As one of the nights matches came to an end, the audience was treated to a video on the 'tron. Matthew Franks, one of the backstage reviewers, stood to the right of the frame, and someone with their back turned to the camera stood opposite him, not even reacting to the man next to him.

"Ladies and Gentlemen..."

The man with his back to the camera visibly jumped when Matthew began to speak, proving that he hadn't noticed anyone in the room. The figure turned to reveal the disappointed face of Brody Robinson, who now had a large brown stain down the front of his shirt.
"Jeez, you guys are like ninjas. Ah well. I'm not a huge fan of coffee anyway."

Pulling off his shirt at the collar, he threw the stained garment off-camera and
looked back to Matthew.

"So, what's up Matty?"
"Well, since the company rebooted, you really haven't said much...."
"Now that's not true. On that first night I came out to greet that Salem guy and threatened to beat a Christian with a bat, remember?"
"Yes, but since then, you've been rather quiet. And the fans have noticed. They've sent in a few questions, and I was hoping you might be able to answer them.

Brody rubbed his chin for a moment, acting like he was actually contemplating the proposal.

"Sure, why not? I have been a bit silent as of late. Ask away, oh mighty interviewer.
"Ok. Now, some fans have been asking about your little argument with Jimmy Monera. Is there any specific reason you went to the ring in the beginning? And is there any chance you're gunning for Monera anytime soon?"
"The reason I went out there is pretty clear. Looking back, I probably should have stayed in the locker room, but what happened happened, and I can't change that. As far as going after Jimmy is concerned? Maybe, maybe not. Doesn't change the fact that he's a bit odd in the head. I mean, look at the little stunt he pulled earlier. The fact that he couldn't even convince his partner to help him should tell you where his mind is at."
"And what about his wife Natalie? Your actions seem to show a bit of leeway with her."
"I don't hit women. Not with bats, not with fists. Simple as that."
"Indeed. Now, on the same night, you offered your services to Salem Croft as something of a mentor. He's made quite a stir over the past few weeks, but we've heard nothing about your allegiance. Is there something you both are hiding?"
"Yes. We're secretly in love and we were married in Alberta. It was a lovely ceremony."

Matthew stopped for a moment and stared at Brody's head, trying to work out if he was joking or not. Brody's beaming smile did nothing to alleviate his confusion. But a few seconds later, Brody started to chuckle, unable to sustain the horrible joke for any longer.

"Just screwing with you, bud. But I haven't heard much from him. Got an email from him a few days ago, but I didn't pay much attention to it."
"Well, do you have an opinion on his promise of change?"
"Thousands of people say they're gonna change something each year. Some of them are politicians, some are smokers, and some are wrestlers who think they can make a huge splash in the industry and 'change' the way things are done. I've been around for a bit, and this stuff usually doesn't mean a thing. Politicians leave their offices they way they got them, smokers can be tempted back by one cigarette, and wrestlers either realize their following the path of King Sisyphus, or their changes revert back as soon as their not looking. Everyone is too stuck in their ways. No amount of change, literal or figurative, is going to help."
"But say he does accomplish his goals. What will you say then?"
"Depends on which way he goes with it. If he keeps it clean, gives everyone their shot, I'll be more than happy to help. If it goes to his head, and he starts cultivating an ego the size of the PCU John F. Kennedy, then we'll have a problem that can only be solved by repeated strikes to the head and neck."
"On that note, I think that's all the time we have. This is Matthew Franks with WWF backstage, and we'll see you in the ring."

Matthew reached up to his temple and made a quick saluting motion towards the camera. Seeing this, Brody raised his first to fingers and gave a quick salutation of his own before the screen when dark and the show itself cut to commercial....
