It had taken her a while to convince her mom that she really didn't need to go to bed at eight o'clock and that nine o'clock was a much better time to sleep. Mrs. Morgan hadn't exactly been partial to the idea, and she had given her daughter some very suspicious looks - but after Robin had gestured - very obviously - to the closet door, which was across from her bed, she had gotten the gist of it.

"Fine, you can stay up," she said, sighing in resolution, and a very happy Robin had spent the next little while attempting new tricks on her skateboard until she managed to knock into her bookshelf and then it was time to go to bed, sweetie.

Robin, on the other hand, still did not want to go to sleep, especially not after that buttface Jake Pepper had told her what he had. She was not going to go to sleep, she was not going to be taken in by any shadows, nope, nope, nope , nope -

She was asleep within five minutes.


[ Lights out! ]

Robin's eyes shot open.

Suspicious look to the left.

Suspicious look to the right.

It was Jake Pepper teasing her again, wasn't it.

"Go away," said Robin primly, and rolled over, pulling her blanket over her head.

Creaaaakkkk.

Robin's eyes opened again. Hugging Mr. Big Eyes to her chest, she slooowly rolled back over, looked at the closet with a round eyed expression, eyes big as plates, and then slooowwly slid down her bed and pulled the blanket over her head and huddled there.

Jake Pepper was so going to get a kick for this.

Okay, the clinking was creepy. Was Jake Pepper secretly in her room?

Robin sat bolt upright, staring wide-eyed across the room and hugging Mr. Big Eyes so tightly to her chest that she was probably cutting off circulation if he had actually, you known, been breathing.

She also may or may not have been hyperventilating a little.

When all he heard was the shifting noises of the scareling sitting up in bed he paused debating if another move would be safe or not. Hm they weren't allowed to kill or reveal themselves. Lost in thought he had to smirk at the graceful announcement that he wasn't alone in the room. Hearing the scrap from the closet he rolled his eyes and bit his tongue to hold back an 'oh how graceful.'

Waiting a few moments he tempted a hand along the wall and the front of the scarelings bed, using his claws to grip the pillow case of the scarelings pillow and give a tug, quickly letting go he slid a claw up to tap the highest point on the wall to draw its attention hopefully away from under the bed after the tug and give a more all around impression.

Smirking at the scream he let the pillow go back to the scareling when it was tugged. Peering towards the FEAR meter on his vest he almost snorted at the ten. Oh Jackdamnit! Wasn't the max per scareling like twenty five? Maybe if he could get this kid to scream one more time..He could move along. Coming up with a plan he put both hands on the sides of the bed and tried to shake it as best he could while his tail swooped and thudded the floor.

Following the scent of someone familiar, Jove made his way to another little child's room, and snuck in through the usual way. The little foxfire simply disappeared into the shadows collecting in the corners of the room, except for his bright blinking eyes, which saw both the familiar reaper and an unfamiliar monster already terrorizing the child. And doing quite a good job of it.

The pup noticed a book laying on the floor, and nosed his way under it so it protected him like a little tent, blocking his fluffy form from view as he scuttled around the edges of the room. It made a rasping sound, but other than that he was silent as he trotted over to see Roch at the child's bed.
