I actually don't think anything's going to happen.
But I thought that last year, too.
...and I did think the sky was winter-colored this morning...

This is a generic message going out to all of the message boards, blogs, and other online presences I spend my sad little life on. I live in the New England area, and the time has come for the yearly "We've forgotten what weather is and we're all going to die!" first storm of the year. I wouldn't think about it twice, except that this time last year, we got several feet of snow and lost power for a week. I really doubt that will happen again, but in case I disappear; this is probably why.
Either that or I've been eaten by a yeti.

It's the oddest thing how it's almost Halloween, and yet it's still eighty here. The west coast is weird. My roommate asked me how the weather was, and when I told her it was 77 degrees, she couldn't decide if it was cold or not o_O

Here in the Midwest it's the "we've forgotten how to endure the cold" phase of the season. Then comes grouching about "x-mas" and "happy holidays" being anti-Christmas replacements.

Keep a close eye out for yetis, I hear they lure you into their caves and try to feed you yellow snow cones.

I can't wait to be holed up in my house doing nothing. emotion_c8 Bring on hurricane Sandy.

Nothing out of the ordinary from my normal routine. At least when my electricity goes out there's always pencil and paper... and candles!... and stuff...... yeahhh.... bring on the hurricane...... wooo....

Well, the power was out for about two days. I'd ask if anyone missed me, but it looks like nothing much happened in my absence. Did anyone else lose power?

Fortunately my mum came up to see me from Florida, unfortunately it was during the hurricane. Going on four days of no power at my grandma's house. Ridiculous amount of board games and candles. They don't even have power back yet and my mum leaves tomorrow morning.

My home never lost power, and well... I just got home and here I am. My week in a nutshell.

edit: It's also unfortunate that there is no Halloween for me this year due to many things... Happy Halloween, though! With all of the mess going on I had completely forgotten about it. There wasn't a Halloween decoration in sight. As the years go by there seems to be less and less... not one of my family members seemed excited or had brought it up strangely. Everyone was so focused on something else.
