply: Arun trudged through the snow quietly, eyes sharply glancing about as he considered his location. A snowy field that lurked at the edge of a mountain. Where was he heading? He didn't have much reason these days, having left his den weeks ago to simply travel. He had no intention of returning to his old home, nor any intention to find a new home. Nor did he have any intention to trip over something small that let out a loud yelp. His foot dragged and he tumbled into the snow, sputtering curses as he drew himself off and whirled backwards to see what had tripped him.

A tiny kit stared at him. White fur with yellow eyes and a strange blue cap on it's head as well as sporting a blue vest, the kit ducked back into the snow when his piercing cold blue eyes locked on her. He sat there briefly, unsure what to do (or say), considering simply turning his back. The kit was fine. A small, tiny sneeze caused his raising paw to lower, eyes flicking back to view the small creature.

".... Kit." He grumbled lowly. The creature peeked back up at him, head tilting sharply to one side. "What are you doing out here?" The kit whined gently, hiding back within the snow.

"I lost my mommy and daddy." She squeaked back gently. Arun stared at the kit, a frown forming. How did you lose your parents in a field of white? Still, the male stayed put, scowling slightly, though hiding it within seconds.

"Well. I hope you find them soon." Arun's naturally low voice rumbled within his chest as his spine shuddered. Sitting in the cold was starting to cause him to actually feel the harsh, sharp winds. What was it like to be a kit? Lower to the ground, freezing, probably having to hop over snow to even move. Sympathy fluttered in his chest, watching the small kit peek back at him.

"Ohkay." She shuddered violently, snuggling back into the snow as if that was any comfort at all. Arun stayed put, eyes harshly narrowing. He wasn't here to babysit. A child would only drag him down. Yet, he couldn't just leave the poor thing alone.... lost... scared and cold. No. He couldn't. He remembered the days he had been alone, full of too much pride to ask for help or company. No, He couldn't just leave this poor girl in the snow.

".... If you're quiet... I'll help you find your family." With this, he gripped her neck, tossing her onto his back. Perhaps he was being too rough? The kit snuggled immediately into his warm fur, his own body twitching sharply at the small mass of pure cold. The kit violently rolled and tossed about until she was warmer, rubbing the side of her face against his neck and flicking her ears back. It didn't take long for the kit to fall into an exhausted slumber.

Arun froze right there, unsure what just happened. However, a small flicker of a smile crossed his face, briefly. It seemed today his plans changed, he'd be helping this little kit for the day, perhaps two. Right now, that could wait. The little tyke needed shelter and food.

Fox's Name: Meph
Personality: He's a smart a**, and does what he wants. Meph is blunt about his thoughts and feelings to the point where it can hurt others...not like he really cares anyway. You could say he takes guilty pleasure in mischief...but he doesn't feel guilty about it one bit.

Grab his attention, and your in for a ride. If he takes a fancy to a fox, he will do anything and everything to get his paws on them. There is nothing he won't do. Meph thinks that there is nothing more fun than the chase, and he's likely to drop said fox as soon as they stop amusing him...or another catches his eye. Don't piss him off. He won't kill, but he'll make sure to completely ruin your life and turn everyone against you. Lovely.
Prompt Reply:
That sneaky little vixen. That gorgeous, sweet, playful, sneaky vixen. She'd wormed her way into his mind and taken up residence. Well, you can't just walk on in, capture Meph's interest and then expect there will be no consequences. There are always consequences. So now she was going to have to deal with the relentless pursuit of a 'daeva. She will be his, it was only a matter of time.

But still...why the hell was she with that other. It was pathetic really, how she clung to such an inferior fox. Meph was so much better. Well, she just needed to realise that. He'd tear down the male that dared to stand in his way. Make him look a fool. Make him appear cruel. Get into his head and make that stupid boy throw his beloved away like trash. Then He'd swoop in. He would be the one to comfort her through the whole ordeal. And He would be the one she came to...to make the hurt go away.

Yes...

It was all coming together now...soon she would belong to him....

Personality: He's not really aggressive at all, and tends to focus on defence instead. Though, when provoked, he will strike and it will not be pretty. Nessus tends to prefer solitude over company, and this is obvious when he's around others. However, due to this pension for being alone, he doesn't quite know how to handle himself in certain social situations. Nessus also has the common attitude of 'daevas in that he really just does not care about others opinion of him. But then, with the stigma attached to his kind, especially since his brother is a 'phim, he's learned this technique from an early age.

Herrrrrre! Pretty Fox! Herrrrrre!
Username: Reoakee
Fox's Name: Iumi
Personality: Distant and a bit cold. She’s actually rather nice if you get to know her, the problem is getting to know her can be a bit challenging. Bouncing perky foxes annoy her and she doesn’t have the patience to deal with some sorry sad sack fox who she would just want to smack and tell them to straighten up. In this aspect she is much like her father. She doesn’t think emotions will be turned against her though because others won’t be certain if the emotion she does show is her real one. Lonely isn’t a good word for her because she can always go see her parents.
Prompt Reply: Cold as ice, just like her father, Iumi isn't a Daeva to mess with. But that is just what a group of males is doing. How does she handle it? What happens?

Seeing a group of males all clustered together she was a bit curious. The noise had woken her up and she had to find the source of the interruption to her slumber. Warily looking at the bunch she was tempted to just set the plains on fire and fly off. Her light blue flames danced along a dangling paw in her perch on a branch as she mused. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that this area was close enough to her favorite sleeping spot and the ashes and fire might ruin the area for her. The group of males shifted and she saw they were beating another fox. Huh she had seen flashes of that fur but just assumed it was one of the group. Her tail curled as she took in the sight. It was a phim being assaulted. Pathetic was her first thought. A phim being larger than normal foxes being beaten up when they should be able to just fly away, it was ridiculous. She watched for a few more moments until the irritation at the phim and the other foxes built to when she snarled. Rolling forward she fell out of the tree. Spreading her wings she did a quick flap so she could land safely. The males stopped and turned at the sound of her landing. The looks on their faces seeing a deava made her laugh. She strolled over toward the group at a painstakingly slow pace just to relish in their unease. One of them growled at her. Of course being a sweet and kind girl she didn’t growl back. Instead she smiled and let her light blue flames start to come out a bit. The grass by her paws went up quickly but not as fast as the growling males ambition. He backed away keeping his eyes on her and his tail nicely tucked between his legs. She kept the cold grim smile as she approached the phim on the ground. The males didn’t seem to want to hang around. The cowards took off causing Iumi to scoff at them. Really she hadn’t even done anything and they were so scared by a smile and the sight of flames. It was disgusting. Seeing the curled up blue phim Iumi decided to settle this as fast as she could. She gave the phim a swift kick to get her attention. “Hey their gone.” Done with all that she turned and started to walk back to her nap spot. Hopefully this time to be undisturbed. If she was by the modeities she was going to roast someone!

Fox's Name: Meph
Personality: Determined as the day is long. He has no inhibitions and goes after what he wants. If he can’t get it by guile or cunning he will take it by force and will do so with a sweet smile and a fair amount of charm.
Prompt Reply: Prompt: Meph is crushing on someone. However, it isn't that simple. This fox has someone else they are interested in. Meph isn't going down without a struggle. What sort of devilish plot does he come up with? Or As Meph is devilish he has met someone as pure as untouched snow. Does this anger Meph, or does he take a special liking to them? Or does he just not care?

Two days had come and gone and it didn’t even phase him. For two whole days he had lain in wait here at this little grove, since the first day he saw her. A lovely little phim with a big bushy tail; at first he had thought her a male until he had come down to harass them. The voice was a dead giveaway as was the way she looked up close. Definitely a cute little vixen. He had decided that he would keep her and have some fun with her for a while. Then the unthinkable happened. She just giggled said she had someone she was interested and took off without another word. For the rest of the day Meph had proceeded to set fires to things and smash whatever he could get in his reach. So now he was laying in wait to see the vixen again. He wanted to learn more about her and see what his competition was like. Once he knew than he could find a way to steal this vixen away and keep her close to him. He had never once been rejected in such a manner before and he felt it was behooving of him to just let it slide.
When she landed he smiled at her slipping out of the shadows to approach her. She looked surprised to see him but it wasn’t an issue in his mind. He was sauntering over with a soft smile. “Hello again.” He saw a bit of curiosity in her eyes. That was good. He would simply play it calm and collected. He talked to her for a short while and learned a few things. Her name was Paige and she was such a sweet fox. It made Meph want to possess her more. She would be his and he would keep her where she couldn’t just get away at her leisure. Apparently she lived with a brother and a little perma kit. He spoke softly and listened like everything she said was golden to his ears. Honestly half of it was just boorish tittering, but it did give him an insight into the way she thought and looked at the view. He had to admit her chatter wasn’t offensive to his ears. Perhaps he wouldn’t have to find a way to muzzle her and just keep her for her unusual looks. He rather liked the way her eyes looked like round silver moons in deep black pools. Paige started to speak of a Nos, this was a deava that she had met and seemed to really like to talk about. This must be his competition. Meph started to pay special attention to what she said. Black flames, bloody claws, and a devil mask. Interesting. “I’d like to meet this Nos, do you suppose you could introduce us?” Her nod was so happy that Meph laughed. She had no idea she was going to lead Meph to his victim and soon sweet little Paige would be his willingly or not.

Fox's Name: Nessus
Personality: Not evil by any means Nessus is just a hermit. He’s fine with others around as long as he’s not moved, talked to, or pestered in any form.
Prompt Reply: Nessus has met someone that just won't go away, and in the bad way. No matter how he tries the other fox keeps pestering him! What is Nessus' final attempt to try and make the other fox just leave him be?

The little brat just wouldn’t go away. Growling Nessus used a paw and slid it under the little fox and flipped her up and backwards. She twisted in the air like a cat and landed with a thumb and fell over. Not quite so catlike as she first appeared. She wiggled a bit on the ground trying to get her paws under her again so she could come forward again. He’d already gently shoved her and told her to go away. He wasn’t one to hurt kits but this was ridiculous. Using a wing he batted at her. The little brat lept up back and started to creep forward again. His wonderful quite day was ruined by this little wench. Closing his eyes he let his flames drift outward around him hopping that would kept the kit away. He heard a painfully loud screeing from the kit and used his paws to cover his ears. So annoying. If it were an adult fox he could just bite them or light them on fire. It was harder to do to kits, though he was getting much closer to that point if this little nusaince didn’t take off soon.
Something thumped him in the side. Looking back he saw the kit digging up dirt and flinging it at him! Of all the stupid. He stood up with a snarl. Enough was enough. Using his tail he bowled the kit over and moved close enough to grab her in his jaws. Picking her up he shook her once without biting down. She was completely still in his mouth. Good she wasn’t a total fool. The little phim feathers near his nose made him want to sneeze. He sulked over to a bush and started digging at the roots. He figured the hole was deep enough and dropped the kit in it and collapsed the rest of the bush over the hole. He smiled to himself and turned and walked away. Problem solved. If she tried to get out he’d just light the bush on fire if she stayed down she wouldn’t get burned. Let’s see how smart the baby phim really was.

Fox's Name: Zane
Personality: Blunt and honest Zane always gives his honest opinion and that along with his strange looks does tend to make him spend most of his time alone. He doesn’t mind after all he’s used to it by now. He is a very accepting fox for the most part unless he sees other being used or tortured. He takes a rather dim view on such matters.
Prompt Reply: Zane is strange. There is no way to deny it. He's used to those weird looks and double-takes. He's also rather blunt with his feelings on it. He hasn't yet met someone who was actually excited to meet him, until today... A strange vixen has shown up and she won't leave him alone, admiring his look and constantly babbling about how cool he is. Does this anger him? Or is he more flattered? How does he respond to her?

He blinked again trying to keep up with what the bouncing vixen in front of him was saying. She spoke so fast it was hard to keep up and Zane was getting a headache. “Enough!” He closed his eyes and shook his head the ‘s’ when he spoke again came out as a hiss. “Slow down I can’t keep up.” His tail dragged along the ground for a moment before it flicked up. He had no idea who this vixen even was she just burst out of the forest and came right up to him and started to babble to him after saying that he was amazing! Few foxes came up to Zane so easily or so happily. He didn’t understand her at all. She was silently staring at him right now with a sloppy grin across her muzzle. It made him feel a bit uncomfortable so he stepped back. She followed him and was talking again. He listened as much as he could trying to ascertain what she was talking about now. She was mentioning fairies, and her mate. She wanted to introduce him to her mate? Zane was at a loss what to do so he just nodded trying to placate the female. It wasn’t like he had anywhere better to go anyway. “Who are you?” He must have shown some surprise at her name because she repeated it for him. “Yavie?” What an interesting name.

Fox's Name: Kady
Personality: Somewhat of a jack of all trades healing type, through massages and a natural calm aura she can mend Foxes moods and wounds, she's also good with wrapping them up (yes because of the thing on her butt XD)
Prompt Reply: Humming as she travelled to the next area filled with Foxes the female had felt the need to move on from the last, she needed to help other Foxes now, she'd taught the last set all she could really and it was time to help those less fortunate, should she meet someone along the way, get lost, make new friends, an enemy? This was all an adventure to her really and she was more than ready for this, her new adventure. The journey there wasn't the only thing she was looking forward to, once she did arrive there would be a whole new group of Foxes to meet and teach, she did not like to see other Foxes hurt but she had the skills to get most back on their feet, yet, if someone did think she was a push-over they would be mistaken and she would be bandaging up some bumps and bruises that she inflicted upon them, she was not to be pushed around or toyed with, yes she was a healer, but she was by no means weak. The trail she was using had been used by others and made it easy to follow and find the new area she was walking towards but her senses remained alert the entire time she was hard to catch by surprise, catching her off-guard was damn-near impossible. This one was the whole package, oh yes, strong and sweet.

Fox's Name: Iumi
Personality: Though she is a contradiction to most others of her kind, she does have the 'mean streak' her breed is known for, and yet under all that cold, there is a heart and she longed for something deep down, something her father once had and yet she would resist all who approach her. Would she be alone forever or will someone break through the ice and take her Heart some day? Maybe, but not today.
Prompt Reply: Surrounded by punks, how did she ever get in this situation? The long fly had been calming, soothing, stopping to take a drink was the biggest mistake she had made today. This really wasn't something she wanted to deal with, these morons thought they could take her on? Please... There was nothing she couldn't face and take down, true they had not made clear why they had surrounded her but that didn't matter, she didn't like being messed with, being trapped. The one sneaking up behind her was in for a painful surprise as her Tail lashed out, cracking him in the cheek, that was simply a warning as she flared the icy flames as a show of Power this was their last warning before she simply took them all down and left them laying there to be found.. or not "Idiots..." they didn't learn, those that jumped at her were greeted in several different worse, one was slammed with a head-butt, the other was smacked away by a swiping paw. She had to use her Tail again but another Fox close enough of course bit it. Roaring out she beat him about the head with her Wing until he released her Tail and pounced on him, he'd pushed too far and was going to be mauled now, what remained of the uninjured foxes fled quickly, followed by those that had been hit. She'd gotten her point across but crossed the line. Backing off she looked around before taking back to the air, it was time to leave... Time to go home.... Somewhere.. safe.

Personality: Somewhat of a Sadist, he likes to inflict pain be it physical or emotional, those who do become his friends will simply have to deal with his strange sense of humour and the odd way he does things, He's not afraid of being hurt himself but mostly he does inflict it upon others.
Prompt Reply: This clingy furred rodent just would not leave him be, despite his best efforts. Seems he needed to kick it up a notch, flying off, verbally assaulting the other Fox was not working, he needed to resort to something more drastic. Having taken a long fly he landed to stretch his legs only to hear the familiar sounds of someone following him yet again. Sighing to himself his eyes darted towards the Fox who of course was not taking the hint, though 'Go away from me' was slightly more than a hint in his book. Turning to face the other Fox he finally flared his Flames out "I said beat it twerp! Go bug someone else or I'll burn your tail down to a nub!" Last warning, he would do it, those who knew him would be able to verify that fact first hand. Though he wasn't really social to begin with, more of a prankster in a sense he did take the loner route more often than not. He liked it, being free, being able to come and go as he pleased, go where he wanted, to what he wanted, when he wanted. Nothing to tie him down... Most would find it lonely but he was enjoying his life far too much to notice just how old he was getting, or the fact he hadn't settled down yet. But who would really be able to take him? This was proof of how hard to handle he was, trying to scare off some Random Fox who had simply grown strangely attached to him.

Personality: Mischievous, Playful, yet with a bit of an Evil streak in him, this Fox can be bad to the bone but if something catches his eye and peeks his interest his focus will shift from his usual trickster ways, onto that which interested him.
Prompt Reply: Fond of pranks and the likes the Winged Devil-Fox was waiting in the trees, he liked to hide near the water as Foxes always came to drink and today was no different. Watching the unsuspecting fox move in towards the water to drink he hurled a rock from his hiding spot in the trees, the large splash that followed soaking the other fox as he laughed boastfully. The other Fox was soaked, shocked and not exactly pleased with the laughing either but they tried to shake themselves off, their fur puffing out ever so slightly as the Winged Male almost fell out of the tree from laughter. Huffing the other Fox looked around towards where the laughing was coming from and sighed "That wasn't very nice..."

He finally caught his breath, sighing happily as he had found it quite funny "Depends on where you're looking at it from" it really did, he didn't realize how unstable the branch behind him was and as he went to sti down in victory it gave way and he came crashing down, branch and all. The loud cracking of the branch, thud and an "ooof!" followed, his pride was more bruised than his rear end though but instead of laughter he was surprised to hear the other Fox speaking in a hurried, concerned way

"Are you ok?!"

Was this Fox for real? He had just soaked them, laughed himself silly and when he got his Karma reward for it, here they come to check on him? Shocked a little, maybe shaken from the fall he got to his feet "of course I'm ok" he didn't need pity, No... Not at all. The other Fox was looking him over, they seemed.. concerned? Huffing he flicked his Tail as they had been sure to check if he was really ok, they seemed genuinely worried about him, why? They had just met. He turned to walk away but stoped at the voice speaking once again

"Be careful"

Looking back slowly he blinked now, this confused him, this kind, sweet fox showing him nothing but kindness when he had been a complete tool, shifting his eyes away for a moment leaving didn't even feel right, why? normally he would just fly away without a second thought. Why was he lingering so long? This didn't even make sense to him. Turning around he walked towards the other Fox "What's you're name?"

(Yes I'm ending it there)

Personality: Basically he's the knight in shining armour to his Family, one of them is in danger and come Hell or high water he is going to save them, nothing will stop him or stand in his way right now. He is loyal to his family and when they are threatened he is forced to act.
Prompt Reply: The Storm raged on but heDidn't care, he would find his hurt sibling and he would shelter her until it was all over, he WOULD help her, he WILL find her and nothing was going to stop him. The Rain, the wind, though it was harsh, it didn't phase him, his desire and his iron will when it came to family drove him on relentlessly through the intense weather. He called out when there was less noises in the air, listening for any response from the female, pushing on even through his own tiredness. Nothing was going to stop him... By luck, fate, chance? He didn't care which had allowed him to find the Vixen but he used his own body to shield her from the elements. He needed to see if she was too heavily injured to move or not but either way she needed his Protection and now that he was finally here, she had it all the way. His eyes scanned around for any actual cover they could go to, a large hollow log, a cave, rocky outcropping...even a thick brush or low tree with plenty of leaves to protect from the wind or rain would do right now, anything for his fallen sibling to be safe under.

(Hope I made it in time)

Fox's Name: Arun
Personality: The private normally hidden softer side is coming out, though normally he is brash and such, his more tender side is creeping to the surface without him realizing it at first.
Prompt Reply: Having frightened off some wild creatures that had surrounded another fox he was about to turn away and leave, the shaky voice followed him in the wind "Please don't go" looking over his shoulder quickly he did blink at first but turned back around to head back towards the other Fox, they seemed to still be effected by the experience and he looked around for cover before pointing his nose towards it.

Starting to walk on he nodded "Come on..." looking back at the whine he got in response his eyes grew wide, how did he miss that? The other's paw was stuck in some small rocks. Trying to pull it out at first the other Fox turned their head away and grit their teeth, that wasn't working at all, it was simply hurting them. Looking around he finally picked up a fallen branch and tried to use that as leverage, like a bark-covered human shoe-horn. After a few minutes of trying he finally felt the release of pressure against the branch and looked up at the other Fox who had been trapped. This explained why they had not actually been fighting the creatures themselves then, he'd simply thought they didn't have it in them. One nuzzle later and his eyes had grown wide, he was shocked. Normally he wasn't shown any affection, then again he normally didn't go around saving Foxes in distress either. He shifted his eyes quickly then turned to lead the way to a nearby shelter "Come" he heard the other fox carefully following, trying to be quiet and once inside the cave he turned to peek at the paw, yeah, it had been hurt pretty bad, it was a shock really the other wasn't rolling around whining in pain really.

Night was coming though and he made sure the other fox was laying near the back of the cave, laying in front and protectively watching the entrance, finally the other Fox spoke for the first time since they had entered the cave "Thank you... I mean it" he just shrugged it off at first, holding his guarding post right now.

Feeling bad for not responding after some time he finally sighed "it was nothing, what kind of Fox would I be to let something like that happen to another?" he had a point, he could be a bit of a hard-@$$ at times but he wasn't a complete tool. The other fox was tending to their paw but he did look over now and then to watch them. They would be in this cave until daylight and he must admit, the view inside the cave wasn't all the bad. The other Fox had nodded to him in response of course and slowly he was inching his way back towards them, not sure if they noticed the subtle movements or not. Eventually he was close enough to swat really and then looked back ahead quickly, like he didn't just move all the way up. Not quite sure why he was so intent on being close to another he wasn't fighting it either and in a sense he was starting to like this feeling, being close to someone, they hadn't commented on how he looked, poked fun in any way really, that was the usual thing but this fox, seemed fine with it... He smiled to himself a little, he wasn't hoping the other fox remained injured by no means, but the longer he had to look out for them, the better right now, he was liking this feeling and was in no rush to lose it.

Personality: He sounds like a fox that really tells it like it is and doesn't take no... ahem from no-one. The Vixen described sounds like one of mine soo, I'm gonna use her to bug him eheh.
Prompt Reply: Trying to lose the somewhat bubbly, chatty blue Vixen, the male was heading right for the sandy area he'd ventured out from 'stay away from flowers, the crazies are all there'.he thought to himself as the other fox bounced behind him, he looked back slowly now as she was still smiling at him, the barrage of questions coming at him "Where are we going? To see more Cool Foxes like you? I like your Tail... and your ears, the way they go round your head!" she was almost relentless, he did stop for a moment though, was it really that bad? He was being complimented and followed, he wasn't being seen as a freak.

Finally turning to face the other fox he shook his head "This.. on my head is a hood, not a set of ears..."

the other did blink at him now "Hood?[/b[

He took a moment, not sure he wanted to explain any more, yet, the female did nothing to deserve him simply walking off "Like a Cobra has.. Have you ever seen a Cobra?"

She nodded quickly, almost excitedly then finally grew quiet for a moment, he wasn't sure what to think about that but then "Cool!" was he hearing that right? did she say.. cool? That was it, this was officially the strangest fox he had ever met... But.. he liked it... She was kind, curious, and though she seemed dense at first it was simply she was so light-hearted she didn't judge other Foxes or anything negatively really, without reason. Maybe, just maybe.. he had found a Friend... That made him smile and while she was bouncing around he decided the hot sandy death-trap was not the best idea, he'd lose his new Friend...

Looking her over his whip-like Tail flicked "Where to next?" she looked at him, blinking at first, he had been leading the way

"I... Get lost a lot, I don't even know where I am now" he laughed while she blushed looking away, oh yes, he liked this Fox... She did speak her mind no matter what other Foxes thought, no matter the reason behind that, be it she was too dumb to lie which he knew was not the case or she just didn't want to.. Which he was thinking was more accurate, he could see himself travelling with this blue furred Vixen for some time, getting lost might actually be fun, what adventures would they stumble across together?

Finally walking up to her he nodded "Lead the way" they shared a smile, her's bigger than his but still, as she bounded off he followed, this may be the start of a glorious adventure.

Personality: Having been hurt, yet still having that craving, that need for someone, he's almost conflicted right now, should he give up altogether or.. keep looking for the Love he so desperately wanted deep within his Heart...
Prompt Reply: Sitting under a tree in silence the glowing Fox sighed to himself, where did it all go wrong? Why did she leave? He looked to the ground for some time, he'd lost a lot in his life, perhaps the flirting was his way of dealing with it, a feeling of never being alone as he could walk anywhere there were other Foxes and be noticed, he should have stopped flirting once he had a Stable Mate... That was it? He didn't stop? Sighing to himself he shook his head as the Vixen had been hurt by his antics, he didn't mean anything by them it was just who he was, he flirted, at the end of the day she was the one with his Heart. Looking back over where it all went wrong he could see the warning clearly now, she had gotten jealous, she thought she was going to lose him to someone else, the stress of that was what drove her away... To protect herself from losing him, she pushed him away? He caused this and he would blame himself forever, there was a lot he blamed himself for. Everything he had lost seemed lessened when he was with her and now.. that was gone... He wasn't sure if he could get her back, even if he could change himself tomorrow, which he knew was impossible, it was rooted into who he is, he had to be noticed, social, flirting and joking were all a part of that... Maybe he didn't make her feel special enough, maybe he didn't explain his feelings for her correctly, she was gone.. he was alone again... Looking at his paws he did let off the softest of whines, he didn't like this, he'd never liked this.. being alone... Unloved... He needed someone to Love him... Deep down his heart Ached at the loss, he wanted more than anything to feel that way again. The sigh that had been released from him lay heavy in the air as the winds blew it away, he had a glow, and yet he didn't feel it right now, he just felt like he was in darkness with nothing to light his way. He wanted someone to Love, but giving his heart away was scary, more scary now than ever as, it had already failed once.. Could he even survive another failed relationship? Who knows... For right now, all he knew was he missed those who had been closest to him and filled the air with a mournful howl before finally needing to rest, he'd exhausted himself today... This wasn't the fist time and it wouldn't be the last.

Fox's Name: Iumi
Personality: Iumi had her eyes closed, translucent wings spread to their full length and draped out on either side of her while she sunned on one of her favorite rocks. Cold never bothered her, but she liked to soak in the sun every now and then. In the background was the babbling sound of a river, the singing of birds and scurrying of animals, and this annoying drone that she had been studiously ignoring for the past half-hour. It had started with:

“Dude, that girl is seriously smokin’!”
“I don’t care how attractive you think she is, she’s sitting in the best spot and I want her gone!”
“Want me to do it? I’m itching for a fight, she looks like she might actually be worth my time.”
“Hey now! At least give me a shot first, maybe I can get some fun out of it. Chick like that, I hope she’s not a prude!”
"Will you two hurry up? I want to sun now!"

Since none of the offenders were bothering to keep their voice down, Iumi could clearly make out three distinct male tones. A quick peek, the merest cracking of an eyelid, had proven her correct, and that they were normals and totally not a threat to her. She’d gone back to sunning and ignored them while they babbled on in the same vein and did nothing. Perhaps they were hoping to annoy her away with their ceaseless chatter. Certainly the one who thought he was the Deities gift to females kept catcalling and trying to get her attention, though from the tone of his voice he was getting increasingly frustrated. The whiner was apparently going to die if he didn’t get to sun in the exact spot Iumi was sitting, and the tough-talker just boasted of his past victories and how easily he could take her down. She’d had to suppress a snort at the sheer idiocy of it all.

Suddenly a pinecone came flying out of nowhere and scored a hit on her snout. Iumi came flying upright with a vicious snarl, icy blue eyes murderous as they searched for the offender. Almost immediately they lit upon one of the three males, pouncing a pinecone casually on his paw with a smirk on his face

“How’d that feel,” he asked, voice smug, suddenly batting his second pinecone out of the air and towards her neck. Iumi dodged it with ease and bore down on the male, terrible promise shining in her eyes.

“Not nearly as good as this is going to make me feel,” she hissed, darting forward faster than a snake to seize the male by his neck and, before he could react, pumping her wings hard and taking to the air while holding him by his scruff. Hard to manage since it threw off her balance, but his yelps made up for it. She wasn’t carrying him far, anyway, just a few flaps over to the river and tough-talker found himself falling from the sky and into a cold, swiftly-flowing bath. The splash he made was quite gratifying.

“Hey, you can’t do that,” yipped a whiney voice from the river bank. Iumi looked over and noticed his friends had followed her flight. One of the foxes was glaring up at her, probably the one who had yelled. She raised an eyebrow.

“Wanna bet,” she called down, and without giving him time to answer she dived from the sky and literally landed right on top of him to seize him like his friend, using her momentum to launch her back up into the sky. This one made a bigger splash than the last, but she’d been higher in the air when she let him go. She looked around for the third male, but he had (sensibly) run away and left his friends to swim it out themselves. Iumi felt a brief pang of disappointment (it was fun to see how big a splash she could make), but was quite satisfied with her handiwork. She wheeled around and headed back to her sunning rock. She could probably work in another couple hours of relaxation, and if she was lucky those males would try to come back for a second round; next time she would see how big a splash they made when dropped into shallow water!

‘Or maybe just omit the water altogether,’ she thought, smirking. After all, she was her father’s daughter.

She strives to help others no matter what the challenge and nothing makes her happier than to know her efforts have genuinely helped. She’s a stubborn girl and refuses to give up without a fight. Figurative speaking, since Shiori hates fighting. She’s more likely to run away than get in a fight, but she’s not afraid to use her body as a shield to save others.
Prompt Reply: Shiori stared in disbelief at the large rock structure in front of her. She was very familiar with it, the shape was uncannily like a rabbit; if she stood at a certain angle there were two trees in the background that looked exactly like upraised ears.

She’d seen that structure at least a half dozen times today.

The female made a small squeaking sound of distress. She’d been trying to navigate through this forest for the past two days, but it was only today that she’d started to notice her surroundings weren’t changing like they should be. She pressed her face to the ground and wondered what the heck she was going to do.

“Hello?”

Shiori jumped and made a very interesting noise that she’d probably never be able to replicate, looking around wildly. A bit of movement caught her eye and she spotted a gray male standing just off to the side of the rabbit-shaped rock, managing to blend in with the stone. The male stepped forward, eyes staring ahead strangely.

“Are you alright,” he asked, voice sounding kindly concerned. Shiori sighed in relief. Finally, someone who could help her! She nodded vigorously and looked around for something she could use to scratch a message into the ground with, when the male spoke again.

“Hello? Is everything alright? Do you need help?” Shiori looked up, confused by the male’s questions. She pointed at her throat to try to let the male know she was mute, when those staring eyes made her realize something… This male was blind. She wanted to plant her face back in the ground. How was she going to communicate if this male couldn’t see her or what she wrote?

“What’s going on?” Shiori’s head shot back up at the sound of a new voice, this time female. A vixen had come up to stand next to the blind male, also grey but with more vivid colors for her markings. She looked between Shiori and the blind male, confused. “Everything alright?”

Shiori frantically waved the female over and used her claws to scratch her message in the dirt. After a few very confused minutes (especially for the poor male!), the couple was finally able to figure out what Shiori wanted and offered to act as guides, an offer she gratefully accepted with much emphatic head nodding. She was going to avoid forests for a while after this!

It’s this feeling that he gives off, that lurking just beneath the quiet, seemingly placid exterior is a fierce fighter that could take you down before you even realized what was happening. It’s not some tough guy bluff, not some sort of macho-ism thing. It’s something he does completely subconsciously, which makes it all the more intense.

Thankfully Arun’s pretty calm and has excellent control over himself, so he’s unless you give him a reason he tends to avoid fights rather than seek them out. He doesn’t talk a whole lot, at least not at first, but if you somehow manage to hang around him a lot you’ll find he can hold a conversation just fine. Since he’s a solitary guy by nature though, good luck with that. He hides a lot behind his stolid exterior but deep down there’s kindness, protectiveness, and a sense of honor.
Prompt Reply: Arun let out a huff of air that sounded like a grunt, bright blue eyes staring down into a pair that were every bit as blue as his own, albeit a lot closer to the ground, but also just as fierce in their own way.

“Either make yourself useful or go away,” squeaked the kit in an approximation of a growl. Arun felt a twinge of annoyance mingled with an odd sensation of admiration for the sheer cheek and boldness. He wouldn’t have been so sassy as a kit if he’d been tangled up in a briar patch, because he’d never done something so silly as getting tangled up in briar patches.

The kit startled wiggling, trying to free herself and making little squeaks of pain as stickers embedded in her fur and pricked at her skin. Arun let out another sighing grunt, then carefully waded into the middle of the patch and began prying her loose. He couldn’t just leave her there! Finally she was freed and he plucked her up by her scruff, ignoring the pricking sensation in his mouth he got from the stickers in her fur, and carried her out of the briar patch before setting her down on the ground. He turned his head and spat out a sticker and a bit of loose fur, then sat down and began grooming the annoying things out of the fur around his paws and legs.

Finished, with a neat little pile next to him, Arun glanced over at the kit who hadn’t made a sound this entire time. She was trying to do the same thing he had been, though her inexperience showed; her pile of stickers was much smaller and there was a lot more hair in it. Well, she did have a lot more stickers in her. Something about the bold kit’s gumption charmed him. It must have been highly uncomfortable, but not once had she uttered a complaint or asked him for help beyond getting her out of that patch. Before he was fully aware that he’d made the decision to do so Arun had stood up and went over to the female, flopping on the ground with her between his front paws, and began pulling the stickers that she couldn’t reach out of her fur. And even when he tugged a bit hard at a particularly stubborn clump she still never complained.

Finally, what must have been an hour later, the kit was clean and fluffy again, though her skin was probably pretty tender. And this whole time she’d still said nothing. Little blue eyes examined the large sticker pile, turned and peered up into the mildly interested blue eyes above her, and she gave a squeaking grunt of satisfaction.

“Thanks,” she piped, then turned and whisked off into the forest before Arun could blink. And blink he did, slowly, wondering at the lifting sensation he felt in his chest. That was when he realized he was smiling. What the heck was he smiling about? He shook his head over the nonsense of it all and stood up. Then, taking the opposite direction the kit had, Arun did his own vanished act into the forest.

Fox's Name: Raidon
Personality: Raidon is not what you’d call the demonstrative type. He’s a worrywart and fiercely protective, but it’s hidden beneath a matter-of-fact exterior. Secretly he tends to freak out and overreact to a lot, but it’s like that calm exterior kicks in and cruises around on autopilot while underneath he’s fussing worse than a grandma. Sometimes the exterior cracks a bit to reveal the emotional goo under all his stoicism, but he’ll flatly deny it if you try to tease him.
Prompt Reply: Raidon had to pause for a break, the muscles in his legs arching sharply and threatening to give way if he didn’t stop soon. Even knowing that he needed the rest, he was loathe to waste even a minute more of time than he had to.

Word had managed to get to him that one of his sisters had had an accident. He’d set out immediately, and for the last two days he had walked nonstop without pausing for food or sleep, only a couple water breaks. Today was the last push, but his body was finally protesting the treatment it was being put through. As if to make matters worse, a growl of thunder rippled through the air and the wind brought with it the scent of rain. Letting out a growl of his own, Raidon began massaging the muscles in his legs in an attempt to speed up the recovery process.

Thunder suddenly crashed around him and the wind whipped up into a howling wall, flattening his fur to his body. In the span of a breath Raidon was drenched a sudden downpour of rain; it was less like drops and more like standing under a waterfall. He let out a silent snarl and struggled upright. Screw his legs, he was making it through this now!

It was a harrowing journey that would make a fine tale for kits to listen to in the years to come. He slogged through the downpour, fought the wind with every step, had to free himself from mud, avoid falling trees and flying debris, and work his way around a shifting landscape. Finally the storm stopped a few hours from dawn, in the annoyingly calm and peaceful light of new day Raidon made it to his sister’s home.

Only to find out that “accident” was an already-healed stubbed paw…

Fox's Name: Kai
Personality: A little depressed over his lost mate. She'd been the love of his life. He'll have to go through a grieving process before his old, teasing personality comes back to the fore.
Prompt Reply: Ellica was gone, and Kai couldn't help but think it was his fault somehow. Had he flirted too much with other foxes around her? He didn't think he had. Maybe it was because he hadn't been able to give her kits? He shook his head and snorted as a wave of anger over took him. "Or maybe it's her fault." The anger passed and he sighed. No. Maybe it was no one's fault. They just...grew apart.

Kai sighed and continued on. He knew he was in a bad place with all of his emotions in a turmoil. He wanted to do two things: find his full grown kits and check up on them, and find Frey and immerse himself in something normal, something that would get his mind off everything.

First, Farah, Kian, and Xinder. He hadn't heard much about his son at all, though Farah had some kits of her own. Xinder had fallen off the map entirely for a while, but she seemed to have resurfaced in a tribe. He was glad about that. He wanted to make an effort to reconnect the ties with his children.

After that he was going to go to Frey's and Kina's den. He was going to impose upon their hosptality and swap stories about their kits, their families, and what had happened since the last time they'd seen each other. It was going to be quite helpful, he knew, and go a long way to lifting his current melancholy.

He chuckled to himself. "Get ready, old friend, we are going to to kick me out of this depression if we have to." And he was going to get back to his normal self. Eventually.

Fox's Name: Mephistopheles
Personality: Heh. Meph is going to be a little full of himself, probably a bit of a jerk. He's going to relish teasing his friends, and especially his mate whenever he gets one. Adam Black
Prompt Reply: Mephistopheles watched the female Deava with an intensity that was driving him up the wall. Honestly, he usually wasn't the type to become so obsessed with someone else but she.... She was witty, fiery, independent as hell...and she didn't want him. Him! The Deava who had helped her get through that horrible storm while she was hurt. Something, he'd like to tell the ungrateful vixen, he wouldn't normally do for just anybody. He huffed and shifted on his branch.

No...the vixen was always going on about some other guy. A Phim, no less. Oh, he was going to be putting a stop to that nonsense. He just had to figure out how. He wasn't the type to bring flowers or meals; those sappy inanities were not his speed. No, it had to be something else, something that would stop her thinking of that other male forever. His tail swished while he laid his head on his paws and thought.

Slowly, a grin pulled at the corners of his mouth, a devilish grin that showed off his sharp canines and the hint of crazy that his plan was. The vixen trusted him, enough for Meph to get her to follow him. He could take her to a cave and keep her there to woo as long as he needed. Flowers, never, he wrinkled his nose at the thought. Meals, well, duh. And he'd find out what she liked and give her those things, be nice to her, sing to her if he had to pull out that gun. Or not sing to her...did he even know how to sing? Probably should practice first if he was going to try that.

He would become her world, and he would make her his and his alone. Putting his best smile on, he hopped of the branch and glided down to where the vixen was. "Hey, I've got something to show you." He purred at her.

Personality: Quiet and reserved, speaks only when he thinks it is needed. Careful with his words, serious, patient, yet not unpleasant. He speaks quietly and politely to all. The quiet serious type, not often going to put his emotions or his thoughts out there for other's judgement but will be truthful about such when asked. Has a kind heart just guards it closer than most. Willing to take charge in a situation if needed.
Prompt Reply: Raidon had been planning for this storm ever since that neighboring elder sent word that it was coming. Proper food provisions stored away, proper dens made on higher ground and amungst large hills and trees to offer shelter, and quietly helping his family get ready for the up coming impact. He didn't seem anxious, but quiet and calm making sure everything was ready. He didn't say much and had always been a quiet observant kit growing up, and to an extent was easily overlooked a lot of the time. His big sister having to deal with his more rowdy and outgoing siblings, it was a relief to not have to worry that he was doing what he should. He always tried to help out his big sis where ever and when ever he could.

The storm hit with such force, bending the trees in powerful winds it looked as if they might break. It howled and wailed like a banshee sending shivers down their spines. It had come up so fast it surprised them all. His eyes scanned the den, but one was missing! His little sister wasn't there! He saw one fox running towards them, and he ran out to meet him asking about his sister. The other fox stated that last anyone knew she had gone to pick flowers by the gorge. It always had the most beautiful blooms, but he knew that in this wind and water she didn't have a chance. Without asking another question he darted out into blinding rain that stung his eyes and pelt like tiny needles. All he could ear was the howling of the wind as he made his way to the gorge.

His ears were up listening for her, because he knew his voice wouldn't carry far enough. Not just his ears, but his eyes scanned the gorge. Large torrents of water were already filling it, and vicious rapids and whirlpools had already formed. One such whirl pool had his sister, who was garbling and struggling for air with tiny squeaks. He instantly darted along the bank. He gripped a large tree branch in his mouth sending it out into the water to catch her with the other end filled with leaves. She was barley conscious, and was slipping. He gave one final tug to bring her as close as possible before leaping in himself. He was a powerful swimmer, grabbing his sister in his mouth, he tossed her to the bank quickly. He held his breath, and beat with the current of the water managing to get close enough to a large rock on the bank.

He went over to his sister who was laying there trembling and coughing. Without hesitation he picked her up by the scruff of her neck, and ran back for the safety of the den. The wind had gotten worse, and new floods of water were coursing over the once dry land. He didn't relent, breathing heavily, his eyes narrowed in determination he brought her back to the safety of the burrow. Everyone congratulated him, but he took no praise saying nothing on the matter. His only focus was to make sure she was safe, and would be alright. One he finally knew everyone was safe, he could finally relax.

Fox's Name: Arun
Personality: Intense and passionate. He often thinks his views are the right ones, and debates his ideas adamately. Though he respects tradition he often decides to try to do things 'better'. Out going, he loves a good time as much as anyone, but can get very aggressive if challenged. His aggression intimates some, though a select few see it for the intense passion it is. He would rather blaze a trail himself than follow behind.
Prompt Reply: One thing about Arun is that when you are so engulfed in your own views, it's hard to see or understand another's. His passion often clouds his judgement, even though he often tries to do what is right for everyone. He didn't recognize the quiet little purple tinted fushia female which had been watching him. Often when he spoke, and even when he got into fights she would watch him. A quiet spectator she always seemed to be around him whether he noticed or not. Always absorbed in one goal or another, he seemed to keep himself busy as if he had to prove his usefulness.

He noticed one day that she was watching him. "What do you want!" he asked rather forcefully. Her ears laid down nervously, and she shifted on her feet. "WELL?? Answer me!" He was starting to get agitated. She didn't say anything, but just gave a rather gentle little smile up at him. He blinked looking surprised. Most people didn't smile at him unless they agreed with him. He stood there staring at her. Her coat was impressive and glistened lightly. Her eyes were the richest green of fresh spring he had ever seen. Though she started to blush a soft crimson, ears laying back she turned and ran off. He just looks confused but decided not to think about it any further.

One day he heard jeering and taunting as young males often tended to do. He turned to look to see a group of them had surrounded this female from before. Her ears laid back, and eyes wide with fear boarding on tears. Seeing her soft green eyes glisten like dew dropped grass made his aggression burn inside him. How DARE THEY! Why didn't the female defend herself? She didn't say a word, but kept trying to run as they cut her off. "Awww..the little runt trying to run away?" one teased. "The little inbred. She doesn't even want to talk to us," another sneered. Arun burned so badly, his teal eyes began to glow as he marched himself over there. "A pathetic mute..you never should have been born," taunted a third as he threw a rock hitting her on the head leaving a tiny trickle of blood.

That was it, with a roar like cry he leaped at them, tackling one to the ground biting him soundly. There was a yelp, and he leapt at the second one head butting him into a tree. He made short work of them, yelling, "THAT WILL TEACH YOU TO TORMENT THOSE WEAKER THAN YOU!" His eyes blazed with fury, as all of them quickly ran tails tucked under their legs. He now realized why she didn't talk. She was mute. He turned to her. "I'm sorry they did that to you. Come on, I'll take you to the healers." She just looked up at him with those tender eyes, an gave him a soft smile that melted his heart to his toes. She held up a single flower, the only one left untrampled by the bullies. He took it saying in a rather uncertain tone, "Um...uh..thank you. Come on now."

She gives a small nod, and walked next to him giving a gentle nuzzle to his shoulder. He almost felt himself flushing as he helped her to the healers. Goodness, what had become of him? His strong demeanor had turned into a stuttering school kit. But when he looked at her, he knew that he just couldn't help himself.

I realized I made a mistake, so I made adjustments.

Personality: Kind and gentle, may not be the most physically strong but is there for her friends. Compassionate and a good listen ear to anyone that might need it. Creative and perhaps a touch of a dreamer, always seems to be looking out at nothing. She always wants to be of help in spite of her handicap, and her body structure and facial expressions are more exaggerated to compensate for not being able to talk. She loves to read, and learn about nature.
Prompt Reply: She loved to wonder about the forest, and had been known to do so on more than one occasion. She loved the flowers in bloom, berries that were delicious, and the feeling of dozing off in the sun warmed fields. She felt close to mother nature here, and sometimes let her day dreaming run away with her. She had followed a very rare blue butterfly further into the forest than she usually went. It was thicker, so dense the sunlight didn't touch the ground as often..or was that the sun going down? She looks about, staring up but could hardly see due to the dense canopy. How long had it been? She didn't know, but instantly tried to find her way back.

She walked and walked until her legs ached, and it was getting truly dark now. The shadows had stretched out making ominous patters along the ground, where she could see it at least. Her ears twitched with the sounds of coming night. She bolted this way and that with no success. Panic was starting to grip her heart, pounding blood through her ears, her deep panting breaths as she struggled to find her way home. Eventually she knew that she couldn't do anything until day break. She found some very thick bushes with a strong scent hopefully to hide her from wolves. She heard a distinct howl off in the distance, and she curled up trembling terrified.

Her sleep was broken, what ever sleep she did get. Once day break hit, she cautiously crawled out from under her hiding spot, and began to try to make her way home again. All the trees looked the same, and try as she might she couldn't figure out which way she was to go. Two days and two nights she tried to find home with no success. She collapsed into silent tears, her body shaking. She was hungry, worried, frazzled, and so very exhausted. Wolves and hoot owls kept her up a lot at night with her fear and imagination getting the better of her at times. Then she heard something, a soft voice humming! Someone else was here! Perhaps they could help her find her way out! With hope lighting her heart, she ran towards the voice choking back happy tears.

Fox's Name: Kady
Personality: Gentle and kind, she has a perfect bed side manor but firm and stern when she needs to be. May be pretty but she is no push over. From the hardened warrior to the youngest child she is willing to help anyone, even the stubborn ones. She is wonderful with kids, and hopes to have her own one day. She hates war and fighting, and always wishes for things to be resolved peacefully. She is not afraid to speak her mind if she feels the situation warrants it.
Prompt Reply: Kady had traveled from town to town, helping those in need of it. She had yet to find the right town to settle down in. This one seemed nice enough, and for the most part the others were friendly as well. A wide happy smile and pleasant greetings she gave to all. She had healed some scrapes, and helped to sooth some bruises, but nothing of really big significance here. She heard there were some rather vitamin rich herbs in the forest near here. So early at sunrise one morning she took a woven basket out to the forest to see what she could collect. She hummed a soft song she had learned to help sooth patients, since she did love to sing in her spare time. The forest was indeed beautiful, and she found quite a few herbs that she could use. It seemed her source was rather accurate and she was pleasantly pleased with the result.

Then she heard running foot steps coming in her direction. Her ears went up, and her eyes alert. Her feet were ready to dart at a moments notice. She knew how dangerous the forest could be at times. Though what she was was brilliant pink and purple fur running at her from a rather friz coated female. She blinked as the female ran up to her panting heavily. "Oh my! Hello there dear! Are you lost?" Kady asked kindly. Shiori nodded, giving a weak smile. "Well don't you worry! I know exactly the right way back." Kady gave a gentle nuzzle to the top of her head, and gave a reassuring smile. "I'm Kady. What's your name?" The female's ears wilted, eyes turning a touch sad as she gave a slow head shake. Then Kady remembered that some of the others had been discussing how a mute fox had not been seen for a few days. They were discussing a possible search party for her. "Aaahh! Are you Shiori?" Shiori nodded vigorously, a look of question in her eyes. Kady smiled with a reassuring chuckle. "It seems you have been missing, and they were going to start looking for you. Come along, the path is this way."

Shiori looks a touch surprised that they might have actually gone to look for her. With a grateful nod she eagerly padded next to the little healer all the way back. "It's good I found you! It can be easy to get lost in the thicket of the forest like this. You need to be more careful," Kady said with a gently reprimanding motherly tone. Shiori nodded ears laid back guiltily. She gave a gentle nuzzle to Kady's shoulder, and Kady smiled nuzzled back. "Ah well, at least you will be home safe. It was very nice meeting you, Shiori." Shiroi gave a small nod like bow in response. Thus a wonderful friendship was made.
