It still hadn’t truly registered yet. Candace may have said that Bix and Ceres were gone, but Molly, deep down, really didn’t believe it yet. If Molly was logical, she’d be looking for the Sun Hunter right now…but that was the beauty about denial. It blocked out reasoning and comforted her with thoughts that weren’t true. It protected her for now, from the reality of seeking out Bix and the truth. What she did know, and believe though, that there were many hunters who were hurt and distressed, and she needed to know that those important to her were okay. Molly skittered quickly down the dorm hall of the first floor, and nearly ran into one of the doors in her hurry to get to it. She braced herself with one arm, taking in a few deep breaths as her anxiety went through the roof. Molly reached up and started to knock on Dakota’s door insistently. It was a panicky and desperate rattle of knockings. Please answer, please answer, please answer…

Dakota had stayed on the bed where Clerise had left him. It had been a long time since he had cried himself, a long time since tears had been so strong that exhausted him where he couldn't even think of girls.
It was funny but this pervert couldn't even think of sex! It was too full of pain and hurt and self doubt. So much self doubt. A moon who had lost two moons to death...No..one to death and one to stone. Ryan's arm was broken but at least he was alive.
If you could call how they came back alive. Weaponless, broken and devoid of will.
The knocking didn't hit him, it was dull in the the back of his mind. Then it got stronger, desperate, Calling.
Struggling to push himself up, he moved to the door and cracked it, staring at the redheaded mist.
"M...olly." His voice cracked before he ran a hand over his face and opened the door more. His face was rugged with 5'oclock shadow, eyes puffy with red and a little bit bloodshot. "Sorry sweet and petite...don't think I can cheer you up or anything..." he mumbled.

Molly kept on knocking, and knocking, and knocking. The longer there was no answer, the more panic she felt. When the door finally cracked, and she caught of a glimpse of Dakota, the panic immediate dissipated. It didn’t matter if he looked rugged and less than his usual chipper self.
He was there and that was all she cared about.
Molly’s face broke out into the most relieved and grateful smile at the sight of the Moon. Once he opened the door wider, Molly didn’t waste any time in nearly tackling the young man, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist and crushing him against her. “I don’t care about that, Dakota!” She exclaimed, “I’m just so happy you’re in one piece and here!” She then sniffled, because she was that relieved.

He didn't even have time to blink as the door flew open and he had a armful of mist hunter crushing the breath out of him.
He didn't think it was possible that HE of all people could be crushed by ANYONE, but there they were, Molly collapsing his lungs in his already tired body.
"M...O....LL....Y...." He dragged out her name as he wiggled around, "Pretty sure I was one of the few to come back in one piece..kinda of." Without Chama, he was literally half of a piece.
"Ah.." Dakota stared at her, "you didn't go on the mission....did you?"

Sadly, Molly kept Dakota in a crushing hold for a few moments longer after he was gasping for air. She was just relishing in his warmth and presence, and just oh so happy he was there. When it finally clicked, she was quick to release him, looking extremely apologetic. “Oh, I’m so sorry!” She cried, looking terribly dismayed. “I’m just…I’m really glad you’re here.” Her hands moved to hold onto his though, her thumbs brushing over the tops of his knuckles.
At his question, she shook her head. “No…someone’s got to stay behind and pick up duties while everyone is gone…so I stayed…but…I’ve heard um…what happened from Miss Candace…” Not in much detail…but what she needed to know anyways, really.

Breath catching...Breath failing...Countdown to suffocation of death immeninant...5...4...3...2...
Dakota just closed his eyes and leaned on her. "I'm glad I am too, even if I still don't feel like I should be." the moon hunter cocked his head at her, then down to their joined hands. He brought it up to his lips and placed a chastise kiss and then let go.
There was a moment where he debated on sending her away. He wasn't in the mood for conversation, at least he didn't think he was. He sat on the bed and stared at the wall.
"You know two hunters....they died right?" Dakota continued to stare at the wall and rub his face. "I've never had a friend...die..." Ceres. Ceres was his friend. Bix...He didn't know the sun hunter well but he called him part of the sun brotherhood...
These were people he knew...not just random hunters...but hunters he knew. Friends, Friends with Friends.
Chama...Chama...

Molly had nothing to say in response to that. One couldn’t change how people felt like that, after all. The kiss brought a brief smile to her lips before it faded, and she let go of Dakota’s hands as he let go of hers. She watched the Moon Hunter go sit on his bed, and glanced back between him and the door. Uhh…
The Mist trainee reached out and softly closed his door, pausing at his words. “…Yes, I heard.” She replied softly, that traitorous defense mechanism kicking in again and dismissing the two hunters that died as names that definitely were not Bix and Ceres. She then quietly came over to the teen, and stood nearby, debating her next course of action. After a moment, she took a chance and took a seat next to the Moon on the bed, where she then folded her hands on her lap. She looked over at him.
“…I’m sorry, Dakota.” She murmured. “…If there’s anything I can do for you, please just let me know.” Hugs or company or both. “We don’t even need to talk…” She murmured, assuring. “…If you just want to sit here, that’s okay…or…um…if you want me to leave…that’s alright too…” Though she hoped that that wouldn’t be the case, as her lips pulled into a saddened frown.

He felt the bed dip with Molly next to him and dropped his head in his hands. Tears didn't come this time, no...He had cried himself out.
"You know, Chama doesn't talk to me...She's a tablet on the table right now. I can't be consoled by her." Dakota laughed miserably, "I don't even feel like a hunter Molly."
His head stayed in his hands.
"What am I doing here anymore. I'm not even a hunter, I'm the worst moon hunter of the whole ******** division." he breathed in, "And Marcus was turned to ******** stone. And Rep and Harrison were attacking us. I thought I was defending the right thing you know. Rep...he's such a ******** a*****e..." Dakota looked up at Molly, "Rep had orders to put them down. So he did...and when he got to Ceres we had to defend her. Hunter vs. Hunter. It was insane Molly. Insanity."
"I feel so lost...and so angry and sad. I've never felt like this. I've never cared enough to and this...sucks!" It was like a teenager to say such things.

Molly fell silent as Dakota spoke, and her expression was utterly patient as she listened to him. Molly was always an attentive listener. As the teen went on, a hand eventually came up to gently rub his back as he spoke, and after he had finished, Molly took a moment to collect her thoughts as she thought over what he said. Marcus had turned to stone…Rep was taking out his fellow hunters due to orders…on one hand, she couldn’t help but feel happy that she wasn’t there…but at the same time…she was terribly sad that she wasn’t…for people like Candace and Dakota.
“…Miss Atropos isn’t speaking to Miss Candace either…I think…well…I hope, they’re just…resting. I mean…they were stone tablets before we bonded with them so…” Molly bit her lip, and then shook her head. “You’re still a Hunter, Dakota. We weren’t accepted because we always had our partners…” Her voice was soft, but calm and collected as she kept rubbing his back. “You’re not the worst in the division, Dakota. Don’t say that. I’m sure you tried your hardest…the best that you could, and that’s all anyone can ask of you, alright? I think…I think it’s okay to feel lost, and angry, and sad…and yes…it does suck.” She agreed, smiling softly before it faded.

"Yeah..Yeah Candace was there." Her, Otto and Eva. Ryan...Kat, Ariane....All the hunters who had been there were weaponless. "Resting yeah..." He could only agree as she talked.
"No, No I'm not a hunter Molly. Its just...Even with Chama gone and even being a suck a** Moon..." Dakota hesitated. "I didn't follow orders."
He looked up at her now, "Caelius told us one thing. Cut down the hunters turned with their weapons. They...Bix...He was the first and then...Ceres....I came in when they were attacking Ceres and hopped right into defense with them..."
He closed his eyes, "We were so busy fighting each other that the wolf b***h came in. She got Caelius after silencing our weapons." He rubbed his eyes and just stared back into the distance.
"I've never felt so stupid you know? I couldn't follow orders because of my damn morals, but I did what was right and we lost a division leader. It's just a ******** of feels Molly..."
"And Clerise let me cry it all out but now I'm just kinda of empty. You know...empty." He looked at her again. "I can't even get it up right now...."
That was saying something.

Molly fell silent again as she listened to Dakota, her brows furrowing. Following orders. That was one of the pillars that made up the personality that was Molly. Follow orders, and she wouldn’t get in trouble, right? As long as she did what she was told…she shouldn’t get in trouble. But to attack fellow hunters…due to orders…could she? Would she? She couldn’t help but admire and respect Dakota for disobeying orders. For not compromising his moral code…but he was right. Did disobeying orders cost them a Division lead? “… I…I really don’t know…if what you did was right or wrong, Dakota…” Molly admitted softly, looking over at the teen. “ But…I can’t help but feel so much admiration and respect for you, because you did what you thought was right…even if it went against orders. I think…if you just followed orders blindly and did what you were told with no hesitation or question…then you…you wouldn’t be the Dakota that I know and love.” She smiled a bit then, and couldn’t help but wrap her arms around him again, cradling his head against her. “… Getting it up isn’t important right now, Dakota.” She murmured.

"I don't even really know myself. I question myself....every minute I've been awake since I came back.." He looked over at her now with surprise and shook his head, denying the words that she was saying.
"How can you respect or even admire me Molly. ******** up remember. Little teenager ******** up, can't follow orders, should and probably will get cuffed the minute Chama wakes up, that's if she wakes up. Been crying waterworks like a kid's water park..." He started to laugh as the arms wrapped around him and fell into the hug. tugging her over on to his lap instead and held on.
"You say that but for a long time that's all I could focus on. Sex makes it easy to forget everything else." He rested his chin on her head. Somewhere he heard the L word but thought about, knowing Molly she did love him. Just not in the super romantic way. To be honest, he loved her too. And Otto, Clerise, Ryan, Wilson and Marcus.
"And this is why I love you...as a friend ah...sorry that was lame okay. Your a great friend Molly, I can really count on you..you know?" He sighed, "it should be me admiring you right?"

“… Mmm…but Dakota…what is done is done…and continuing to beat yourself up about it isn’t going to change anything…but learning from the situation will affect how you handle it in the future…” She smiled then. “ Oh, you’re so easy to look up to, Dakota…” She couldn’t help but giggle very softly then, despite the circumstances. “… and not because you’re so tall…and you’re not a screw up…so I better not hear those words out of your mouth again, young man.” She tried to take a stern tone, but it quickly faded as she ‘eeped’ as she was pulled onto his lap, but she settled regardless. Molly hummed a bit softly at his comment about sex, and then smiled. “ Oh, I know, Dakota.” She assured, and then blushed lightly. “ Aww…it means a lot to me to hear that…and I’m glad I can be…someone you can count on…you’re a great friend too, Dakota. One of the best…” She shook her head. “ No…how about…we agree on mutual admiration, huh?” Compromise! Molly fell silent for a moment, thoughtful…before she finally spoke up again. “… May I…tell you something, Dakota…? Why…why I became a Hunter?”

"Yes Ma'am!" he amended, feeling a lot better to be honest. It really started out as moping but...between Clerise and Molly and Candace...He just had to realize that they were all suffering. he should know...Being a hunter was suffering.
"Mutual admiration even If I think your better because of your optimism..." He blinked at her blush and a grin spread. He placed a super noisy kiss on her cheek just because she was adorable and because she had made him feel better. Then pulled back to raise an eyebrow.
Somewhere, he had been curious. How come Molly was a hunter? She seemed too sweet, too pure for this world...Except when she whooped his a** during spars...okay no she was a powerhouse and he knew it...
"Tell me! Why did you become a hunter Molly..." Dakota stared at her intently....

“ Well…I think you’re better too, so……” So they were matched! “… So okay?” Hopefully Dakota would just accept it. It’d be easier that way. Molly ducked her head for a moment, smiling a bit more as her blush spread as Dakota kissed her cheek. She was silent for a while, before she spoke up, her voice soft, and tilted her head back up towards the Moon Hunter. “ My parents passed away in an accident around the time I was almost out of high school…and I had a little sister who was very sick with a weak heart. I was her big sister, and it was my responsibility to take care of her, and I tried as hard as I could. I worked from sun up to sun down, and I took on many different jobs to pay bills…and unfortunately I left her home a lone a lot.” Molly paused, her brows furrowing before they softened. “ One evening, I really dragged my feet getting home…I was just so tired, but when I got back to our apartment…my little sister was screaming, and when I managed to reach her…she had been so spooked…so…scared by…by shadows that she passed away in my arms.” Here Molly held onto Dakota a bit tighter, and sighed softly. “ When I woke up here…I couldn’t help but be sad, and I blamed myself. I thought I had to be the most horrible person. If only I hadn’t dragged my feet, if only I hadn’t left her alone for so long…maybe she wouldn’t have…but…but I realized, with the help of others that…I did the best that I could, and no matter how much I wish I could change the past…it wouldn’t. So now…now I need to do the best that I can for myself in her memory. I’m hunting so that maybe, one day, no sister will have to experience what I did.” She smiled then.
