I nearly flipped a table at the change to the darkspawn
Nearly puked everywhere at Flemeth's new look and how they made her a sex symbol.
How your little brother pretty much the same way as King Calian
The background, I want NOTHING TO DO WITH ALISTAIR EVER XD
Now note I haven't gotten very far,but I like
Battle system (I actually have to be at my controller to play for once XDDDD)
More freedom(movement in the maps isn't as limited as the 1st one, example Denerim compared to KrikWall Denerim=have to map travel to other areas KirkWall= Walk to other places)
Shop set up (Da1= 1 shop had weapons,armor,ect DA2= multiple shops)
Character customization (-minus if you wanna be a female hawk you have to have short hair) Mainly the fact my tiny T.V can actually pick up the real color of the eyes
What about you guys what was the Pros to Da2 to Da1 and the Cons to DA2 and DA1

Flemeth looks amazing.
It makes sense she would have a sexual looking appearance at some point because she was considered a treasured beauty at one point, before the Witch of the Wilds so yeah.
Brother could have been sister.
Regardless Carver is a d**k. biggrin !

I hate that Zevran cheats on me
I LOVE that I can finally romance Anders.

I've done about ten playthroughs.
I do like the way she looks though I would have preferred to see Morrigan trying to kill her mother like in Witch hunt.
Still Carver dies pretty much the same as Cailan which was lame.
It's just like it was in Dragon age Origins you had Three main places Denerim Redcliffe and Orzammar(only because you spend a lot more time doing quest there then any of the other treaties)
Alistair is the worse I would prefer to have a man who admits that he is a cheating man whore then a man who builds me up to marriage only to leave me to have a child with another women at the end. I don't know about other girls but I like to know before hand if something will last or not. (not saying your relationship with Zevran will last longer but it does last longer then Alistair's)
So far I haven't found one character I would even romance with. I prefer elves over humans any day I really don't like the way they look in 2.
I haven't gotten to the ending (please no spoilers)
I have a overly obsessive amount of love for Origins and I hope I can have it as well for 2.
I've done like 30 playthroughs for Origins so I'm hoping I love 2 as much to do 30 as well.

For me, DA2 had a much better combat system but the maps and environments were bland and recycled like crazy. Villians tend to use the exacts same warehouse for some reason....
Story was kinda dull as well in my opinion. For the first half of the game your nothing more than an errand boy/girl trying to make money. Not much depth there. Hawke suffers from what I like to call "Shepard Syndrome". They could've thrown in some more moral choices as well. Also where are the DRAGONS? There were like 2 big dragons that weren't even relevant to the main story of DRAGON Age 2. Too much mage and templar bickering in my opinion.
Also as a male, the female love interests weren't as interesting. Isabela and Merril don't quite compare to Leliana and Morrigan.
And more weapons can't be a bad thing either. Think borderlands but with swords and bows

I really don't like that DA2 was like We'll make up for the lack of Dragons in DA1 and BAM here's a bunch of dragon offspring to battle for like 5mins then not have another dragon lol
and I mean you defeat the Dragon that made Dragon age it's name.
I read in the codex that the High Dragon (Kolgrim's sick fantasy of the dragon being reincarnation of Andraste) defeated a entire army and pretty much made Frost back mountains the Lair of the High Dragon until you come in with 4 people and kill it.
I'm just glad that the armor doesn't all look the exact same like they did in DA1 like Drake scaled armor looks just like leather armor just a different color where now you have tunics and other types of armor that still do the same thing just in a much better way i guess lol.

There are a few pros and cons for me.
I can see why alot of fan girls love zeveran but why would you want to have the left overs of every woman(and man) from antiva to fereldan i mean ewwww. I am more interested in the story and how my chocies affect the game. Origins grips you story wise more so then in DA 2. the whole image thing with flemeth did kind of leave me a wee bit sick but on the other hand the armor is cool and the way they made her look in dragon form is pretty cool. the battle system is fine in both games it really does matter to me as long at it isnt a mash one button and beat the game kind of game

Plus a lot of people back in those days were whores or slept with whores and contracted something disgusting. You were seen as a child if you were a virgin at Alistair and Zevran's age.
I liked Zevran because he was much more original then b*****d son of the throne like I haven't heard that one a million times. Plus much better looking then Alistair.
I think hands down Origins has the best story.
I could careless about battle systems honestly as long as the story is good the game is good.

Alistair never left me.
He stayed with me so I'm not really sure what you mean.
Like he married me, kissed my hand in Awakening, and mentioned me in DA2.
DA2 was definitely rushed though.
And the ending made my punch infants mentally.
Regardless.
I prefer Anders as opposed to all the other companions.
