Name of Kid here: Sunny Blaylock
Fear amount of kid: 40

Sunny (short for Sunshine Esmerylda) was raised by an ardent mother determined to awaken the ~*spirit of the arts*~ in her child. Subsequently, she so over-stimulated her daughter that Sunny herself has become simultaneously blase and very, very twitchy. Sunny enjoys the dark, because only at night are the hideous colors of her room remotely palatable. Or, at least, she would if the floorboards would stop creaking...

Sunny carefully checked under the bed. Her slippers were there, all six pairs; she lowered the bedskirt gingerly, so as not to disturb them. The closet came next, revealing a wealth of ruffles, beads, and bright colors; she propped the door open with The Big Book of Fairytales. She wasn't a chicken, after all. Nope. Not one bit.

After all the appropriate places had been checked, she crept over to the nightlight, a concoction of beads and feathers that probably should have caught fire months ago. She bit her lip and chewed on it for a minute, then clicked it off and scurried back to her bed, fluffing the blankets over her head.

The closet had been very considerately left open for any monsters that might like to go and have a look inside. How could Nahm refuse such an excellent invitation? There were more ruffles than he personally liked, but hey. Closet. He slipped into the closet, then picked up the nice big book that had been carefully placed to prop it open, held it out at arm's length, and dropped it with a thump.

Slipping through the wall and into the room, Rosy blinks a couple of times before she had to rub her eyes. Too many color even if they were calm due tot he darkness. She would honestly hate to see this room with a light on. Checking towards the scareling, she grins before she floats around for a moment. She just come in right as another was slipping into the closet, so it was not an option at the moment.

Looking to the bed, she eyes the ruffles on the bottom of the sheets, then to the beads towards the end of the bed. That could work, at least she hoped it would.

Dropping down toward the ground, she floats low as she moves toward the bed. Slipping under, she reaches through the wood, she grabs the the bead. Lifting them as high as she can, she throws them back towards the wood with a loud crack against it.

Sin was excited to be out in the human world and to have her first chance at scaring! She really wasn't very scary looking compared to most of her fellow classmates, but she was working on it. She crept towards the bed and realized the space was occupied.

Instead Sin moved to the toychest and slipped behind it, from this point she looked out at the whole room. What a riot of colors, it was almost painful the way it all clashed, but luckily it make all the shadows seem a bit more jumpy. Sin reached behind the toychest and started to ruffle the child's curtains making them billow eerily despite the closed window.

She could almost appreciate how colorful this room was. Almost. Bright colors were meant to be accents, not dominate, in her preferences. She could appreciate all the beads and feathers though. Those were just adorable.

Noting someone was already in the closet, and though she'd just seen Rosy float under the bed--and another ghoul had moved to the toychest after seeing this--Agsil snuck over to join the night hag. The ghost didn't bother her, and if she had to argue it, Agsil did know the ghoul. Sort of. As it was, that table didn't look large enough to keep her hidden.

Still, she had a few options where she was. Flicking her tail out from under the bed, she let it drag noisily across the ground back and forward in a slithering motion before lifting it to draw it back in under the bed silently. As she did this, she reached out to slash her claws against the wall with the mask pattern on it. Unfortunately, some ink seeped from her nails onto the wall. Oops.

This was clearly his best plan yet.

Thannas placed himself next to the window, slipping into the curtains, where his diminutive form could almost hide. Focusing intently, he allowed his silhouette to appear on the floor, horns and ears seeming longer, and far more menacing, as the light cast the tiny boil in a bit of an er....taller light. Claws and fangs bared, he showed off his profile, complete with a long, low growl, as gutteral as he could manage. It almost seemed as though the 'shadow-monster' was creeping towards Sunny's bed.

Yes. Yes. He was the damned scariest thing in this room he was.

Mind you had he noticed Nahm in the closet, Than himself might have made a rather undignified, childish noise.

Well this room seemed popular. Spotting Than behind the curtains, Aksaja smiled faintly and waggled his fingers at the fae-hound. That shadow thing he was doing was pretty nice. The dragon had another plan, though. Moving behind the chair where he could hide from the bed, Aksaja eyed the mirror on the wall. Then he reached up with one clawed hand and scraped across the glass before hooking the underside of it and knocking it to the floor.

Thump.

Sunny sat up in bed, her hands grabbing the blankets and pulling them close, just a little bit. What was that...?

... Just a noise? Yeah. Just a noise...

A little whimper escaped Sunny's throat at yet another noise. She swallowed, hard. Nope. She was brave. Brave. Very very very brave...

"I'm not afraid of you!" Sunny squeaked. "I'm not, there's no such thing! No such thing as monsters..."

And then she heard something under her bed. That was quite enough - Sunny shrieked, tugging the blankets over her head as the scream faded into "not scared not scared not scared not scared-"

She peeked out just in time to see-

With a sharply indrawn breath, Sunny clicked on the light, banishing all shadows as her heart pounded in her little chest. She was just imagining things... right?

"Be quiet, Sunny! Go to sleep!" came her mother's call from down the hall. She swallowed.

"I-I'm okay... s-sorry!"

The light clicked off again.

Oh this was very good! The mirror breaking seemed to get a really good reaction, so Aksaja decided to try one other thing before leaving. Picking up small pieces of glass, he started to lob them at the walls and furniture to make small thumps and tinkling noises.

"SUNNY!"

"I'm not doing anything!!" Sunny shouted back, and her little face looked more annoyed than frightened.

All right, this wasn't working anymore . . . he was done. Aksaja sighed softly at his inability to come up with something else scary for this kid. Slinking toward the door, he exited the room quietly.

Sunny grumbled and rolled over in her bed, her eyes drifting closed... vulnerable.
